Dora clenched her fists tightly and forced a smile onto her face. "I mean no harm, Mrs. Nova. I’m just reminding you," she said, before staring at Mrs. Vitale.
"I’ll take my leave now, Mrs. Vitale," she added, standing up. She cast another glance at Nova, who was looking right back at her with a wide smile on her lips.
She gave a slight nod and left.
Mrs. Vitale sighed, and her gaze fell on Lucian, who was just sitting there on the couch without a care in the world.
"You should visit the Hulka family tomorrow, Lucian. Maybe you—" Before Mrs. Vitale could finish her statement, Lucian’s cold voice interrupted.
"She just made it clear that she’s only interested in Cassian," Lucian said, staring at Nova. "You want me to get married, isn’t that it? How about I marry Nova?" he offered.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Vitale were stunned, they stared at Lucian as they are looking at a ghost.
Cassian became angry immediately, his hand around Nova’s waist tightening subconsciously.
"Are you trying to mess with me, Lucian?" his tone was cold and filled with anger.
Lucian’s gaze shifted to Cassian, a smirk hanging at the corner of his lips. "Do I look like I’m messing with you?" he replied.
Cassian intended to reach for his gun, only to realize it was no longer with him. His brows knitted tightly.

"Are you crazy, Lucian? She’s your brother’s wife!" Mrs. Vitale shouted angrily. "You’d better wake up from your wishful thinking. It’s impossible for you to marry her, I will never agree to that!" she added, her heart beating faster in anger.
Lucian chuckled and stood up, looking tall and mighty. "I’ll need your blessings for our marriage. Of course, I won’t be the other man... won’t you bless us if she becomes a widow?" His smile widened as he stared into Mrs. Vitale’s eyes.
Mrs and Mr Vitale faces drained of blood, they couldn’t believe their ears for long.
Cassian was about to get violent, but Nova gave him a reassuring tap, calming him down.
"Brother-in-law... Cassian is my husband. Threatening his life right to my face, aren’t you going too far? You might pose no threat to me, but if you harbor any hateful intentions toward my husband, things won’t end well for you either," Nova said calmly, her expression turning into a cold, deadly gaze.
Lucian was silent for a while before his smile return. "Fine... I won’t target him... pursuing you legally is fine, right?" He laughed and blew her a flying kiss before walking out, not waiting for her reply.
"Crazy... he’s totally crazy," Mr. Vitale murmured, feeling so angry that his heart started aching. "Before he goes completely crazy, I must hold him tight," he murmured, clutching his chest to suppress the terrible aching in his heart.
He stood up, cast one last glance at the angry Cassian, and left.
Mrs. Vitale lightly shook her head. "You know Lucian has always been provocative since he was young. He didn’t mean what he said, he’s just trying to provoke you. Don’t hold it against him," she said, staring at Cassian.
"I don’t joke about my wife," Cassian stated simply.
Mrs. Vitale sighed heavily and stood up, exiting the room as well.
The moment the double doors closed and they were finally alone, Cassian scooped Nova up into his arms and walked straight toward the master bedroom. He slammed the door shut, locked it, and pinned her against the wall. Resting one hand firmly beside her head, his free hand pulled down her collar, exposing the vibrant mark resting on her neck.
"Did you have sex with him?" he questioned. His voice was filled with a mixture of pain and anger, his gaze piercing as he stared at Nova.
Nova stared a little longer at him and smiled. "His name is Raymond, and he is my husband too. So, yes," she replied.
"Nova!" Cassian shouted in anger. He grabbed her chin with two fingers, forcing her to look straight into his eyes. For a long time, he wasn’t sure how to speak.
"Do you believe I can end his life right in front of you, and force you to watch his soul fade away?" he said, his voice turning colder.
Nova slapped his hand away and stared fixedly at him. "Are you threatening me?" Her gaze turned fierce immediately, shocking Cassian.

Nova smiled and was about to speak, but Cassian sealed her lips with his. He lifted her up and placed her on the bed, effortlessly shoving her jacket away with one hand and tearing her dress until she was completely naked under him.
"You are so perfect, darling," Cassian whispered, taking one of her breasts into his mouth while his free hand massaged the other.
