Seeing such a scene, even if she were foolish, she would understand why Fu Sili had appeared at this moment.

Fu Wanzhi glanced at Zhen Lianyun. Cheng Qingyue’s skill level was still somewhat lacking.

“Is that so? Zhizhi, did you see it?” Fu Sili suddenly asked her.Full novel: She’s Not a Good Girl — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Why was this being directed at her? Fu Wanzhi maintained her previous composure and said gently, “I only saw Sister-in-law fall into the water. Everything else I heard from others.”

“They were the only two by the pool just now. If it wasn’t Cheng Qingyue who pushed her, then who else could it be?” Zhen Lianyun’s little follower continued to fan the flames.

“Brother Sili, I really didn’t push her! She fell in on purpose!” Cheng Qingyue pointed at Zhen Lianyun, her voice filled with resentment.

“It’s alright, Sili. I just accidentally fell in.” Zhen Lianyun took a step forward, weakly defending Cheng Qingyue.

With her saying this, it only made it seem more certain that Cheng Qingyue was behind it all.

Fu Wanzhi exchanged a glance with Shang Yan, and they shrugged in unison, sharing a knowing smile.

Fu Sili looked at Fu Wanzhi, the corners of his eyes slightly lifting. “What does Zhizhi think?”

“Why not take Sister-in-law to change her clothes first?” Fu Wanzhi smiled. What else could she say? She had already stated she didn’t see anything. Why keep asking her?

“Then let’s follow Zhizhi’s suggestion. Let’s go.” Fu Sili nodded leisurely.

Follow Zhizhi’s suggestion… Zhen Lianyun’s expression remained unchanged, but she secretly clenched her hands.

Seeing them enter the villa, someone snorted, “Sigh, they really look like a perfect match. It’s just a pity that some people are jealous.”

Cheng Qingyue couldn’t hold back any longer and pushed the person. “Did you see it? Stop making baseless accusations. She fell in on her own!”

“Cheng Qingyue, you pushed Lianyun, and now you want to push me too?” The girl stepped back a few paces, annoyed.

Shang Yan watched their dispute, somewhat confused. “So why did she push Zhen Lianyun?”

“Because she’s jealous that Lianyun is about to marry Fu Sili.”

“Me, jealous of her? What is there to be jealous about in a marriage of convenience? Let me say it again—if I, Cheng Qingyue, didn’t do it, I won’t admit to it.” Cheng Qingyue’s words now sounded surprisingly logical.

“Stop spreading rumors. You keep calling it a marriage of convenience—do you have any proof?”

“Do you have proof that I pushed her?”

This kind of scene, something that only appears in TV dramas, was actually happening right before her eyes.

Why not let them stir things up even more?

“Everyone, let’s stop arguing. There should be surveillance footage here, right? We can just check the footage.” Fu Wanzhi stepped forward, pretending to mediate.

“That’s right. If you don’t believe her and she doesn’t believe you, then check the surveillance footage. The footage doesn’t lie.” Shang Yan understood her meaning and chimed in.

“That makes sense. Let’s just check the surveillance footage.”

“Why check it? I already said I saw it with my own eyes, and so did they.” Zhen Lianyun’s friend, Xiao Ji, spoke with a sharp tone.

Fu Wanzhi pursed her lips. “I was just offering a fair suggestion…”

“Xiao Ji, why are you yelling at her?” Shang Yan frowned, looking at her with displeasure.

“Yeah, Fu Wanzhi didn’t say anything wrong. Why so aggressive?”

“Could there be something hidden? Not wanting to check the surveillance footage?”

Listening to the surrounding discussions, Fu Wanzhi gently rubbed the ring on her little finger.

Judging by the evening gown she was wearing, Zhen Lianyun placed great importance on Fu Sili, and the mask she wore on her face was equally heavy.

She didn’t mind using Cheng Qingyue to tear off her mask and see how Fu Sili would react.

“That’s right, if you dare not look at the surveillance footage, you must have something to hide. If you’re truly innocent, come with me to check.” Hearing Fu Wanzhi’s words, Cheng Qingyue instantly grew bolder.

Xiao Ji bit her lower lip.

“I know where to view the surveillance footage. Everyone, follow me.” Someone volunteered, raising their hand.

No one would refuse to watch a spectacle, especially when two women were fighting over a man. The crowd clamored as they headed toward the surveillance room.

“Come on, Zhizhi, let’s go watch the commotion too.” Shang Yan, also intrigued, pulled Fu Wanzhi toward the crowd.

Fu Wanzhi glanced inside the villa and waved her hand. “You go ahead. I’m tired and heading back first.”

“Then wait for me here. I’ll check the outcome and come back to leave with you. Wait for me, okay?” Shang Yan repeatedly urged.

“Alright, I’ll step outside for some fresh air first.” Fu Wanzhi agreed.

After all, the outcome was no different from what she had anticipated.

As the crowd moved inward, she walked alone toward the exit. She took out a lighter and leaned against the doorframe, about to retrieve a cigarette from her bag when someone approached.

“Second Young Lady, Mr. Fu requests your presence.”

Fu Wanzhi paused, looking toward the Maybach parked not far away. Her voice was devoid of emotion. “Mr. Fu? Which one?”

“Zhizhi, after all these years apart, have you forgotten even your uncle?”
