He picked up the picture with a smirk on his lip.
“So what should we do about her?”
Maximilian asked.
Alistair was about to answer Maximilian, but his phone disrupted him.
He checked the caller’s ID and it was Kane.
Kane said something on the other end that made Alistair’s face go black.
He stood up immediately, the chair making a scraping sound against the floor.
Maximilian wanted to ask what the problem was but before he could the door opened and slammed shut.
Alistair was gone.
In a private room beneath a casino knelt a man whose hands were tied behind him.
He was sweating profusely and had been kneeling for about half an hour.
Around him stood about eight to ten hefty bodyguards.
The door flew open as Alistair walked in.
His eyes immediately went to the man who was now shivering under Alistair’s gaze.
A faint smug smile appeared on Alistair’s lip.
“Scared now?”
He took two slow steps towards the man.
“It’s too late, isn’t it?”
One of the bodyguards brought a chair for him.
He sat down and crossed his legs.
“How about we play a game?”
The man slowly raised his head to look at Alistair.
The dim red light in the room made it impossible to tell what Alistair was thinking.
“I’ll ask you questions.
If you answer right I’ll just punish you and guarantee that your wife and four kids are safe.
What do you think?”
The man nodded in agreement.
“Good.
So the first question, where are the goods?”
The man answered.
“I don’t know.”
Immediately those words came out of his mouth the next second he flew to the wall, his back hitting it so hard that the sound of a bone crack was heard.
Alistair had planted the sole of his foot against the man’s chest. The source of this chapter is g.com.
No one had expected it, not even Kane who was standing by the door.
Alistair walked towards the man and squatted so that he could be at the same level with him.
“I’m very impatient.
Don’t test me.”
The man coughed out a mouth full of blood.
He remembered how he was greatly warned by his brother not to reveal a word to Alistair.
He smiled, his teeth stained with blood, and under the dim red light he looked like a vampire in a fantasy movie.
“I know you won’t kill me, because you know you can’t…”
“SMACKKK!”
A loud slap rang across the room.
Alistair had imprinted his five fingers on the man’s right cheek.
“Shut up.”
He said it calmly.
“You’re right about something though.”
Alistair stood up and walked back to where the chair was.
One of his body guards handed him a small towel that he used to clean the blood stain on his hand that had appeared when he slapped the man, he then sat on the chair.
This time a small stool was kept at the side with a remote on it and a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
Alistair poured himself the golden amber liquid.
“I can’t kill you, because that would be too easy.
But I have other ways to make you wish for death.”
As he said this a massive wall mounted display lit up.
The face of a small girl showed on the screen, her blonde hair packed up in a messy bun.
She was playing with a boy that looked exactly like her.
They looked about two or three years of age.
The man saw his twin children.
His eyes flickered but then he relaxed before anyone could notice.
“What now?
You’re going to kill little innocent kids?”
Alistair laughed murderously.
“Ha!
A red headed woman appeared on the screen.
She was talking to a man.
“He’s waiting for my command.”
That made the man break into a cold sweat.
No matter how he tried to calm himself it all went in vain.
The lady smiled brightly on the screen, her red curly hair pouring down her shoulder.
“I’ll give you ten seconds to make your decision.”
The screen changed.
A middle aged woman appeared on it.
She was seated on a rocking chair while knitting.
At her side sat a young woman who was talking with her.
The man did not see anyone threatening around them because he knew the woman by his mother’s side was Angelina.
She takes care of his mother.
However when he heard Alistair say,
“I’m sure you know her as your mother’s nanny, Angelina, right?”
A wide grin took shape on Alistair’s face.
“She’s also waiting for my command.”
His breathing turned shallow and uneven.
How was that possible?
Angelina had lived with his mother for about three years.
It dawned on him that she must have been sent long ago because Alistair had suspected him.
Slowly his eyes went to Alistair’s face.
They had underestimated him.
He had planted people long ago and pretended to be oblivious.
“Like I said, you have ten seconds to make your decision.”
A timer appeared at the right hand corner of the screen while the images of the two persons were still visible as they talked.
Ten, nine, eight….
The man watched the time counting down.
When it got to one a sound was heard.
“Bang!”
