Yun Hui turned a street corner when a force pulled her into a dark alley.

Instantly! A faint, refreshing fragrance wafted past her nose.

The few bouquets of flowers in Yun Hui’s hands gently fell to the ground.Full novel: Shipping! My Roommate Isn’t Simple — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She looked up dazedly, meeting the eyes she had dreamed of day and night—those captivating pupils reflected only her.

Yin Han Sou slowly reached out to stroke Yun Hui’s soft hair, then gently pulled her closer: “Little Yun Hui, did you miss me?”

Yun Hui lingered for a moment before suddenly turning away.

She puffed up her cheeks and spoke angrily: “You… you’re a liar! A liar who deceives people’s feelings!”

A liar?

The shirt beneath Yin Han Sou’s white suit rustled slightly as she leaned against the wall of the art district: “Tell me, how exactly did Yin Han Sou deceive you?”

Seeing her, Yun Hui couldn’t help but act up, just like a child trying to get their parents’ attention.

“What have you been doing these past few days! You’ve just been fooling around.”

She particularly emphasized the words “fooling around,” highlighting the “good deeds” Yin Han Sou had been up to.

Yin Han Sou wasn’t angry; instead, she looked at her even more affectionately.

She extended her slender hand to gently wrap around Yun Hui’s waist, her cool breath brushing against Yun Hui’s cheek.

“Is that so?” With just two words, she made Yun Hui feel intoxicated, leaving her with no strength to resist.

Yin Han Sou pulled Yun Hui in front of her, the warm orange light shining directly on her face: “Look under my eyes, I’ve even developed dark circles. I rushed back overnight from another province without stopping, so how could you say I was fooling around?”

Yun Hui’s body softened. She struggled to reach out and gently touched the area under Yin Han Sou’s eyes—it wasn’t makeup.

“I… I never asked you… to rush back like this!”

Yin Han Sou leaned close to Yun Hui’s forehead, inhaling her scent: “Then I should have come back later and made your little heart suffer a bit more.”

“You did it on purpose!” Yun Hui widened her eyes.

Yin Han Sou released Yun Hui, took off her white suit, and draped it over Yun Hui’s shoulders.

Instantly, Yun Hui was enveloped in Yin Han Sou’s unique scent.

“I warned you long ago, dear Yun Hui.” She bent down, a slight smile curling at the corner of her lips. “Little Yun Hui even said to me very seriously back then—nothing was missing.”

The word “dear” was spoken so lightly, yet it stirred Yun Hui’s tender heart.

Her fair cheeks flushed bright red again. She wanted to retort, but the flood of words in her mind crumbled into incoherence as they reached her lips.

“I…”

Yin Han Sou stood under the light, the bright rays penetrating her neat shirt, clearly outlining her slender waist: “Hmm? Has my Yun Hui lost her words?”

Yun Hui instinctively swallowed, her eyes darting around nervously.

“You… stop tempting me! I’m bold and shameless!”

The baby’s breath flowers on the ground were nudged by Yun Hui’s heel. Yin Han Sou’s gaze lingered on the scattered flowers, and a mischievous plan formed in her mind.

She picked up the baby’s breath and raised an eyebrow at Yun Hui: “Yun Hui, have you found someone new after just a few days apart? It seems… I shouldn’t have come back.”

Yun Hui shook her head in panic, opening her chat history with Meng Yao: “No! That’s not it… I was just helping my roommate bring them!”

“Your roommate bought two types of flowers?”

You troublemaker! You’re forcing me to explain!

Yun Hui gritted her teeth. “Because! I wanted to give it to you! Who… who knew you’d be like a big rat, always sneaking around and lying in wait!”

Yin Han Sou picked up the baby’s breath and sniffed it.

There was no particular scent, just the earthy smell from the soil it was grown in.

“Why do you say I’m a liar?”

“Because… Yue Ming said you don’t look like a good person, like a bad woman who’d play with my feelings.”

Yun Hui lowered her head, admitting the truth.

For some reason, she always trusted this person in front of her completely—handing over everything without reservation.

Yin Han Sou frowned slightly. “That Yue Ming is your roommate?”

Yun Hui kept her head down. “Yeah… yeah.”

She swiped through her phone, trying to find the photo of the ring in her gallery.

Yin Han Sou, who had been watching Yun Hui’s phone, caught a glimpse of a photo that flashed by in a hurry.

“Wait, what was that just now?” Yin Han Sou reached out for the phone.

Yun Hui instinctively placed it in her hand. “Just a photo, why?”

Wait!

Wasn’t that the photo where she’d edited her sister to look like a pig?!

“No, no! Han Sou, give it back!” She panicked, jumping up to snatch the phone back.

With her height advantage, Yin Han Sou found the photo—a drawing where her nose had been turned into a pig’s snout.

Written above the photo were three large characters: Yin Cold Pig.

The funniest part was a curly pig tail dangling from the corner of her clothes.

As childish as a three-year-old.

She took a step forward, lifting Yun Hui’s chin. “Little one, it’s only been a few days, and you’re already causing trouble.”

Yun Hui’s face flushed red as she turned away in embarrassment. “It’s all because of you… because you kissed me and then disappeared!”

Yin Han Sou turned Yun Hui’s face back, their faces only centimeters apart. “You should rephrase that. I don’t want to hear those words.”

Yun Hui was forced to meet Yin Han Sou’s clear, deep eyes.

She really was like her name—a cold, waterless swamp! The moment you got close, you’d sink in, unable to climb out no matter how hard you tried.

“I… I missed you.”

Yin Han Sou released Yun Hui, satisfied. “Did you buy the baby’s breath for me?”

Yun Hui picked up the red rose she’d bought for Meng Yao from the ground. “I still have to deliver the flowers! I can’t stay and chat with you!”

She could play hard to get too! She was just waiting for her sister to kiss her!

Yin Han Sou raised an eyebrow. Trying to run away already?

“Tell her the flower shop is closed.” Yin Han Sou pulled Yun Hui closer, gently stroking her cheek with slender fingers. “Or should I tell her?”

Yun Hui lowered her head. “I… I’ll tell her!”

“Hey, Meng Yao? It’s Yun Hui… the flower shop is closed… Oh, okay, no problem, no problem! I’ll hang up now.”

She hung up hastily, which seemed very deliberate in Yin Han Sou’s eyes.

Yun Hui stood still, her breathing rapid and uneasy.

“Sister~”

Yin Han Sou rolled up her shirt sleeves and casually placed the baby’s breath on the steps behind her.

She plucked the rose from Yun Hui’s ear. The vibrant, dewy petals glowed under the light, much like the little one in front of her, with her soft, flushed face looking up at her.

Wanting a kiss?

Yin Han Sou reached out and gently pressed her finger against Yun Hui’s lips. “Just calling me ‘sister’?”

“Dear Sister Han Sou~”

Usually, she seemed a bit silly, but she had a natural talent for flirting.

The piano notes gradually rose, a series of gentle melodies echoing through the empty street, like a spring breeze brushing against the cheeks, warm and soothing.

Yin Han Sou softly called her name, her eyes tender as water.

“Yun Hui…”
