Lost in thought as he stared at his finger, Warren froze at the sound of the voice ahead.
His heart dropped.
“My lord.”
Warren bowed his head.
“I asked you a question.
Answer me.”
“I was checking on Elienor.”
Knowing he could never deceive his lord, Warren answered honestly.
“Do you favor her?”
“She resembles you greatly, my lord.”
“What proof is there that this isn’t one of Kareha’s schemes?”
At the mention of Kareha, Warren’s brow furrowed.
Kareha was one of the demons who would stop at nothing, no matter how underhanded, to assassinate Lucas and seize the throne of the Demon King.
Captivated by Ellie’s resemblance to Lucas, Warren had momentarily forgotten about Kareha’s existence.
“I will keep a close eye on her, my lord.”
He realized how foolish he had been to think that Lucas might have accepted Ellie, even just a little, simply because he had given her a name.
Lucas had only named her and kept her close to uncover the reason behind her red eyes.
After all, knowing a target’s name made it much easier to cast a curse on them later.
And a curse cast by the very person who bestowed the name was even more powerful.
If Kareha had indeed sent Ellie, Lucas could end her life with a single whispered curse.

What I learned through my regression…
…was that no matter how much power or experience I accumulated from my past lives, my physical and mental development remained bound to the age I regressed to.
Thus, as a baby not even a year old, I grew exhausted just from thinking a little too much.
I wanted to spend this tedious time, when I could do nothing else, planning for the future, but a brief moment of deep thought quickly left me hungry or sleepy.
A baby’s body is so inconvenient.
But there was something else that caused me the ultimate humiliation.
The fact that I couldn’t move my body as I pleased, meaning I had to wear diapers!
Me, the Knight of Light, the Mage of God, the Sage of Krafia, and the Punisher of Darkness, wearing diapers!
Having to entrust my backside to someone else!
Every time I soiled my diaper because I couldn’t go to the bathroom myself, I would burst into tears out of sheer misery.
“Wahhh!”
Then Masha would rush over, inspect me from head to toe, and say…
“Oh, my sweet baby even pees so beautifully!”
Her words only made me feel more pathetic.
So, the moment I learned to crawl, the very first thing I did was patter my way toward the bathroom.
Pat, pat.
