“Are you angry?” Yin Han Sou actually felt a bit nervous.

The usually decisive and efficient woman couldn’t believe that her emotions could be stirred by such an oblivious yet adorable creature in an instant.

Yun Hui’s complexion looked terrible: “A little, but not much.”Full novel: Shipping! My Roommate Isn’t Simple — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She had her period, and halfway through the meal, a sudden cramp in her abdomen killed her appetite.

Seeing the rosy flush on her face turn pale, Yin Han Sou’s suspicion was confirmed: “Let’s go. Didn’t you say you needed to pick up a package?”

Yun Hui looked up and met her eyes—those eyes completely captivated her…

Like quicksand, the longer she looked, the deeper she sank.

“Watch the road!”

A car sped past Yun Hui, the gust of wind blowing her bangs aside.

That was close… almost hit…

Yun Hui stared in disbelief at the speeding vehicle, her face covered in cold sweat.

Yin Han Sou frowned, observing the traffic.

“Yun Hui.”

“What is it, Senior?”

“Give me your hand.”

Yun Hui was full of confusion: “The bill isn’t in my hand; I hid it.”

A smile appeared on Yin Han Sou’s usually cold face, her eyes curving slightly: “Give me your hand. I won’t say it again.”

Yun Hui didn’t understand her meaning but obediently extended her hand.

When she looked at Yin Han Sou, her palm was enveloped by a warm grip.

“It’s safer to hold your hand. You really have no sense of safety at all. How did you grow up like this?”

Yin Han Sou walked while holding Yun Hui’s hand, like an older sister leading her silly younger sister.

Yun Hui puffed out her cheeks: “It’s all because… I was looking at you.”

Her voice was soft, just a murmur of complaint.

Little did she know, Yin Han Sou heard every word clearly.

Yun Hui used to be very resistant to others touching her, but with Yin Han Sou—her principles began to crumble.

“Can I… walk by myself?” Yun Hui asked cautiously.

Yin Han Sou glanced coldly at Yun Hui: “No.”

“Oh…” Yun Hui’s steps weren’t as long as Yin Han Sou’s, and keeping up was a bit of a struggle.

She was completely being led by the nose—albeit romantically so.

The gap between them seemed quite large.

“Don’t you think it’s a loss? Asking me to guide you, only to be scammed out of several hundred. That’s probably your living expenses for several days.” Yin Han Sou suddenly spoke up.

Yun Hui shook her head: “I don’t have many friends. If spending a few hundred means getting to know you, then it’s worth it.”

Yin Han Sou was pleased to hear this. Her focus wasn’t on the few hundred yuan but on the word “worth it.”

She thought getting to know her was worth it.

“Don’t be friends with me. I like… women.” Yin Han Sou stopped abruptly, and Yun Hui bumped into her back.

…

What! Senior also likes women?

“Aren’t you watching the traffic light?” Yin Han Sou frowned, looking back at Yun Hui.

Yun Hui lowered her head, hiding her face: “I thought if I followed you, I could let my mind wander—think about things in my heart.”

Let her mind wander about things related to Senior Yin.

Yin Han Sou pulled her hand, closing the distance between them: “You trust me too much. What if I abduct you and sell you in the mountains? See if you’d still dare to daydream.”

As she spoke, a spray bottle tumbled out of Yun Hui’s pocket.

She said softly, “I have pepper spray. If something bad happens, I’ll spray it hard and run as fast as I can.”

Yin Han Sou looked at Yun Hui with a smile: “So you have a secret weapon?”

She really was adorable, like an innocent little lamb.

Yin Han Sou admitted—she really liked this little one.

“If I did something bad, would you take action?” she asked.

Yun Hui replied, “I’d spray others first. If you did something bad too, I’d spray you. Make your eyes go blind, hurt so much you panic!”

See if you’d dare then!

“Hmm… I’ll spray less.”

Yin Han Sou gave Yun Hui an affectionate glance and didn’t say anything more.

So this little one wasn’t autistic—she had thought Yun Hui had autism, since she never dared to look people directly in the eyes.

So Yun Hui was just socially anxious.

She smiled slightly. That made her even easier to handle.

The street beside Haicheng University was lined with lush camphor trees. The two of them walked hand in hand under the warm October sun.

Whether it was because the sunlight was too bright or Yin Han Sou’s palm was too warm, after walking for a while, Yun Hui felt the chill in her body gradually dissipating.

She actually wanted to walk slower, because this was the first time someone had held her hand so openly while walking. The feeling was wonderful.

It was a sweetness you couldn’t taste. A fragrance you couldn’t smell. A tenderness you couldn’t see.

“We’re here.” Yin Han Sou let go of her hand and looked toward the south gate courier station.

The hand that had been held still retained a lingering warmth, slowly melting the frost in her heart.

“Got it.” Yun Hui glanced at Yin Han Sou and walked into the station.

This time, she quickly found her own package.

A small box containing six books.

All of them were ones she enjoyed reading.

After picking up the package, she eagerly walked out the door. As soon as she stepped outside, she saw Yin Han Sou on a phone call—her tone stern, her expression icy.

She was nothing like the senior Yin she had seen earlier.

Yun Hui obediently stood behind her, waiting for her to finish the call, just as she had waited for her earlier at the university.

“Enough. If you can’t handle it, I’ll find another contractor. You won’t get to finish this job.”

She hung up the phone, her face full of gloom.

Turning around, she saw Yun Hui looking down at the package information.

“You’re not leaving yet?” Yin Han Sou looked at Yun Hui waiting for her, and her mood suddenly improved.

Hearing this, Yun Hui looked up and asked, “Aren’t you going back to campus, Senior?”

Yin Han Sou smiled helplessly. “I have things to take care of outside. You’ll have to go back on your own.”

She really wanted to spend more time with her, but there was too much on her plate. Many calls had come in during their walk, all of which she had ignored.

If she didn’t handle them soon, big problems would arise.

Yun Hui felt a bit disappointed. “Okay, Senior, I’ll head back first.”

As usual, she walked with her head down, never once glancing at the world around her.

“Wait.” Yin Han Sou called out to her.

Yun Hui turned back. “What is it?”

Yin Han Sou walked up to Yun Hui, bent down, and met her eyes. “Don’t get lost in thought while waiting for the traffic light. Pay attention to whether there are any vehicles around when crossing the road.”

Yun Hui curved her lips into a smile. “I know. I’m not a three-year-old.”

Yin Han Sou nodded in satisfaction and was about to leave—but then turned back again. “If you don’t have classes this afternoon, go back and take a bath. Soak your feet in herbal water to drive away the cold. It’s best to pair it with some red ginger tea. It might be a bit strong, but it’s useful.”

Yun Hui was genuinely startled. “How did you know I was on my period?”

Was Senior Yin a mind reader? How did she know everything?

“Because… I’m your big sister~” Yin Han Sou said with a smug smile.

With that remark, Yun Hui finally understood why she had asked her to call her “sister” earlier.

Thinking of this, her face flushed bright red.

Many people had told Yun Hui that you could tell at a glance in a crowd that she was gay.

It seemed those words were true!

Yin Han Sou raised an eyebrow. “Yun Hui, I’m leaving now. You must be obedient, understand?”

Yun Hui patted her cheeks vigorously, trying to make them less flushed.

“Hurry along, Senior. I need to get back to the dorm too…”

The two parted ways.

…

Yin Han Sou turned a few corners, only dialing her driver’s number once Yun Hui was out of sight. “Bring the car to the south gate of Haicheng University, Jinshan Road. I’ll be waiting outside the café.”

Her commanding tone instantly reasserted her identity.

Soon, a dark Pagani surged onto the street.

“President Yin,” the driver stepped out from the driver’s seat and opened the car door for her.

“Xiao Chen, don’t drive this kind of car to the university anymore. Bring out the one from the garage that hasn’t been used in years.”

“The older, the better.”

Xiao Chen nodded. “Understood, President Yin.”

She instinctively glanced back, where warm sunlight spilled onto the lush green street.

Yun Hui.

By the third time we meet, you won’t be able to run away.

As the saying goes, things shouldn’t happen more than three times. Haicheng University is so vast—if we truly meet three times in such a short period, that would be a marvelous twist of fate.

Yin Han Sou got into the car, opened the sunglasses case, put on her sunglasses, closed the door, and stepped on the accelerator—all in one fluid motion.

Vroom!

The roar of the engine echoed through the street, leaving the driver standing bewildered in the wind.

…

Meanwhile, Yun Hui, who had been intently focused on her phone, jumped at the sudden roar.

“Who is that? They almost made me drop my phone,” Yun Hui complained as she caught her phone mid-air. “So inconsiderate!”

…

By the time she returned to the dorm, it was already past one in the afternoon, and she still had a class later that day.

She decided to draw something because she was in an exceptionally good mood today!

She pondered what to draw—clouds? Trees? Flowers? People?

People…

The first person that came to mind was Senior Yin… followed by the senior she saw yesterday who kicked the soccer ball back.

Wait…

She closed her eyes, visualizing the proportions of the two figures, and was startled to realize—Senior Yin was the same senior who kicked the soccer back on the field last night!

Yun Hui felt completely unsettled. So it was the same person all along…

Soon, she sketched out the lines, preparing to add emphasis to the edges.

Bai Yueming approached from behind, glancing curiously. “Who are you drawing?”

Startled while engrossed in her drawing, Yun Hui nearly knocked over her palette.

“I… I’m just doodling. Don’t look, you two.”

Meng Yao, seated at her desk, saw the lines Yun Hui had sketched and made an educated guess. “Yueming, I saw Yun Hui having lunch with an older sister today at noon. Maybe that sister commissioned her to draw a portrait?”

“Yes, yes! Meng Yao, you’re so clever,” Yun Hui chimed in eagerly, as if she had found a lifeline.

Meng Yao clapped her hands. “See, I really am exceptionally brilliant. I’m just too smart. I deserve a reward—a bag of chips.”

Bai Yueming, still leaning over to examine the sketch, looked at her meaningfully. “Is she your crush?”

Her voice was soft, yet it felt deafening.

Yun Hui wore an expression as if she had seen a ghost. She glanced at Meng Yao, who was watching TV, and whispered, “Stop asking! Or I’ll pick on you.”

Her tone carried a clear warning.

Bai Yueming wore a smug smile. “She looks pretty. When will you introduce me?”

Yun Hui was genuinely annoyed. “Say that again?”

Seeing Yun Hui’s lips tighten—a clear sign of a serious “warning”—Bai Yueming backed off.

She shrugged helplessly, “Alright, alright, I was just teasing you. This is our little secret.”

Had she touched Yun Hui’s sore spot? Why such a strong reaction?

Yun Hui snorted coldly, put away her drawing board, and wanted to lie back on the bed for a nap.

As soon as she closed her eyes, Yin Han Sou’s image flooded her mind.

She kept repeating that line: “Because… I’m your big sister~”

Through the memory, the faint fragrance that had clung to Yin Han Sou at the time seemed to flow from her mind down to her fingertips.

…Senior Yin?
