Zhou Yunhan followed her gaze. The approaching man held a cigarette between his teeth, white smoke drifting past his jawline, his posture exuding an air of noble restraint.

When Fu Wanzhi saw who it was, her expression changed instantly, the effects of the alcohol vanishing in a flash.

“How dare you hit me! Do you know who I am?!” The man howled in pain, cursing as he scrambled up from the floor.Full novel: She’s Not a Good Girl — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“And what if I don’t?” He lowered his gaze, removed the cigarette, and crushed it under his foot. His face was startlingly beautiful.

The man turned and, upon seeing that strikingly familiar face, was immediately taken aback. He quickly dropped his previous arrogant and domineering attitude, forcing an ingratiating smile. “Director Fu, I never expected to see you here.”

Director Fu? Fu Sili.

Zhou Yunhan glanced back at Fu Wanzhi. He knew this was her brother.

Fu Sili couldn’t be bothered to look at him. He gave a slight nod to his assistant beside him. The assistant stepped forward and, rather than escorting the man, practically dragged him away.

“Director Fu… Director Fu! I don’t know how I offended you!” His voice trembled with fear.

Fu Sili ignored him. Instead, he turned his head to look at the two standing by the wall, his gaze sweeping over Zhou Yunhan’s hand gripping Fu Wanzhi’s arm.

Fu Wanzhi met his eyes. Though he wore a smile, it was chillingly cold, like a predator icily staring down its prey, sending a shiver down one’s spine.

“Zhizhi, aren’t you going to introduce this gentleman?” Fu Sili’s tone was lazy and drawn-out.

Fu Wanzhi hadn’t expected to run into Fu Sili in a place like this. She knew she’d be caught and taken back eventually, but she hadn’t thought it would be now.

She removed Zhou Yunhan’s hand from her arm and was about to speak when an ill-timed voice rang out: “Zhizhi, what mischief were you and that male celebrity up to? You were gone for so long…”

Shang Yan’s voice boomed like a loudspeaker, utterly disregarding the people around them.

“……”

The atmosphere grew even more silent.

The corner of Fu Sili’s mouth slowly curved upward. “Male celebrity?”

Shang Yan really had a knack for showing up when he shouldn’t and being absent when he should. Fu Wanzhi said nothing.

Zhou Yunhan looked at him and gave a calm nod in greeting.

“Hey, Brother Sili, you’re here too! Want to join us?” It was only as Shang Yan approached that he noticed the figure standing in the shadows was Fu Sili. Unconcerned with the other’s mood, he blithely extended the invitation.

“What are you all playing at?” Fu Sili asked leisurely, though his eyes remained fixed on Fu Wanzhi.

“Drinking! But what were you two doing? You took forever in the restroom.” Shang Yan raised an eyebrow at Fu Wanzhi.

Fu Sili twirled the lighter in his hand and let out a low, ambiguous chuckle. “So, you ran away from home for this, is that it?”

“Director Fu must be very busy. We shouldn’t disturb him.” Fu Wanzhi didn’t take the bait. She lifted her foot to leave but was stopped as someone grabbed her wrist.

The coldness of his palm felt like a venomous snake coiling around her. Fu Wanzhi instinctively tried to pull away, but the tighter she struggled, the firmer his grip became.

“Have fun. I’ll take you home later.” Fu Sili’s voice was as cold and detached as ice on a snowy night.

Without giving Fu Wanzhi a chance to reply, he turned and walked away.

Wait for him… Fu Wanzhi rubbed her wrist.

Not a chance.

“Brother Sili left already? He’s not joining us?” Shang Yan looked at Fu Wanzhi, puzzled. “What did he just say to you?”

“Nothing. If you want to hang out with him, go find him yourself.” Fu Wanzhi shot him a glance.

Shang Yan shook his head, still possessing a bit of self-awareness. “Forget it then. If you’re not there, Brother Sili will be even less inclined to hang out with me.”

“Now you show some tact,” Fu Wanzhi scoffed, also preparing to leave, but someone stopped her again. She took a deep breath and patiently looked at the person blocking her way.

“What do you want to say?” Fu Wanzhi only thought about leaving quickly; she had no desire to be with Fu Sili.

Zhou Yunhan lowered his gaze. “What time the day after tomorrow?”

“We’ll see,” Fu Wanzhi replied, unsure what madness Fu Sili might be up to this time.

“You’re leaving too? We haven’t had enough to drink yet…” Shang Yan, sensing her intention, hurried after her.

Zhou Yunhan watched her retreating figure, glanced down at the necklace around his neck, and murmured hoarsely, “We’ll see again, is it?”
