11 – The Big Shot Said, You All Come At Me Together

Lin Yaojia obediently lay back on the shampoo chair.

Huo Songjin hooked a high stool over with his foot, turned on the water, and warm water soaked her hair, which was as dark as black silk.Full novel: Su’s Broken Leg! The Yandere Villain Boss Kissed Her Again — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He wore a black T-shirt, slightly hunched over, the fabric bunching up to outline a slender waist, giving off a strong youthful vibe.

For some reason, Lin Yaojia held her breath.

Even from this unflattering angle, Huo Songjin’s face held up perfectly.

His jawline was sharp and straight. Silver hair was usually a disastrous color, but his skin was so fair and his features so delicate that the silver made him look as if he had stepped out of a manga.

“Handsome, your new hair color looks really good.”

Huo Songjin paused.

The girl stared at him with wide, round eyes—eyes that were incredibly clear.

So much so that, for a moment, he couldn’t tell whether there was admiration in them or not.

“It’s not a new hair color.”

Huo Songjin gently massaged her scalp with his fingers, but his expression and voice remained cold.

Lin Yaojia felt so comfortable from the scratching that she closed her eyes slightly. “If it’s not a new hair color, then was your previous black hair temporary?”

“Mhm.”

His voice was lazy and tired.

Dark circles were visible under his eyes.

Clearly, he hadn’t been sleeping enough.

“Did you stay up late last night?” Lin Yaojia quickly asked with concern.

“…Mhm.” Huo Songjin lowered his eyelashes, responding a few beats later.

He couldn’t figure out why this girl suddenly seemed so concerned.

“What were you doing?”

“Studying,” he said casually.

Cheng Yan, who had come downstairs to grab something, happened to hear this and his expression instantly turned interesting.

Lin Yaojia, however, didn’t notice anything odd.

Because in the original story, Huo Songjin did indeed get into a top university.

She praised, “Then you must be really good at studying.”

Huo Songjin turned on the water to give her hair a final rinse.

He accepted Lin Yaojia’s praise without a hint of guilt.

In reality, he often hovered near the bottom of the grade rankings.

Single-handedly dragging down the class average, he was a frequent visitor to the teachers’ office.

At this point, Huo Songjin was a walking academic disaster.

After blow-drying her hair, Huo Songjin slid his chair over, picked up the scissors, and asked, “Where do you want it cut?”

Lin Yaojia gestured. “Here.”

Just a few centimeters past her shoulders.

“Okay.”

Huo Songjin acknowledged, picked up the scissors and comb, and began carefully cutting her hair.

This barbershop was left by Cheng Yan’s father, who had passed away in a car accident when Cheng Yan was thirteen.

Fortunately, Cheng Yan had been taught well by him, and Huo Songjin, who spent every day with Cheng Yan, had picked up most of the skills.

Twenty minutes later.

Lin Yaojia stood in front of the mirror, satisfied with what she saw.

The original owner’s hair had been too long before. She had a pure and innocent look, and shoulder-length hair could be tied into a bun or left down, which suited her better.

“Cheng Yan!!”

“Get out here, you punk!!”

A voice shattered the silence in the barbershop as a group of people dressed like troublemakers barged in.

They clearly meant trouble.

The leader was the best-looking among them, with a head of eye-catching red hair.

Unfortunately, his fashion sense was terrible—a leather jacket paired with leather pants.

He didn’t seem to mind the heat.

Lin Yaojia clicked her tongue.

Huo Songjin sat on the high stool, holding the cola he had set aside earlier, took a sip, and his Adam’s apple bobbed.

He didn’t seem to take these people seriously, lazily asking, “What do you want with him?”

Lin Yaojia said to 998, “See that? Look at the boss’s aura, he doesn’t take these shamate seriously at all.”

998 finally agreed with her.

“You’re right.”

The red-haired guy held a stick and sneered, “He had the nerve to hit on my woman. Don’t you think he deserves to die?”

Huo Songjin scoffed and raised his voice, “Cheng Yan, come downstairs.”

“Coming!”

Cheng Yan had no idea what was happening and came downstairs holding a large bone.

As soon as he poked his head out, he saw these uninvited guests.

His expression turned fierce as he walked up to the red-haired guy with the bone. “What are you doing here?”

“What am I doing?” the red-haired guy repeated slowly. “Yingying told me you’re taking her to the movies tomorrow?”

“Yeah,” Cheng Yan met his gaze without backing down.

The two glared at each other, and the tension began to spread.

Lin Yaojia shifted her gaze and glanced at Huo Songjin.

The young man sat steadily on the high stool, leisurely sipping his cola.

As if these people hadn’t affected him at all.

Lin Yaojia twitched her lips.

She gave this show-off act full marks.

“Yingying is single now, and so am I. Isn’t it natural for me to pursue her?”

Cheng Yan said with a half-smile.

He wore a sleeveless tank top, his muscular arms clearly visible, with a buzz cut.

He exuded a strong masculine aura.

The red-haired guy glared coldly, gritting his teeth. “She’s mine. I suggest you stay away from her.”

Cheng Yan raised an eyebrow. “From what I know, Yingying rejected you.”

“You’re looking for death.”

The red-haired guy spat out each word slowly from the depths of his throat. As soon as he finished speaking, he threw a punch.

Cheng Yan reacted quickly, blocking the punch and landing a blow to the red-haired guy’s abdomen.

The red-haired guy grimaced in pain, grunted, and broke free from his grip.

The two instantly began to brawl.

Seeing this, the lackeys behind the red-haired guy rushed forward.

“Damn, they’re shameless, ganging up on one person,” Lin Yaojia whispered as she watched from the sidelines.

“Isn’t Boss Huo here too?”

As soon as 998 finished speaking, Huo Songjin moved.

He tossed a soda can, accurately hitting one of the shamate on the head.

He grabbed the wrist of another shamate who was trying to sneak-attack Cheng Yan, his fingers tightening, making the shamate cry out in pain.

Then he kicked another shamate away.

The young man stood tall and moved with clean, decisive actions.

He extended his index finger and beckoned to the other shamate. “Come at me together.”

This was a blatant provocation.

Naturally, the others couldn’t swallow their pride.

So, Boss Huo took them down one by one, leaving them all sprawled on the ground.

“Incredible,” Lin Yaojia brushed her hair aside. “Looks like the boss has been in plenty of fights.”

She was enjoying the show leisurely, completely unaware that trouble was about to come her way the next second.

Seeing his men lying on the ground, the red-haired guy grew furious, grabbed a nearby longboard, and swung it hard at Cheng Yan.

Cheng Yan’s eyes sharpened as he swung the stick he had snatched from the red-haired guy with force.

With a loud crash, Lin Yaojia’s newly bought skateboard split in two.

The world fell into dead silence.

998 froze, not daring to look at Lin Yaojia’s expression.

It jumped off her shoulder and silently crawled onto the nearby table.

Lin Yaojia’s mind went blank.

The red-haired guy seemed to think the skateboard was useless and casually tossed it aside.

Lin Yaojia slowly lowered her head, looking at the skateboard she had spent three thousand dollars on, its novelty not yet worn off.

“You. Are. Dead.”

Her voice was low, the sweetness in it gone, replaced by a deep, suppressed intensity.

As soon as the words left her mouth, she lunged forward.

Before anyone could react, she had already grabbed the red-haired boy by the neck.
