( (Jayjay had been unusually happy that day.
For once, there was a genuine excitement in her heart.
She had planned to tell Keifer about the two companies she secretly owned, hoping that their success could help him secure his inheritance.
She had even imagined the look on his face when she surprised him.
She had been looking forward to it.
But she never imagined that before she could reveal her biggest secret, Keifer would reveal his.
And that one revelation would shatter everything.) 🖤 Jayjay’s POV Keifer’s words kept echoing inside my head.
“I used you…
and the whole Section E knows about it.” Over and over again.
I stood frozen in the middle of the classroom.
In front of me stood the entire Section E.
All sixteen boys.
The same boys I had laughed with.
The same boys I had trusted.
The same boys I had believed would never intentionally hurt me.
But right now…
They didn’t look familiar anymore.
They looked like strangers.
Completely.
Utterly.
Strangers.
I slowly looked from one face to another.
Not a single person felt familiar anymore.
A few months ago, I had convinced myself that Keifer’s plan had already stopped.
I thought everything was finally over.
I thought I could breathe again.
But no…
I was wrong.
So damn wrong.
How could I have been so stupid?
How could I have believed that someone could actually like me?
How could I have believed that maybe…
just maybe…
someone could genuinely care about me?
💔 A small, bitter laugh escaped my lips.
“Wow…” I whispered to myself.
I was literally laughing at my own stupidity.
At myself.
At the girl who had been foolish enough to believe in people.
🙂💔 But my laughter quickly disappeared.
Because the truth hurt far more than I wanted to admit.
My eyes burned.
My throat tightened.
And before I could stop them…
tears began falling down my cheeks.
😢 I quickly looked down, hoping no one would notice.
I couldn’t cry.
Not here.
Not in front of them.
Not in front of the people who had just admitted that they had been lying to me.
Maybe it was because I had already been carrying too much.
First…
the forced engagement.
Then…
finding out the truth about my real brother.
And now this.
This betrayal.
This humiliation.
Everything was happening at once.
It felt like my heart couldn’t take another blow.
I closed my eyes for a moment.
“Please, God…” “Please, Krishna…” 🙏🏻🦚💙 “Not right now.” “Please don’t let me break down in front of them.” I took a slow, shaky breath.
I tried to control myself.
But the tears wouldn’t stop.
One after another, they continued falling.
I quickly pulled out my handkerchief and wiped my cheeks.
Then…
I laughed again.
But this time, it wasn’t because I was happy.
Sometimes…
when you’ve been hurt beyond your limit, laughing becomes easier than crying.
I lifted my head.
And looked straight at Keifer.
Keifer crossed his arms, his expression cold.
Keifer: “Do you really think this is a joke, haan?
Do you seriously think I would fall for someone like you?
You have no fashion sense.
You’re nothing but a tomboy.” For a few seconds…
I simply stared at him.
No words.
No reaction.
Just silence.
Then…
A small smile slowly appeared on my face.
I laughed softly.
Jayjay: “Do you really think I don’t have options, Mr.
Watson?” 😂 I tilted my head slightly.
Keifer’s expression stiffened.
I shrugged casually.
Jayjay: “Never mind.
Let’s leave that.” I took a small step forward.
My smile remained on my face.
Jayjay: “You said I’m not fashionable, right?” I raised an eyebrow.
Jayjay: “Then what happened to your two fashionable ex-girlfriends?” Keifer’s expression immediately changed.
For the first time…
I saw uncertainty in his eyes.
I continued.
Jayjay: “Why did they leave you?” I took another small step toward him.
Jayjay: “Did they also think you weren’t fashionable?” I paused.
Then smiled.
Jayjay: “Or…” I leaned my head slightly to the side.
Jayjay: “Were they only with you because of your money?” 🙂 Silence.
Absolute silence.
Keifer froze.
Completely.
And so did everyone else.
The noisy classroom that had been filled with voices just moments ago suddenly became unbearably quiet.
No one moved.
No one spoke.
I could hear the faint hum of the ceiling fan.
I could hear someone’s nervous breathing.
I could even hear the ticking of the clock hanging above the classroom board.
Tick.
Tick.
Tick.
The silence felt heavier than any argument.
I looked around the classroom.
At every single one of them.
The same people I had once trusted.
The same people I had laughed with.
The same people I had believed actually cared about me.
My heart hurt.
God…
It hurt so badly.
But I refused to let them see it.
So I smiled.
A sweet smile.
A calm smile.
The same smile I wore every single day.
😊 The smile that hid everything.
The smile that told everyone I was okay…
even when I wasn’t.
I took a breath.
Jayjay: “You know what?” Everyone remained silent.
I looked at Keifer.
Jayjay: “I’m actually happy for them.” My smile became even sweeter.
Jayjay: “Because no one deserves a monster like you.” My eyes met his.
I didn’t look away.
Jayjay: “And well…” I paused.
Then gave him a small smile.
Jayjay: “Congratulations.” A beat of silence.
Jayjay: “You successfully completed your plan.” 😊 My voice was calm.
Far too calm.
But underneath the desk…
my hands were tightly clenched into fists.
My nails dug into my palms.
I needed something—anything—to stop myself from crying again.
No one moved.
No one spoke.
Then suddenly— CLICK.
The classroom door opened.
Everyone turned toward it.
Sir Alvin walked inside, carrying his books and a few papers in his hands.
He took only a few steps before stopping.
His eyes moved around the classroom.
He immediately noticed the strange atmosphere.
The silence.
The uncomfortable expressions.
The way everyone seemed frozen in place.
Sir Alvin: “What happened?” He looked from one student to another.
Sir Alvin: “Is everything alright?” I immediately wiped away the remaining tears from the corner of my eyes.
Then I turned toward him.
And smiled.
The fake smile returned instantly.
Jayjay: “Yes, sir.” I gestured casually toward everyone.
Jayjay: “We were just playing plan-plan.” 😂 Sir Alvin raised an eyebrow.
Sir Alvin: “Plan-plan?” 🤨 I smiled innocently.
Jayjay: “Funny, right?” 😂 He stared at me for a few seconds.
Probably trying to figure out what was going on.
But eventually, he simply shook his head.
Sir Alvin: “Never mind.
Let’s continue the class.” I nodded.
Jayjay: “Yes, sir.” I tried to act normal.
I really did.
But then— BZZZT…
BZZZT…
My phone vibrated in my hand.
I looked down.
And my heart suddenly stopped.
Incoming Call…
Kuya ❤️ My fingers froze around the phone.
Percy.
My brother.
I stared at his name on the screen.
The call continued ringing.
BZZZT…
BZZZT…
I knew I had to answer.
I knew Percy wouldn’t call me repeatedly without a reason.
But…
Not now.
I couldn’t.
Not when I was barely holding myself together.
If I heard his voice…
I knew I would break.
I swallowed hard and looked toward Sir Alvin.
Jayjay: “Sir…” My voice came out quieter than I expected.
Jayjay: “I have to leave right now.
There’s an emergency.” I showed him my phone screen.
He glanced at it and nodded.
Sir Alvin: “Okay.
Go.” I quickly grabbed my bag from beside my desk.
I didn’t look at anyone.
Not Keifer.
Not the others.
Not even once.
Because I knew that if I looked at them…
I might cry again.
I walked toward the classroom door.
My footsteps echoed softly against the tiled floor.
Step.
Step.
Step.
I could feel their eyes following me.
Every single one of them.
But I didn’t care anymore.
I reached the doorway.
My phone was still ringing.
Kuya ❤️ I stopped for half a second.
I stared at Percy’s name one last time.
My eyes filled with tears again.
“I’m sorry, Kuya…” I whispered so quietly that no one could hear me.
Then…
I pressed the power button.
The screen went completely black.
And just like that…
I walked away from Section E.
Without looking back.
Without saying goodbye.
Without knowing that the moment I stepped out of that classroom…
everything was about to change.
