Jayjay’s POV I slowly walked downstairs.

My face was still expressionless.

I wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone.

After everything that had happened yesterday…

I was still angry.

Very angry.

When I reached the living room, everyone was already there.

Angelo was sitting on one side of the room.

Aris was standing near the window.

Yuri and the others were sitting together, talking about something.

Keifer was sitting quietly on the sofa.

The moment I entered, a few people looked at me.

I ignored all of them.

I walked straight toward the empty sofa beside Keifer and sat down.

Keifer glanced at me.

I didn’t look at him.

He immediately understood.

I was still angry.

He wisely decided not to say anything.

Good choice.

Everyone continued talking.

I leaned back against the sofa and simply listened.

“So I’m telling you,” Aris said, “there’s no point in changing the security schedule every few hours.

If someone is watching us, they’ll notice the pattern anyway.” Angelo nodded.

“Exactly.

We should make the changes random.” Yuri frowned.

“But what about the cameras outside?” “We’ll check them again today,” Aris replied.

Someone else added, “And we should probably check the vehicles around the mansion too.” My eyes moved slightly toward them.

Interesting.

They were discussing security.

At least they weren’t completely careless.

Keifer crossed his arms.

“I still think whoever is behind this knows more than we’re expecting.” I finally looked at him.

He continued.

“They knew where Percy was yesterday.” The room became slightly quieter.

I looked away again.

Nobody knew the full truth.

Nobody knew what I knew.

Nobody knew about the Queen’s Protector.

Nobody knew that while they were discussing security…

six people had already started moving behind the scenes.

I stayed silent.

Then suddenly— A loud voice echoed from upstairs.

“BABY!” Everyone froze.

I slowly closed my eyes.

Oh no.

I knew that voice.

Then— “BABY!” Louder.

I sighed.

Please don’t.

Then came the final one.

“BABYYYYYYYYYYYY!” I opened my eyes.

Everyone stared toward the staircase.

Aris raised an eyebrow.

Angelo looked confused.

Yuri blinked.

Keifer’s expression changed into complete disbelief.

And I already knew…

something dramatic was coming.

A few seconds later— Percy came running downstairs.

Actually running.

His hair was messy.

His shirt was slightly untucked.

And he was holding his phone in his hand like it was evidence in a murder investigation.

“BABY!” He looked around desperately.

Then his eyes found me.

He immediately came toward me.

I stood up slightly.

“What happened, Perse?” Percy stopped in front of me.

His lips were pushed into a pout.

His eyes looked almost offended.

Then he extended his phone toward me dramatically.

“THEY ARE THREATENING ME AGAIN WITH MY LIFE!” I blinked.

He pointed at the phone.

“SAVE ME.” Silence.

Absolute silence.

I slowly looked around the room.

Everyone was staring at Percy.

The same Percy Mariano who could walk into a dangerous situation without blinking.

The same Percy who terrified people with one look.

The same Percy who had received actual death threats yesterday…

was now standing in front of me…

pouting.

Asking me to save him.

Like a child.

I had to bite the inside of my cheek to stop myself from laughing.

Keifer looked completely stunned.

Aris stared at Percy.

Angelo’s mouth actually opened slightly.

Someone whispered, “Is…

this really Percy?” Another person replied quietly, “I think so.” Percy ignored everyone.

He kept holding his phone toward me.

“Baby, look!” I finally took the phone from his hand.

“Who is threatening you now?” Percy pointed at the screen.

“There.” I looked down.

And immediately understood.

My eyes widened for half a second.

Then I recognized the group.

QUEEN’S PROTECTOR 👑 Of course.

I opened the messages.

And there it was.

The real reason Percy was acting like this.

Thyme: So, Percy…

Percy: What?

Ren: How was your special meeting with Baby Doll yesterday?

Percy: Fine.

Kevin: Just fine?

MJ: You got to meet her alone.

Percy: Yes.

There was a pause.

Then— Thyme: Unforgivable.

Ren: Absolutely unacceptable.

Kevin: We haven’t seen Baby Doll in months.

MJ: And you went alone.

Percy: I live with her.

Thyme: STOP USING THAT AS AN EXCUSE.

Kevin: We’re still angry.

Ren: Very angry.

MJ: Extremely angry.

Thyme: Consider this your punishment.

Percy: What punishment?

Kevin: Threats.

Percy: What?!

MJ: We are threatening your peace.

Ren: Your sleep.

Thyme: Your sanity.

Kevin: And possibly your snack supply.

Percy: YOU PEOPLE ARE INSANE.

Thyme: You stole our meeting.

Ren: You deserve this.

MJ: Baby Doll should have been ours to meet first.

Kevin: We want compensation.

Percy: What compensation?

Thyme: Three hugs.

Ren: Four.

Kevin: Five.

MJ: Six.

Percy: Why are the numbers increasing?!

Thyme: Because you’re annoying.

Ren: And because you got to see Baby Doll.

Kevin: Tell her we are coming.

Percy: She’s not meeting you yet.

MJ: Then suffer.

Percy: I’m telling Baby.

Thyme: Go ahead.

Ren: Tell Baby Doll.

Kevin: Let’s see whose side she takes.

MJ: Exactly.

I stared at the screen.

For three seconds…

I said nothing.

Then— I burst out laughing.

I couldn’t stop.

I covered my mouth with one hand.

Percy immediately looked offended.

“Baby!” I laughed harder.

“You…” I couldn’t even finish the sentence.

Percy crossed his arms.

“Don’t laugh!

They’re threatening my life!” I looked at him.

“Your life?” He nodded seriously.

“Yes!” I showed him the phone.

“Your life?” “Yes.” I looked back at the messages.

Then at him.

“They’re threatening your snack supply.” Percy immediately became defensive.

“That’s serious!” I laughed again.

Everyone in the room looked completely lost.

Keifer was staring at me.

Aris looked between Percy and me.

Angelo finally asked, “Who are they?” I stopped laughing.

My expression changed instantly.

I looked at the phone again.

Then at everyone.

Nobody could know.

Not about them.

Not about the group.

Not about me.

So I simply locked the phone and handed it back to Percy.

“No one.” Aris frowned.

“No one?” I nodded.

“Just some people.” Keifer looked at Percy.

“Some people threaten you with your life?” Percy opened his mouth.

I immediately looked at him.

One look.

He understood.

He closed his mouth.

“…Yes.” I almost laughed again.

Angelo narrowed his eyes.

“Jay, what’s going on?” I stood up.

“Nothing.” “But—” “I said nothing.” My voice was calm.

But cold.

Everyone became quiet.

I wasn’t ready to forgive anyone.

Not yet.

Not after everything.

Percy looked at me.

He knew exactly why.

He quietly moved closer.

“Baby…” I looked at him.

“Don’t.” He immediately stopped.

“Okay.” I walked back toward the sofa.

Keifer watched me carefully.

Nobody spoke.

I sat down again.

The room stayed silent for a moment.

Then Percy quietly sat on the arm of the sofa beside me.

I looked at him.

He smiled innocently.

I sighed.

“You’re impossible.” He whispered, “But I’m your impossible.” I rolled my eyes.

“Don’t push it.” He smiled.

“Yes, baby.” I looked away.

But a tiny smile escaped anyway.

Because apparently…

even the most dangerous people in my world had decided to behave like children.

And somehow…

I was the only one who knew why.

Queen’s Protector 👑💜 wasn’t threatening Percy.

They were just jealous.

Very, very jealous.

And Percy?

He had apparently decided to turn their jealousy…

into his personal morning drama.
