He slowly backed out of the Pope’s chambers and made his way down the mountain.

Passing through the temples of the Zodiac, the other Gold Saints felt the oppressive weight of Alex’s Cosmo and shuddered involuntarily.

“Strange.

Has it only been one night?

Why does it feel like Alex has grown even stronger?” “Just how much power is that guy hiding?” “Dammit.

Alex sealed the Aquarius Temple last night and never stepped out.

How the hell did he get stronger?” Upon reaching the foot of the sacred mountain, Alex’s figure instantly blurred, transforming into a streak of ice-blue light that shot straight into the sky.

This was the light-speed movement exclusive to Gold Saints who had awakened the Seventh Sense.

Although he couldn’t achieve true light speed in a world protected by the gods’ curses, it was still vastly faster than any ordinary form of transportation.

In less than half an hour, Alex traversed the distance from the Sanctuary in Athens back to the freezing permafrost of Siberia.

His figure materialized within the Spire of Ice.

Sensing his arrival, Hyoga approached and dropped to one knee.

“Teacher!” It seemed Hyoga had just recently broken free from his icy prison.

His face was deathly pale, and his clothes were covered in frost.

Staring at Alex’s back, Hyoga recalled his near-death experience yesterday, barely managing to escape the frozen tomb.

Alex’s overwhelming power filled Hyoga with a profound dread, causing his body to tremble involuntarily.

With his back turned to Hyoga, Alex spoke calmly.

“Hyoga, do you resent me?” Hyoga kept his head bowed and replied in a deep voice.

“I would never resent you, teacher.

I know you act for my own good.

Only through the strictest discipline can I truly grow.

May I ask what brings you here today?” The corners of Alex’s mouth curled up slightly.

He turned around, his face completely devoid of emotion.

“Put on the Cygnus Cloth and fight me with everything you have.

If you win, your training is complete.

If you lose…

I won’t hold back this time.

I will send you straight to the bottom of the ocean to keep your mother company in that sunken ship!” Hyoga jerked his head up, utterly shocked.

“But, teacher Alex, I’m not ready!

Even with the Cloth, there’s no way I can match you.” He had heard from his senior, Isaac, that their master was a monster capable of suppressing multiple Gold Saints without even wearing his own Gold Cloth.

He was hailed as the strongest Gold Saint of the current era!

For a mere Bronze Saint to attack his teacher—let alone defeat him?

Hyoga tasted bitterness in his mouth.

His teacher’s demand was simply impossible.

Alex let out a cold laugh, his eyes completely void of warmth.

“The Holy War is about to begin.

The Goddess stands right behind you.

When you face the Marines and the Specters, are you going to tell them you aren’t ready?” Alex began walking outside.

As he passed by Hyoga, he added: “Put on your Cloth.

I’ll be waiting outside.

Treat me as your mortal enemy and fight with the intent to kill me.

Because if you don’t, you will die!” Hyoga lowered his head, clenched his fists, and fell silent.

Out on the tundra, the sub-zero gale whipped snow against their faces like thousands of tiny, cutting blades.

Alex looked up at the leaden, gray sky and murmured softly to himself.

“Athena…

are you watching this battle unfold right now?” A crisp sound of metal clinking against ice echoed from behind him.

Clad in the Cygnus Bronze Cloth, Hyoga stepped forward.

His armor reflected the piercing, cold light of the frozen wasteland.

He took a deep breath and assumed an offensive stance, a fire of unprecedented determination burning in his eyes.

“Teacher, I am ready.” Alex nodded slightly, his voice completely flat.

“You have exactly three chances to strike.

If you cannot defeat me, go join your mother in her eternal slumber beneath the sea.

I have no need for a worthless student!” “Mother…” That single word acted as the spark that ignited Hyoga’s Cosmo into a roaring blaze.

His pupils shrank sharply, and the moisture around him instantly condensed into a flurry of ice crystals.

“Take this!

Diamond Dust!” _____ T/N:
