“Director Fu, let me propose a toast to you. Tonight’s success is all thanks to you.”
The speaker flatteringly raised his glass toward the man before him.
“That’s right, Director Fu. This election, we’re sure to outdo the police department.”
The man crossed his long legs, lounging casually on the sofa. He had rolled up the sleeves of his black shirt, revealing prominent blue veins.
Facing their sycophancy, his expression remained indifferent, showing no emotional change. His brow bones were sharp and defined, and his gaze toward them was dark and cold.
“Is that so? I’ll take your good wishes.” Fu Sili took a sip, his tone languid.
“Your subordinate has prepared a small gift for Director Fu.” The man in the suit smiled deeply, and immediately, a woman with a graceful figure opened the door and walked in.
He had specifically inquired about Fu Sili’s preferences, knowing he favored charming and sweet-looking women, so he had found one just for the occasion.
“Director Fu~” The woman’s voice was sickeningly sweet.
Fu Sili looked at her somewhat familiar features, his slender fingers tapping rhythmically on the armrest of the sofa.
“Shall I have a drink with you?” The woman picked up a glass, her eyes lingering on Fu Sili’s face. She took a suggestive sip, her soft, boneless hand caressing his chest, clearly intending to drink with him mouth-to-mouth.
Fu Sili glanced at her coldly, and as she leaned in, he reached out and gripped her chin, pushing her away in disgust.
“I’m going to the restroom.”
That face was nauseating to look at.
Fu Sili walked out, unbuttoning a few buttons, his expression somewhat gloomy.
The others in the room watched as the woman was pushed away, exchanging nervous glances. They wanted to smooth things over, but he had already walked out.
Seeing Fu Sili emerge, his assistant hesitated for a moment before stepping forward. “Director Fu… Miss has run out.”
“Is Yan Yan nearby?” Fu Sili clenched the cigarette between his teeth, taking the lighter from his assistant’s hand.
“Yes, he said Miss… is also here…” The assistant’s voice grew softer toward the end.
Half of Fu Sili’s face was hidden in the shadows as he twirled the lighter in his hand. “Where?”
“If you can’t handle it, just go home first. You can come to my studio the day after tomorrow.” Fu Wanzhi walked out of the restroom to find Zhou Yunhan waiting for her at the door.
It was as if she were keeping him…
“You… don’t remember me?” Zhou Yunhan looked at her slightly reddened eyes and brows, hesitating for a moment before asking.
Fu Wanzhi and Shang Yan had been pouring drinks for each other, and even though she wasn’t drunk yet, her reactions were already a bit slow.
“What did you say?” Fu Wanzhi leaned in closer, not catching his words clearly.
“Nothing. Let me take you back.” Zhou Yunhan took a measured step back, his eyes darkening slightly.
“No need.” Fu Wanzhi waved her hand and walked straight ahead. She had often partied late into the night while abroad, so this amount of alcohol was nothing to her.
“Watch out!”
Zhou Yunhan saw a drunk man stumbling directly toward Fu Wanzhi and quickly stepped forward, pulling her arm and shielding her behind him.
The drunk man, seeing Zhou Yunhan suddenly appear, grew even more excited. “So there’s a man. I wonder if you’d mind serving a few more?”
The words were so direct and crude that Zhou Yunhan’s entire demeanor turned cold.
“I don’t serve wild boars.” Fu Wanzhi shot him a glance.
“You…! Looking for trouble!” The man was provoked and raised his fist to strike.
Zhou Yunhan was ready to strike back, but in the next second, the person before him was inexplicably kicked to the ground.
