When I knocked on the door with my tiny, maple-leaf-like hands, Masha’s eyes went wide.

“No way…

My lady, do you need to use the bathroom?”Full novel: Surviving as the Devil’s Child — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Dah!”

I nodded vigorously to show she was right.

Tears welled up in Masha’s eyes.

Wait, why are you crying just because I want to use the bathroom?

“How can our little baby be so incredibly smart?”

Masha scooped me up into her arms.

“But my lady, you don’t have to grow up so fast.

I actually love changing your diapers.

Please, leave it to me for now.”

But I don’t want to!

I just want to get out of diapers!

Masha carried me back and plopped me down in the middle of a pile of toys.

Having failed my bathroom mission, I sat there in a heap, staring at my chubby legs before grabbing a nearby doll and flinging it.

One, then another.

I kept tossing the dolls to vent my frustration, when suddenly, the hallway outside grew noisy…

Slam!

The door burst open, and a man and a woman walked in.

A slender, pretty-faced man with bright red hair and brown eyes, and a mature-looking woman with a bob of orange hair and piercing blue eyes.

Recognizing both of their faces, I froze in sheer terror, still clutching a doll.

“I heard our lord had a kid!”

The man shouted, his gruff voice contrasting sharply with his delicate appearance.

“Is this it?”

The man who strode over and looked down at me was Barbatcha.

Despite his pretty face, he possessed a savage personality and had fought me in my past life wielding dual axes.

The memory of Barbatcha’s twin axes slicing through my legs made me shudder.

“You’re scaring her, Baba.”

The orange-haired woman said, placing a hand on Barbatcha’s shoulder.

Her name was Mikaila.

When it came to cruelty, she was second to none.

‘From now on, I’m going to gouge out your eyes one by one and feed them to the crows.

Watch as those birds feast on your pretty little eyeballs.

Oh, wait, you won’t be able to see it without eyes, will you?

Ahahaha!’

I remembered Mikaila cackling as she gouged my eyes out.

“Whoa, she really looks exactly like our lord.”

Baba reached his hand out toward me.

He was clearly trying to pull me up by my arm.

He probably had no concept of how fragile a baby’s bones and limbs were.

‘He’s going to dislocate my arm!’

Living in this mansion, I had expected that my body would suffer great pain eventually.

But I still hated being hurt, so I squeezed my eyes shut and cowered.

I felt Baba’s fingers touch my arm.
