Her body was even fairer than her face—pale like milk.

Even through the thin fabric of her clothes, it was obvious.

Xing Yu’s gaze suddenly darkened. His eyes fell on the center of her chest, where he noticed a sesame-sized black mole, slightly rounded.Full novel: Reunited with My Abstinent Boss—Now He Won’t Let Me Go — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He remembered that Wen Yao also had a mole in the same place—similar in shape and size.

Wen Yao noticed that Xing Yu was holding a towel but hadn’t handed it to her. Following his gaze in confusion, she lowered her head and saw that beneath her soaked clothes, everything was clearly visible.

What difference was there between this and not wearing anything at all?

Her face instantly flushed red. Instinctively, she crossed her arms over her chest to cover herself.

She felt annoyed—how could she forget she was wearing a light chiffon blouse? Once soaked, it became transparent, just like wearing nothing.

Xing Yu had originally wanted to take a closer look, but her arms blocked his view, leaving him unable to see anything.

Only then did he notice that her fair, delicate face had turned completely red.

“Aren’t you already married? Why so shy?”

Wen Yao froze at his words. When had she ever been married?

Then she remembered—shortly after joining the company, she had claimed to be divorced with a child.

Xing Yu must have heard about it.

She didn’t plan to explain. Seeing him suddenly walk toward her, his strong masculine aura made her instinctively step back. She kept retreating until her back hit the wall, with nowhere left to go.

She slowly lifted her head, looking at him in confusion as he approached step by step.

For some reason, it made her feel uneasy—dangerous.

“President Xing? What are you doing?”

Xing Yu stopped, grabbed her wrists that were shielding her chest, and was just about to move them aside when he noticed her slender body trembling violently.

It was as if she was extremely frightened and tense.

His hand paused. Then he released her and stuffed the towel into her hands.

“There’s a hairdryer on the counter. You can dry your clothes.”

With that, he turned and walked out of the bathroom without looking back.

Wen Yao listened as his footsteps grew farther away. Only then did her tense body slowly relax. The look in his eyes just now had been terrifying.

Like a beast staring at its prey.

As if in the next second, he would force her hands away.

After calming herself, she used the towel to wipe the water from her hair and clothes.

Once she was done, she picked up the hairdryer, switched it to warm air, and dried her soaked clothes.

Meanwhile, in the living room—

Xing Yu took a bottle of ice-cold cola from the fridge, twisted off the cap, and drank straight from it. The cold liquid eased his dry throat and the heat in his body.

Just seeing that scene earlier had stirred a reaction in him.

In the past, even women walking around in bikinis in front of him left him completely unmoved.

Had his temper—or perhaps his desires—been running too high lately?

Thinking this, Xing Yu took another big gulp of cola. Then his thoughts returned to the mole on her chest. Was it just a coincidence, or had he seen it wrong?

There were too many similarities between the two of them.

Wen Yao was even more easily embarrassed—her fair face always tinged red.

When he thought of Wen Yao, he realized that despite searching for so long, he still had no news of her.

He had almost considered using his connections from his military comrades to investigate, but he knew that would be illegal.

Only now did he realize just how little he knew about her.

He didn’t even know where her hometown was.

Nor did he know what she liked.

So now, he was searching like a headless fly—without any direction.

After drying her clothes, Wen Yao didn’t bother with her still-damp hair. She put the hairdryer back in place and walked out of the bathroom.

Seeing Xing Yu sitting on the sofa, she walked over.

“Thank you, President Xing. I’ll take Xinxin home now.”

Wen Yao had only taken a few steps when Xing Yu called out, “Wait a moment.”

She paused and turned back to look at him. “President Xing, is there anything else?”

Xing Yu lifted his head and looked at her. “I bought Xinxin a phone watch. She said she could only accept it if you agreed, so I’m letting you know.”

Wen Yao didn’t understand what Xing Yu was thinking. Or maybe it was just a simple gift—something worth thousands meant nothing in his eyes.

But in her eyes, those things were very expensive.

She couldn’t afford to accept them.

And Xinxin didn’t need them either.

“President Xing, you don’t need to buy her anything. She can’t accept the phone watch.”

Xing Yu looked at the slightly agitated Wen Yao. “I gave it to Xinxin. You can’t reject it on her behalf. Just treat it as a reward for your outstanding work performance.”

“President Xing, those are two different things.”

“It’s just a phone watch. You don’t need to take it so seriously.”

Xing Yu took out his phone and called the driver. “Send Miss Wen and Xinxin home.”

Wen Yao didn’t understand why Xing Yu had to be so domineering. Why did she have to accept whatever he gave?

It was like this before, and it was still the same now.

He never cared whether she wanted it or not.

Only whether he wanted to give it.

“Thank you, President Xing.”

After stepping out of the villa, the chill around Wen Yao finally faded.

When she saw Xinxin, she forced a smile and walked over.

“Xinxin, it’s late. We should head home.”

“Mom, you’re here!” Wen Xin ran over and threw herself into her arms.

Wen Yao lowered her head and looked at Xinxin, who was covered in sweat. “Mm, did you have fun?”

“Yes!” Wen Xin raised her wrist for her to see. “Mom, look—Uncle Xing gave me this phone watch. Can I keep it?”

Wen Yao recalled what Xing Yu had just said, and the stinging pain in her chest still hadn’t faded.

“If you like it, then keep it.”

“Really?” Wen Xin looked at the phone watch on her wrist with joy. “I like it so much—it’s pink!”

Xu Ziyang walked over, grabbed Xinxin’s hand, and asked, “Xinxin, aren’t you going to play with me anymore?”

Wen Xin was also reluctant to part with him. “I’m going home. Let’s play together at kindergarten tomorrow.”

Xu Ziyang raised his hand and pointed at the phone watch. “Then call me.”

Wen Xin patted his shoulder reassuringly. “Mm-hmm, I will.”

After saying goodbye to her friend, Wen Yao held her daughter’s hand and got into the car.

Before they even left Jincheng, Wen Xin had already fallen asleep.

Wen Yao looked down at her sleeping daughter in her arms, her gaze falling on the phone watch on her wrist.

She had thought about buying one for Xinxin before, but after checking, she realized they weren’t cheap.

The one on her wrist was a more expensive model, with more complete features.

President’s Office

Wen Qi walked in and placed a gift box in front of President Xing. “President Xing, this is the bracelet you wanted.”

Xing Yu looked over. The dark red gift box was exquisitely made. He picked it up, examined it for a moment, then opened it. Inside was a bracelet made of pure gold.

It was the one designed by Wen Yao.

He took it out and examined it carefully.

At that moment, the vice president walked in. Seeing the bracelet in Xing Yu’s hand, he couldn’t help but praise, “President Xing, this bracelet is very beautiful.”

“It is indeed beautiful.” Xing Yu looked up at the vice president and suddenly asked an unrelated question, “Do you know which university Wen Yao graduated from?”
