Yin Han Sou looked down and realized her clothes were soaked through from Yun Hui’s embrace. With a little more wind, she’d catch a cold too.

“I’m going to take a shower. Drink this properly and don’t wander around,” she said before turning and entering the master bedroom.

No matter how much capital she had at her disposal, she still feared falling ill.Full novel: Shipping! My Roommate Isn’t Simple — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

No matter how high her status, when she met Yun Hui, she wanted to become just an ordinary “senior.”

There are no absolutes or certainties in this world.

Affection cannot be hidden—the longer it accumulates, the more distorted it becomes.

There’s no reason for liking someone. You just like them—why force a reason?

The rain pattered softly. Yun Hui obediently finished the ginger tea and collapsed on the sofa, gazing at the heavy rain outside.

At first, she thought the rain was ill-timed, but now she thought differently.

Thank you, heavens~

While Han Sou was showering, Yun Hui carefully observed the layout of the house.

It was very clean—so clean it seemed as if no one had ever lived there.

Especially the kitchen. When she entered earlier, there wasn’t a trace of cooking fumes.

But… Senior Han Sou seemed so busy. She didn’t even have time to tidy her pajamas after waking up, and the desk was covered in contracts and documents.

Was Senior really studying broadcasting?

Curiosity drove her to enter the room. Just as she was about to lift her foot, Yin Han Sou suddenly spoke from the bathroom: “Don’t move around. Just soak your feet properly.”

Oh…

How did she notice me?

Yun Hui opened her eyes wide and scanned the room—there were no cameras either.

Fine, no moving then!

With just one sentence, Yin Han Sou had Yun Hui under control. She leaned back on the sofa, bored, and stared at the heavy rain outside.

Rain in the north falls straight down, like a straight line descending, precise and swift as bullets.

Rain in her southern hometown falls at an angle, scattered by the wind, its path unpredictable, like a spotlight on a stage, swaying chaotically.

Ring, ring, ring~

The phone rang, and Yun Hui answered.

“Yun Hui! Where are you?” It was Meng Yao.

Yun Hui: “I’m outside… eating out.”

“Which restaurant? Yue Ming and I are free now. Let’s go out for a meal—dormitory team-building! Go, go, go!”

“I… I’m almost done eating.” She glanced toward the master bedroom. The bathroom door opened, casting a rectangular beam of light onto the head of the bed.

She’s out!

“Yun Hui, are you at…” Bai Yueming’s voice came from the other end of the phone.

“No!”

“Are you two hiding something from me?” Meng Yao interjected.

Yun Hui panicked: “How could that be? I’m just eating out.”

“Yun Hui~” Bai Yueming called out meaningfully.

Cough, cough, cough…

Yun Hui choked on Bai Yueming’s tone and couldn’t even respond.

“What’s wrong?” Yin Han Sou emerged from the room, tying the belt of her bathrobe as she spoke unhurriedly.

“Whoa! Yun Hui, what’s that voice… so commanding! Was that you?”

…

Yun Hui blushed: “I’m watching TV!”

On the other end, Bai Yueming sat in her seat, imagining Yun Hui’s flustered expression.

It must be hilarious.

Seeing Yun Hui flustered, Yin Han Sou took the phone from her hand.

“What do you need Yun Hui for?”

Yun Hui froze on the spot, too scared to move.

Even Bai Yueming couldn’t handle hearing that voice herself.

It was like a seductive danger, slowly exuding an eerie aura.

“We’re Yun Hui’s roommates.”

“She’s at my place.”

Silence fell on the other end: “”

Bai Yueming wore a faint, knowing smile on the other end. “Hurry up and hang up. She’s drawing a portrait right now.”

Meng Yao finally caught on. “Oh, oh! Sorry about that, my bad!”

She hung up.

Yin Han Sou reached out and handed the phone back to Yun Hui. “Your roommate cares about you a lot.”

Yun Hui lowered her head. “Y-yeah.”

Of all times to call!

So caring indeed!

The air gradually grew warmer, and the rainy evening indoors carried a stifling restlessness.

Yin Han Sou fixed her gaze on Yun Hui. “It’s about time.”

Not that the foot soak was about time—it was that the little one was about ready, ready to be devoured~

“I… I’ll go pour out the water.”

Yun Hui slipped on her slippers, struggling to carry the bucket of hot water into the living room bathroom.

Behind her, Yin Han Sou watched Yun Hui with a dangerous glint in her eyes. This little one…

Having received my kindness, it’s time to offer something in return~

The living room window was opened a crack, letting in a gentle, rainy breeze. Her loose bathrobe fluttered in the wind, revealing her slender yet powerful figure.

As Yun Hui stepped out of the bathroom, she was met with that very silhouette.

Yin Han Sou turned her face slightly, her hair drifting softly in the breeze.

“Come here.” Yin Han Sou’s gaze pierced through the living room, locking onto Yun Hui.

The words seemed ordinary, but they stirred a storm in Yun Hui’s heart.

Nervously, Yun Hui walked over.

As soon as she approached Han Sou, a force pressed her down onto the sofa. Han Sou leaned over her, her collarbone peeking from the side of her bathrobe collar.

She lifted her crimson lips, tilting Yun Hui’s chin upward, her eyes filled with fully ripened desire.

Her low, husky voice was particularly captivating. “There’s a saying: ‘Nothing ventured, nothing gained.’ Have you heard it?”

Yun Hui repeated it silently in her mind, sensing there was more to her words.

“I, Yin Han Sou, don’t help others for no reason. You have to pay for this service.”

Yin Han Sou pinned Yun Hui’s hands down, her hair floating lazily in the air, gently brushing against Yun Hui’s face.

“Sis… sister… how about I treat you to another meal?” Yun Hui avoided her gaze, wanting to lower her head but finding no room for any extra movement.

Yin Han Sou’s eyes turned completely into a murky swamp, her dark pupils slowly devouring Yun Hui’s body.

She released one hand, gently stroking the corner of Yun Hui’s lips. “Do you like me?”

Bang!

The question exploded in Yun Hui’s heart!

The rainy wind blew more urgently, drawing closer, so close that even their breaths could drift onto Yun Hui’s face.

Her face now resembled a peach, no longer a bright red but a shy, delicate pink.

“I… I…”

Yun Hui was too nervous to speak. She was afraid!

Afraid that Yin Han Sou would use this against her, teasing her just like Bai Yueming did!

She liked her! She liked her so much! And she was even more afraid of being teased by the one she liked!

Yin Han Sou loosened her grip, slowly pulling away from Yun Hui. “No answer means you don’t like me.”

No… that’s not it…

“I like you! I do!” Yun Hui blurted out, the surging emotions in her heart rushing out along with the words.

As soon as the words left her lips, a sweet kiss descended.

Yin Han Sou wrapped her arms tightly around Yun Hui, pressing her entire body against her.

Han Sou was captivated by Yun Hui’s gentle, soft aura.

She wanted to lose herself in it forever.

The softness of their lips made Yun Hui instinctively close her eyes, doing her best to match Yin Han Sou’s kiss.

The evening light gently fell upon the two of them, as the sweet night breeze enveloped their intertwined figures.

She released her lips, her eyes burning as they stared directly at Yun Hui. “I like you too—a love at first sight, an obsession that disregards everything, an intoxication without hesitation.”

Yin Han Sou enjoyed coercing and tempting this little one. Even though she knew what the other meant, she just wanted to make her say it out loud.

She wanted to gradually conquer Yun Hui.

Yun Hui, her face flushed, looked at Yin Han Sou, her eyes gleaming with a captivating, lingering gaze.

The usually gentle and soft Yun Hui suddenly turned domineering.

Not enough yet…

She wrapped her arms around Yin Han Sou’s neck, pulling her close to her own face.

Come here!

Taking advantage of Yin Han Sou’s moment of hesitation, she tilted her face and forcefully kissed her again.

A warmth intertwined with a cool breath, mingling in the rainy night.

Their first kiss remained in this rainy night, witnessed by the heavy rain outside the window.

Large raindrops gently tapped against the window, as if infusing a touch of tenderness into this lonely lily. Through the half-open door, a pair of warm eyes gazed at this beautiful lily, as if quietly blooming a beautiful flower somewhere deep in their hearts.

…

They didn’t know how long they lingered.

“Yun Hui.”

“Sister…”

Yin Han Sou straightened up, her gaze lingering on Yun Hui’s slightly swollen lips. “I’ll let you off for today.”

Yun Hui’s face, neck, and shoulders were all covered in red marks without exception.

She wanted to say something, but after thinking for a while, she couldn’t utter a single word.

Yin Han Sou adjusted her slightly disheveled bathrobe and turned around. “Have you eaten?”

“How could I… have eaten… The only thing I’ve eaten…”

Seems like it was Sister Han Sou?

Yin Han Sou took Yun Hui’s hand. “Shall we eat out? My cooking skills still need improvement.”

Yun Hui smiled, her upper canine teeth peeking out obediently. “I can cook.”

Back in her hometown, she always ate separately from her family—they ate theirs, and she ate hers.

She always cooked for herself, so she believed her cooking skills were excellent.

After all, no one else had ever tasted her food.

“There aren’t many ingredients in the fridge. Want to take a look?” Yin Han Sou opened the refrigerator. These were ingredients she had asked someone to bring earlier. She wasn’t entirely sure what they were, as she only occasionally cooked for herself. Usually, she ate out and hurried back to the company.

Yun Hui carefully examined the ingredients in the fridge. “Leave it to me!”

Yin Han Sou raised an eyebrow. “I’ll go sign some documents first. Yun Hui, if you need help, just call me.”

“Okay.”

Her voice was still as soft as ever, something Yin Han Sou never tired of hearing.

Yun Hui didn’t know how to cook anything too complicated. She was most skilled at everyday home-style dishes. Since she only cooked for herself, the portions were always small.

The clock struck eight.

“Sister, dinner is ready.” Yun Hui carefully brought over a steaming bowl of soup.

Yin Han Sou had already taken her seat. She looked at the dishes with appetite and was about to take a bite when Yun Hui stopped her.

She said that before the last dish was served, no other dishes could be touched.

Because it would disrespect the chef!

The dishes were indeed simple: scrambled eggs with tomatoes, stir-fried pork with green peppers, pickled pepper frog legs, stir-fried dried tofu sticks, and a bowl of corn and pork soup that looked quite appealing.

“I didn’t have time to stew ribs, so I wrapped the pork slices in sweet potato starch and cooked them in the soup. This soup helps ward off the cold, and it’s delicious!”

Yin Han Sou looked at the table full of delicious dishes with satisfaction. “Little Yun Hui, you’re quite good at stir-frying.”

Yun Hui brought over a bowl and filled it with soup for Yin Han Sou. She scooped a spoonful, gently blew on it, and then brought it to her lips.

Those lovely lips closed around the spoon, and she drank the soup.

It was light and soothing, with a lingering fragrance.

“You’re quite gentle and capable,” Yin Han Sou said, smiling at Yun Hui.

“Don’t… don’t praise me… or I won’t do as well next time…”
