The group quickly arrived at the lounge bar. Yan Sui stepped out of the car, feeling a sense of novelty.

The understated yet luxurious entrance, unlike the flashy doors of typical bars, exuded an air of refined elegance from every corner.

To be honest, what others said wasn’t wrong—she truly was a country girl who had never seen much of the world.Full novel: Sweet Little Darling Beckons, The Gloomy Boss Loses Control — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Unfortunately, during the ride, she had leaned out of the car window several times to feel the surroundings, yet she still hadn’t sensed that familiar gaze from before.

Had the stalker given up?

She had always been curious about who it was.

Now, that intense gaze had vanished without warning, leaving her with a sense of unfulfilled curiosity and regret.

The wealthy young masters were regulars here, and the group made their way effortlessly toward the private room.

A boy named Chen Xuan leaned in closest and asked her, “What would you like to drink? How about I have the best bartender here make you a custom Mojito?”

Yan Sui politely shook her head. “I don’t drink.”

Her response only made the boys even more excited.

“Wow, you’re an adult and you’ve never had alcohol?”

“That’s really rare. I didn’t think there were still such innocent girls around.”

“Then you definitely have to try it, right, Suisui?”

“Chen Xuan, don’t you have a girlfriend? Calling her ‘Suisui’ already, huh?”

Surrounded by the crowd, the young girl made her way through the hall.

Yan Sui was encircled by everyone, unable to get a clear view of her surroundings.

Suddenly, in a fleeting moment, she felt that familiar sensation of being watched again.

Fierce and intense, just like before, yet somehow different.

It was gone in an instant, almost like an illusion.

She paused, standing on her tiptoes to glance around.

The hall was filled with people, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

The next second, she stepped into the private room.

Just as the door closed, a shattering sound echoed from the floor-to-ceiling glass in the corner of the hall.

The man who had been sitting there abruptly stood up, smashing the glass in front of him.

The world seemed to spin. Leaning against the wall, he gasped for breath, his chest heaving violently as he tore off the top two buttons of his shirt.

His Adam’s apple bobbed, veins spreading across his pale neck like demons threatening to burst through his skin.

How could this be?

Why was she here?

The last time…

Had he hidden well enough?

Who were those people?

How dare they get so close to her.

Kill them.

No, that would scare her.

What if she discovers I’m watching her?

She’d definitely be disgusted…

I want to see her.

But do you deserve to?

Countless voices surged in his mind at that moment, ringing in his ears.

His thoughts were chaotic, his vision blurred.

Physically, his senses were dulled by the effects of the medication, his mind foggy.

Emotionally, however, he couldn’t suppress the overwhelming, sickly desire that flooded him.

He had already made up his mind to control himself, to stop engaging in such disgusting behavior that defiled her.

Why did he lose control again the moment he saw her?

Gritting his teeth, he endured the stomach cramps brought on by the surging emotions and gestured to someone outside.

“Give me the live feed from Private Room 6.”

Inside the private room, there were a few more people, both men and women.

“So you’re that Yan Sui,” a girl with long, curly hair spoke up, looking at her with a faint, mocking smile.

The boys, oblivious to the subtle hostility, pulled Yan Sui to sit down and introduced her:

“This is Gu Xin, Lin Ran’s best friend.”

Gu Xin gave her a thorough once-over before turning to Chen Xuan.

“Hey, did you order a drink for our new little sister here?”

Yan Sui quickly waved her hands. “I don’t drink.”

Gu Xin laughed, “Yan Sui, how can you not know how to drink? Since you’re Lin Qi’s daughter, you’ll have to socialize with drinks sooner or later.”

“Besides, everyone here is drinking now, and you’re the only one not drinking. Are you trying to make us lose face?”

She spoke with a smile, looking cheerful and straightforward.

The people around also started to egg her on: “Yeah, have a drink.”

Chen Xuan leaned over, getting extremely close to Yan Sui: “Let’s do it this way, I’ll order you a Mojito right now…”

Gu Xin suddenly stood up and enthusiastically patted Chen Xuan’s shoulder.

“You only know how to order that, no creativity at all. I’ll go order my favorite Long Island Iced Tea for my little sister. It’s on me.”

With that, she walked straight out.

She returned quickly, holding a drink that looked like iced tea, and placed it in front of Yan Sui.

“I made this myself. Don’t worry, it tastes absolutely great.”

Long Island Iced Tea, also known as the “disappearance drink,” doesn’t taste strongly of alcohol, but it actually has a very high alcohol content.

Gu Xin had even added extra vodka. Half a glass at most could knock someone out.

“I really don’t drink…” Yan Sui frowned in distress.

At this moment, everyone suddenly became united. The boys who had been trying to please her in the car earlier were now shouting louder than anyone else.

“Come on, it’s fine, Suisui. We’ll take you home later anyway!”

“This is a drink our Sister Gu made herself. If you really can’t, how about I feed it to you?”

“Everyone’s having fun today. Don’t spoil the mood!”

“Lin Qi, come here, take this to your sister yourself.”

Lin Qi, slightly tipsy, brought the glass to Yan Sui and said with a smile:

“Sis, for the sake of me arguing with my mom for you today, give me some face.”

Pairs of eyes stared at Yan Sui, as if she would become a sinner if she didn’t finish this drink.

Yan Sui took the glass, pursed her lips, lowered her head, and took a sip.

The fiery alcohol burned from the tip of her tongue down to her esophagus. It was sweet, not exactly unpleasant, but too strong.

The young girl stuck out her tongue. “Sorry, I really can’t get used to it.”

Gu Xin’s face suddenly darkened: “No need for that, Yan Sui. I’ve never seen someone as delicate as you. Don’t act like a little white flower, making excuses and refusing, okay?”

“I’m straightforward, and I can’t stand this. I even reduced the alcohol in this drink specially, and you’re still reacting like this, making it seem like I’m trying to harm you.”

She magnanimously picked up her own glass and clinked it against Yan Sui’s:

“How about this? Let’s finish our drinks together, and I’ll pretend this never happened.”

With that, she tilted her head back and drank the wine in her glass.

“That’s our Sister Xin for you, so bold!”

“Yan Sui, it’s your turn. Our Sister Xin just toasted you!”

“Bottoms up! Bottoms up!”

The crowd egged her on.

Chen Xuan, drunk and excited, couldn’t resist Yan Sui’s distressed expression and was about to reach out to force the drink down her throat—

“BANG!!!”

A loud noise exploded as the private room door was violently kicked open!

Everyone screamed in fright!

A figure in black rushed in, grabbed a bottle from the table, and smashed it hard against Chen Xuan’s head!

“Ahhhhhhhhhhh!”
