~{JENNA’S POV}~
*
(WEDNESDAY – Her third day with Carl)
The morning I arrived at work and the elevator doors opened, I came face to face with the lady named Beatrice and she flinched at the sight of me and took a few steps back in caution.
“I heard you had an acne outbreak.
Oh poor you,” I feigned pity but it sounded like I was mocking her.
She looked mad but scared at the same time and didn’t dare cross the line again.
She didn’t even say a word and I walked into the office and walked past a few staff cubicles and they all began to give me strange looks while whispering amongst themselves.
The moment I walked by, they would instantly keep quiet and simply stare and it irked me so I stopped in the middle of the office and looked them in the eyes just for them to cower or look away.
“Did Beatrice tell you all that her acne outbreak was my fault?” I asked and they looked at me but refused to speak.
“Well, in response to that, I am at fault and if any of you gets on my bad side you will face the same fate.” After saying that, I resumed walking and went to the boss’s office which was also my office.
Today I had on a big furry bright brown and milk colored coat that went all the way to my legs on milk colored high heels.
As for the top, it was a body hug cockroach brown silk material while I wore loose white palazzo pants to go with everything.
The moment I was about to open the door to the office, someone beat me to it and I was face to face with Lily.
Her eyes went wide as she slowly took in my appearance.
“Good morning, Lily,” I cheerfully greeted.
“Oh…ehm, good morning, Ms Jenna.” She greeted me back and I frowned when I discovered she added a title to my name.
Could it be that Carl must have told her of our fake engagement?
How exciting!
She quickly stepped aside and I elegantly stepped in and my eyes instantly went to Carl’s desk and I found him seated behind it as he worked on his laptop.
“Hey babe,” I sweetly called out to him just so Lily could hear it before she leaves.
I heard her inhale in surprise before closing the door behind her.
Lifting his head from what he was doing on the laptop to look at me, he sighed and said, “Are you trying to show off, Jenna?”
“I am,” I plainly answered and went to my little setting as I took off my coat and set it aside before coming to stand before his wide desk.
His desk setting was wider than mine but I don’t mind it one bit.
He had called me those names so it shouldn’t bother him that I am calling him sweet names.
“Yes, Jenna?” He flatly called my name while busy with his system and I could tell he wasn’t going to use pet names on me.
Come on!
“I want us to have a grand wedding.” I said what was on my mind.
“How big?” He asked without looking one bit bothered.
“Very big,” I answered with a mischievous smile.
“Noted.” He agreed but I frowned at him when he wasn’t giving me the needed attention.
“What does he have that I don’t,” I blurted the question that had been burning in my mind and that seemed to pull his attention.
He stopped what he was doing and looked at me before saying, “He is a man.”
Those words hit hard even when I knew it and I snorted out a laugh.
Of course that was it.
“I don’t mind changing for you, Carl,” I seriously told him.
“I don’t do transgenders,” he flatly said and I sighed heavily as I thought of another solution.
“I can make you feel whatever you’re feeling for Levi, I can assure yo-”
“Jenna,” he firmly called my name.
“Yes?” I answered.
“The touch of a woman repulses me.” He told me.
“But you touched me when I was drenched in rain,” I reminded him.
“That’s because the situation called for it.
Didn’t you notice how I instantly let go of you when we got inside?” He reminded me and I sighed heavily.
“I would advise that you stop trying to make me love you because that will not happen, not even in my wildest dreams.
I am gay and will be gay till the day I die.” He stood his ground.
Sighing, I turned and wanted to walk back to my little desk only for him to say, “Beatrice came into my office to report you.
She says I should fire you because you are a witch.”
“Do I give off the vibe of a witch?” I cunningly tested the waters and his response to that was, “Yes.”
Without commenting on it, I went back to my desk and sat heavily on my office chair before looking at the documents on my desk.
Sighing, I began going through them.
They were requests for collaborations by other brands and their choice of clothings was impressive.
I didn’t know when I got immersed into what I was doing and by the time I lifted my head to look at Carl since his desk was slightly far from mine, I found him openly observing me.
It took me by surprise but I didn’t show it and even after catching him, he didn’t look away.
It was like he wanted me to know he was staring and instead of it looking romantic, it was concerning.
“Staring won’t get you what you’re looking for, darling.
You have to cut me open and look inside, then you will know.” I sarcastically said.
“If that is why you think I am staring then you have missed it completely.” He smartly said and gave a wicked smirk.
“Why then are you staring?” I finally asked.
“I just discovered I have found my model.” He excitedly answered and it left me speechless.
So that’s why he was staring?
Suddenly a thought came to mind and I put in conditions.
“I am your PA and now, fiancée.
If you want me to be your model you will have to give me what I ask.”
“What do you want?
Name it.” He eagerly asked and I smiled in triumph.
“A passionate kiss from you and a romantic moment together.” I named what I wanted and his response left me astounded.
“Deal!
When and where do you want it?
Here?
Now?”
Now we’re talking (✷‿✷)
