“Then I’ll get straight to the point of why I invited Miss Rong here today.”

“It’s not just about discussing the shooting schedule. I’d like to invite you to be the global spokesperson for the entire lipstick series under Dais.”

Upon hearing this, Su Ying remained composed, showing no sign of surprise.Full novel: Shocking! The Alluring Beauty Aggressively Pursues President Gu — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

When Su Ying received the email from Aron, she had already guessed it wouldn’t be just about shooting an advertisement. Typically, official brands only arrange related shoots after securing a spokesperson.

Rong Yi, however, was quite surprised. Her surprise wasn’t about becoming Dais’s spokesperson but about Aron offering her the role of global spokesperson.

After all, something like this should have sparked fierce competition among many people.

There was no way it would land on a model like her.

Her delicate brows furrowed slightly, and then, as if realizing something, her fox-like eyes glanced toward the “big shot” beside her.

Could it be that this endorsement was secured because of this gentleman?

It could only be said that Rong Yi guessed only half right. In truth, Aron had carefully selected her. Not only did Rong Yi have no scandals in her private life, but her professional skills were also top-notch, and her looks were beyond question.

Although Rong Yi was a model, she was a renowned supermodel in the industry, and her international influence was not to be underestimated.

Over the years, she had walked in no fewer than a hundred runway shows in France alone.

“I’m honored,” Rong Yi said with a smile, her eyes sparkling with charm.

Hearing her response, Aron laughed heartily. “Dais is also honored to collaborate with Miss Rong.”

“I think Miss Rong’s image aligns perfectly with Dais. Don’t you agree, Gu?” Aron asked, turning to Gu Ye.

Gu Ye curled his lips. “Mm.”

“Since Miss Rong has agreed to endorse Dais, let’s sign the contract today. I’ve brought it with me.”

Aron’s assistant promptly took two copies of the contract from his briefcase, placing one in front of Aron and the other beside Rong Yi.

Seeing this, Rong Yi didn’t rush to sign the contract. Instead, she glanced at Su Ying.

Only after receiving a slight nod from her did Rong Yi prepare to sign.

This wasn’t just about Rong Yi personally; it also concerned her company and her agent.

Aron took out the fountain pen he always carried with him and quickly signed his name.

Rong Yi and Su Ying had left in a hurry and hadn’t brought a pen.

Su Ying pursed her lips, feeling this was a failure on her part as an agent.

Rong Yi had no choice but to turn her gaze to Gu Ye beside her, tilting her head slightly to meet his eyes.

Rong Yi was taken aback. She hadn’t expected Gu Ye to be staring at her all along.

Composed, she brushed a lock of curly hair behind her ear, revealing a delicate earring, and said softly, “President Gu, could I borrow a pen?”

Gu Ye raised an eyebrow, his tone casual yet meaningful. “Miss Rong, you came out for a meeting without even bringing a pen?”

Rong Yi pouted playfully. “I forgot to bring one in my rush~”

Hearing this, Aron said, “Miss Rong, if you don’t have a pen, I have one here.”

“No need, Aron.” Gu Ye wasn’t usually one to carry a fountain pen either, but today, by coincidence, he had one clipped to the pocket of his suit jacket.

“I have one here.”

The cuffs of his black shirt were slightly rolled up, making his fingers appear even more fair, slender, and well-defined.

He pinched the end of the fountain pen with his fingertips and handed it to Rong Yi beside him.

After taking it, Rong Yi immediately signed the contract.

Two copies of the contract, one for each party to keep.

The heavy stone in Aron’s heart was finally resolved, and he said cheerfully, “The shoot can take place anytime. I’ll be in Kyoto for the next month, so it depends on whether Miss Rong Yi has time within this month.”

On the way here, Su Ying had already discussed the upcoming arrangements with Rong Yi. Due to Rong Yi’s foot injury earlier, Su Ying had postponed some less important work for her.

Aside from attending a fashion show abroad at the end of next month, she had no other work scheduled.

“That’s fine, I have no issues within this month.”

“Then let’s set the shoot for the Monday after next, at the G&Y magazine office.”

Aron added, “This series of lipsticks follows a twin flower concept, so there will be another girl shooting with Miss Rong Yi.”

Rong Yi replied, “Okay.”

“Additionally, the photos from the shoot will be featured in Yuan Ye magazine, with Miss Rong Yi and the other girl as the cover models.”

Rong Yi’s lingering question was finally answered. No wonder Gu Ye was here—it turned out he also had a collaboration with Daisy.

She hadn’t expected to land such a big deal this time—not only signing an endorsement but also securing a magazine cover.

Upon hearing this, Su Ying felt a surge of joy, pleasantly surprised by the unexpected bonus.

With everything he needed to say addressed and the contract signed, Aron had other commitments that evening and took his leave first.

As soon as Aron left, Rong Yi dropped her signature smile and turned her head to glance sideways at Gu Ye.

Gu Ye couldn’t help but chuckle, “What’s this? Burning bridges after crossing the river? I lent you a pen earlier, and now you’re looking at me like this as soon as he’s gone?”

Rong Yi pouted with a hint of grievance, complaining, “You’re one to talk! Didn’t you say you had something to take care of at the magazine office?”

“Something came up last minute.”

Rong Yi didn’t believe him and pressed further, “How did President Aron know we know each other?”

“My endorsement… it should’ve been earned on my own merit, right?”

She was starting to doubt herself.

Gu Ye’s brow twitched slightly, and the corners of his thin lips lifted with a teasing undertone as he whispered, “Don’t worry, it was definitely your own merit.”

Rong Yi let out a soft sigh of relief and raised a hand to her chest.

Thank goodness—it wasn’t through connections. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to accept it herself.

Watching from the side, Su Ying wasn’t sure whether to stay or leave. She felt like a third wheel.

Remembering something, Rong Yi looked up again and said, “You still haven’t answered my first question~”

Gu Ye played with a strand of Rong Yi’s curly hair beside him, lowering his gaze as he replied, “Before Aron approached you for the endorsement, he showed me your photo.”

Rong Yi nodded in understanding. That made sense.

Glancing down at the black fountain pen on the table, Rong Yi reached out, picked it up, and leaned slightly forward in front of Gu Ye.

She reattached the pen to its original position.

The sweet scent of roses wafted toward him. Gu Ye didn’t pull away, instead lowering his gaze to fixate on the woman’s long, curled lashes. The faint upward curve at the corner of his mouth never faded.

His gaze inadvertently drifted to the woman’s half-open trench coat, where the black low V-neckline seemed to silently present the soft, fair curves of her chest before his eyes.

Gu Ye’s dark eyes paused, his gaze deepening slightly as a restless stir surged within him.

“All done.”

Su Ying clenched her hand into a fist and brought it to her lips, letting out a light “ahem.”

A reminder that there was still someone else present!

Perhaps Su Ying’s reminder worked, as Rong Yi’s ears flushed slightly, and she straightened her posture a bit.

Seeing the woman somewhat embarrassed, Gu Ye found it rather refreshing, a faint smile curling at the corner of his lips.

Rong Yi cleared her throat, pretending to be serious as she said, “To thank Mr. Gu for the fountain pen, I’d like to treat you to dinner tonight. I wonder if Mr. Gu would be willing to accept?”
