Noon
Nova’s head was resting against Cassian’s chest, her eyes closed as she looked like she was sleeping peacefully.
Cassian was busy admiring Nova’s flawless beauty, his hand running through her hair as a warm smile appeared on his lips.
"Darling," he called gently.
"Mhm," Nova replied, her voice barely audible.
"Lucian... can you not marry him?" Cassian asked, his voice low but filled with jealousy.
Nova chuckled and raised her head, resting her chin on his bare chest. "Jealous?" she teased.
Cassian stared longer at Nova. "I just don’t want him to be part of our family," he replied, his face filled with a serious expression.
Nova’s smile widened, and placing her head back on his chest, she closed her eyes and replied, "Don’t worry, I’m not interested in him."
A satisfied smile spread across Cassian’s face. "That’s great," he murmured, chuckling happily. "Right, Raymond will be here soon. I’ve sent him the address already," he informed her.
Nova nodded against his chest.
"When you are free, darling, we will move to our new house—just for us alone," Cassian stated in excitement.
Nova smiled. "I was still wondering if I would forever live in a house full of spy cameras," she said.
Cassian’s brows raised in surprise. "You saw the cameras?" he asked.
Nova was silent for a while. "The spy in your house only suspects there’s a camera in the house; she didn’t know where it was, so I’m the only one who noticed. You don’t have to worry," she said.
Cassian laughed. "I’m not worried, I’m just surprised that my beautiful darling is such a genius. I married a gem, I’m very proud," he replied truthfully.
Nova chuckled. "Is there any black auction house in this city?" she asked.
"Yes," Cassian replied. "It will open tomorrow night. Are you interested?" he asked.
Nova slowly opened her eyes, staring blankly into the distance. "I just feel like going. I don’t know, but something might catch my attention there, just want to go" she replied.
Cassian nodded. "I will accompany you then," he offered.
"Okay," Nova replied and raised herself from the bed, heading to the bathroom.
"Raymond mentioned meeting his family. I will get dressed first before he arrives," Nova informed him just as she reached the bathroom entrance.
Cassian pouted immediately, his expression looking silly and cute, like a spoiled child. "His family can just come over to pay you a visit instead. There’s no need to go meet them," he tried to change her mind.
Nova turned around and stared at Cassian before a low laugh escaped her lips. "You really look like a child now, my Mafia king," she said.
Cassian smiled. "Honestly, the attention you give Raymond is more than mine. I had you first... it’s not fair," he said, staring at Nova.
Nova was amazed. "It’s a surprise that you have this side as well, but..." She moved closer to him and gave him a quick kiss on his lips. "I’m not playing favorites. I love you both equally," she added, smiling warmly.
With Nova so close, Cassian found himself falling in love with her all over again, his heart beating faster, and he nodded his head with a smile on his lips.
Nova chuckled, catching his love for her so clearly visible in his eyes. She placed another kiss on his lips and went into the bathroom to take another bath.
Realizing Nova had closed the bathroom door, Cassian finally let out the breath he had been holding. He placed a hand on his chest, feeling his heart beating faster.
"I’m really in love with her, again!" he murmured, grinning from ear to ear.
Shortly after, Nova came out of the bathroom dressed. Her gaze fell on Cassian, who was staring at her with a lovestruck look, and she lightly shook her head.
She stood before the dressing mirror and removed her glasses, and to her surprise, she could see without them.
"Oh... that’s quite a surprise," she thought, staring at her glowing skin. She folded the glasses frame together, placed it on the table, and turned around, staring at Cassian.
"Stop looking at me and go to the bathroom to freshen up," she said, moving closer to him.
Cassian pulled her closer to himself, hugging her waist, his chin resting on her flat tummy as his gaze locked with hers.
"I can’t just look away, darling. You are just too pretty, I can’t get tired of looking at you all day," he replied, grinning happily.
Nova stared at him for a moment, then pulled him by his ear, making him release his grip around her waist as his expression twisted into one of pain, yet he wasn’t the least bit annoyed.
"Go to the bathroom," Nova repeated.
"Yes, ma’am," Cassian replied, laughing even though he was still feeling the pain in his ear.
Nova finally let go of his ear, which was now as red as a tomato. She noticed his red ear and gently blew on it to ease the pain.
"Sorry," she apologized, feeling guilty.
Cassian immediately realized the reason why she was apologizing and instantly used it to his advantage. "A common apology can’t erase the pain; it hurts so much," he said.
Nova raised one of her brows, seeing right through his intentions. "I bet you aren’t feeling any pain anymore," she said.
"I’m really feeling pain. It hurts so much, but if you kiss me, it won’t hurt anymore," Cassian replied, giving a low smile.
Nova smiled beautifully and pressed her lips against Cassian’s for two quick kisses, but Cassian immediately held her by the back of her neck, deepening the kiss.
The kiss continued until they both became breathless and finally pulled away.
"Does it still hurt?" Nova asked.
"Mhm." Cassian nodded and was about to go in for another round of kisses, but a knock on the door interrupted them, followed by a maid’s voice.
"Young master! A young man outside is asking for the young madam."
"Guess he’s here," Nova murmured and stared at Cassian, who seemed to be annoyed by the interruption. "Take a bath already. I’ll go and meet him," she said and left.
Cassian watched the bedroom door close and punched the pillow in frustration. "You really know what time to arrive, Raymond," he gritted his teeth in annoyance, rubbing his forehead. He stared down at his little brother, which was already hard and throbbing, he could only sigh helplessly.

Nova descended the stairs and approached Raymond, who was waiting for her in the living room. As soon as Raymond saw her, he immediately scanned her body.
"He didn’t bully you, right?" he asked, sounding like he was ready to go against Cassian the moment Nova admitted to being bullied.
