“She signed the contract.”

I was already dressed for work when Carl’s call came in with that news, leaving me incredibly shocked.

SHE BACKED OUT!

So why did she agree?

She changed her mind

So why did she unchange it again?!

“She did what?” I blurted out in disbelief.

“She came back to my office and requested for the contract so we could get on with it.

She’s game.” He excitedly said, leaving me wide eyed.

What game was she playing here?

What’s your motive, Jenna?

“You should have refused.” I disapprovingly said.

“Why, Levi?”

“Because she was being disrespectful and was constantly pulling our legs.

You should have put up a front too and show that you are also more stubborn than her.

She can’t just walk in there and act like she owns the place.

Who does she think she is?” I asked in annoyance as I got ready to leave my house.

“She’s the daughter of The Hart’s Foundation.” He broke the news and I came to an abrupt stop as my eyes went incredibly wide.

“Tell me you’re lying, Carl.

There is no way that lady can be their daughter.

She’s too arrogant.”

“That explains it.

She’s been acting all big and mighty from the start and I failed to notice that until she broke the news to my parents over that date.” He revealed, making me nearly choke on my saliva.

“No she did not!” I exclaimed in denial.

“She told me she can buy my father’s company, his shares and everything.” He revealed and I narrowed my eyes in suspicion.

Yes, we need the money but I didn’t trust her.

“What did she ask for in return?”

“Back then she wanted me to love her but yesterday before signing the contract she requested something different.” He recounted and I narrowed my eyes further as I left my bedroom and went all the way downstairs to my living room.

“You.”

And just as that word left Carl’s mouth through the phone was the same time I arrived at my living room in time to find someone totally unexpected.

“Good morning, Levi.

I came to pick you up for work.” The person eagerly announced as she got up on her feet with a bright smile.

It was JENNA!

“Carl?

Why is Jenna in my house?” I asked and no response came just for me to realize he had ended the call.

When I looked around I found some unknown security standing at the entrance who were obviously not mine and then I looked back at her in disbelief.

Do they belong to her?

“How did you get in?” I asked.

“I told them who I am.” She simply said and began walking towards me in that slow sensuous way like she was trying to seduce me.

Today she had on a red fitted suit and neatly tied her hair up in a bun.

I used to think bun goes well with straight hair but here she was, proving me wrong since she had wavy or should I say curly hair.

I don’t even know but it’s curled.

I looked through my contact and dialed the team security because I couldn’t believe he would not inform me of her coming.

“Hello, sir,” he answered the moment I called.

“Who am I seeing in my apartment, James?” I irritatedly asked.

“Mr Carl’s representative, sir.

He called us saying she would be coming by.

You told us we didn’t have to stop Mr Carl and that he can come in and go as he pleases.

So we also thought it applied to his representee due to how close you are with Mr Carl.” He replied.

I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply before exhaling to calm the irritation that was building up fast.

When I opened my eyes to look at Jenna, she was smiling brightly and even winked at me as she got closer.

Without saying another word, I cut the call and pocketed my phone before walking past her and she quietly followed.

On getting outside, my car was already waiting with my driver who quickly opened the back door but before I could get in, Jenna hurried ahead of me and got inside and I stood in surprise.

“You can try that with Carl but not with me.

Now get out,” I instructed but she didn’t step out, rather she shifted inside while audaciously saying, “We can share.”

“Get me another car,” I irritatedly instructed and the driver nodded but-

“Fine!

I’ll get out but don’t stress the poor man.” She said in disgust before stepping out and I gave a triumphant smile and went in. This story is hosted at novelping.com.

Nevertheless, on getting inside and the driver closed the door, she hurried to the other side of the car and wanted to pull the handle but I quickly held it from the inside, stopping her from opening it.

She looked surprised at my behavior and it made me laugh as she struggled to open the door but couldn’t.

“Quick!

Drive the car!” I shouted and the driver hurried to the front but Jenna was quick to open the front door where the driver was supposed to be and got behind the wheels before tapping a button to lock all doors from the inside, leaving me wide eyed.

Then she turned around with that evil smirk and said, “Now you’re all mine.”

“Jenna don’t!” I warned but she did just that.

She drove…

“What is your freaking problem, Jenna?!

This is not the time for your drama!” I yelled at her as she began to drive around in circles within my residence since they didn’t open the gates for her.

“Drama?

Look who’s talking!

The queen of drama!” She snapped back.

“STOP THE CAR!” I angrily roared at her.

“Only if you agree for me to go wherever you go.” She gave a condition and my eyes burned into the back of her head.

“Aren’t you supposed to be at Carl’z Empire?” I asked.

“Not if I don’t want to,” she answered and did a frightening turn with the car, leaving me disoriented.

“JENNA STOP THE CAR NOW!”

“NOT UNTIL YOU AGREE!” She yelled back.

“FINE!” I screamed in response and she did one last turn as she brought it back to where it was and stopped it.

I was breathing heavily and my nerves were ruffled, leaving me unsettled.

She huffed and pushed an invisible strand of hair before turning to look at me with that nerve wrecking smile.

“This is no way to treat your superior, Levi,” she coldly said and I frowned in confusion while trying to understand what was going on here.

“Superior my ass!” I annoyingly blurted out but her next words were,

“What contract did you think I signed with Carl?”

Her question left a cool sensation washing over me but I refused to believe it.

It cannot be.

And then she smiled and said,

“That’s right.

You are officially mine, whether you like it or not.”

What a girl!
