“Knock, knock, knock.” An elegant, slender hand had been knocking on the door of a room in the Embassy.

Several minutes had already passed without an answer, and the person was growing increasingly impatient.

Should I open it?

With a courageous sigh, the hand reached for the doorknob and finally opened the door.

The loud sound of shouting reached her lupine ears, and the warm light from the room illuminated the young woman.

In her field of vision, two boys were fighting in an epic battle.

The target?

A damn light-green blazer and its dozens of adornments.

And, of course, the two young men were Kair and Rovan.

“You’re suffocating me!” “If you would just stay quiet, this wouldn’t happen!

Stop giving your opinion and leave it to someone who actually knows what they’re doing!” “YOU LITERALLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU’RE DOING, ROVAN!” “Quiet!” The battle seemed so heated that neither of them had even noticed the young woman standing right in front of the door.

“Excuse me…

Um…

I don’t think that blazer is the one worn by the Galefang lineage…

The colors seem kind of wrong.” The two young wolves finally stopped.

They looked at the young woman.

Then at the blazer.

Then at the young woman.

Then at the blazer.

And finally, Kair exploded.

“I KNEW IT!

You don’t understand anything about these balls and these ridiculous clothes!

I’m not going to the ball!

You said yourself it wasn’t mandatory!” Throwing the pieces of clothing toward Rovan’s face, Kair walked toward the bed and sat down, rubbing his temple with one hand.

Damn it, these things are more complicated than escaping an Elite!

Only after Kair’s outburst did the two realize there was a spectator at the entrance to the room, and a faint blush rose on Kair’s face…

And, strangely enough, on the young woman’s as well.

Noticing the awkwardness between the two, Rovan, in an act of heroism, introduced the young woman.

“Ahhh, Kair.

This is Naia Tidefang, daughter of Ambassador Lucian Tidefang.

Naia, this is the handsome, powerful, and great warrior Kair Galefang.” The blush deepened on both young wolves’ faces when they realized what Rovan was doing, and, at terrifying speed, a pillow flew straight toward the Ironfang’s head.

In a great act of courage, Rovan did not dodge and collapsed as if he had been knocked out.

Then, he prepared to get back up and probably deliver another line that would promptly deepen the embarrassment between the two.

Naia did not allow it.

“Sir Rovan.

The Ironfangs were looking for you for the ball preparations.

I came to find you because I was asked to locate you.

Please go meet them.

They are in your father’s office.” A faint shiver ran through Rovan’s fur, and, with a defeated gesture, he began to leave.

But he stopped at the door, beside the young Tidefang.

“Hey, you social disaster.

I didn’t want to ask before, but seeing as you don’t even know how to put on a blazer, I think I’d better explain something.” Kair’s eyes rose to focus on Rovan, pushing away some of his embarrassment.

Seeing the young hillbilly finally become serious, Rovan continued.

“When the King of Fucking Everything!

The most powerful living Wolf!

Tells you to come, if you want, to his office…

It kinda means he’s asking you to come TALK TO HIM!” Rovan’s tone was so serious that Kair could only nod.

Even though he remembered that King Garran’s words had not been exactly those.

With a snort, the young Ironfang left, deliberately closing the door and leaving the two young people alone in the room.

The next few seconds felt like minutes of awkwardness, making young Naia increasingly restless, until Kair’s mind finally stopped wandering around the idea of having to speak with the king.

And his eyes met Naia’s ocean-blue ones.

Redness spread across Kair’s face.

Shit…

That damn Weaver messed with something inside me!

It has to be that!

Kair’s nervous mind thoroughly examined the ambassador’s daughter.

Short blonde hair, with touches of ocean blue that floated like streaks through her sea of blonde.

She had tied her hair into a short ponytail that exposed her neck.

Her dress was long and accentuated her figure, but it was neither vulgar nor too mature for her age.

It was blue, matching her eyes and hair, and embroidered with several wolves with gills and scales.

They seemed to be fighting against the waves of the sea and hunting fish.

Seeing Kair’s assessing gaze, Naia only grew redder.

Oh, my father…

What is he thinking?

Did he see me unconscious that time?

I have to get out of this somehow.

I’m going to die of embarrassment!

Damn Ironfang!

I’ll get you for this!

When the atmosphere became almost heavy enough to suffocate them, Naia spoke.

“Um…

His Majesty should be available now!

The Lords’ meeting ended a few minutes ago, and Dad went to have a drink with him.

They always do that when they’re idle.

Come on!

I can take you to them!” With a jump and speaking so quickly that her words were almost swallowed, Naia crossed the room, grabbed Kair’s hands, and began dragging him toward the king.

“Hey!

Slow down!

Naia!

Slow down!!

I’M NOT WEARING A SHIRT!!” Only when they were almost outside the room did Naia realize what Kair had said, and her face turned red.

“Go get dressed!” She shouted at Kair, and the young wolf ran to change clothes without even questioning the young woman’s orders.

A few minutes later, the two young wolves were walking through the corridors of the Embassy.

Even after several minutes, the redness was still faintly visible on both of their faces.

The silence only made the atmosphere worse, and not even the Embassy’s enviable architecture could stop the two young wolves from dwelling on what had happened a few minutes earlier.

After walking for quite some time and climbing more stairs than either of them would have liked, they reached a massive door more than six meters tall.

It was made of ancient oak and covered in runic writings so vast that neither young wolf even bothered trying to read them.

Right in the center of the door, two wolves were trying to swallow an eclipse.

With a sigh and a few nervous steps forward, Naia was about to knock on the door when a voice stopped her first.

“Little Naia.

Come in and bring the young Kair with you.” That was not the King’s voice.

Kair knew it was familiar.

Very friendly and diplomatic.

Before they had even entered, the Ambassador had already noticed them.

Fuck!

Her father is another terrifying powerhouse.

Please, don’t invade my mind like that damn Spider!
