After putting his things in the inventory, Nathan then walked outside his room. The moment he walked outside, he could see the motel owner watching his every move.

He looked thoughtfully at him, then chose to ignore him. After taking a taxi, Nathan then arrived at the nearest gun store. It looked like it was from the 90s, but he didn't judge and made his way inside.Full novel: Teen Wolf: The Soul Collector — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

As soon as he entered, a room full of firearms came into sight. He couldn't help but be surprised at how the store looked oddly similar to the GTA 5 gun store.

The moment he stepped in, the owner was analyzing his body language and his temperament.

Compared to the previous homeless look, Nathan looked like a fine young man. A pair of jeans and a black T-shirt with a leather jacket on top.

His hair fell lazily on his forehead, and he had a calm look in his eyes, as if he was wiser than he looked.

"What can I do for you, young man?" The owner looked like a tough middle-aged man, but his attitude was welcoming.

Nathan looked at him, then at the weapons behind him. "I want to buy a gun."

The owner gave him a weird look, as it was obvious, then took a closer look at his face. "You know that you have to be 21 years old, right?"

Nathan's face stiffened. He had no idea. He just thought he would come and get a gun without any problems.

The basic knowledge of firearms that he received didn't have this specific information. Now Nathan didn't know what to do.

The owner realized from his face that he had no idea. He didn't laugh at him, but kindly continued. "Even if you were 21, there is a 10-day waiting period, and it's not easy to get one even then."

Nathan remained silent for a few seconds. His dream of being Rambo died before it could even start. He was just 17 years old; he couldn't buy even a normal pistol.

He then looked at a tactical knife, then at a bulletproof vest. He hoped that he could at least buy those.

Nathan then pointed towards both of them and looked at the owner. "Can I buy those items?"

The owner looked where he pointed, then back at him and smiled. "There's no problem! Let me tell you in detail what's better!"

Then Nathan had to listen to ten minutes of the owner's rambling. He didn't say anything and listened carefully.

Since the owner was describing other weapons too, he absorbed all the information he heard.

After all the talk, Nathan finally chose the bulletproof armor with the ballistic plates. Even though it cost $1,500, it was worth it.

On top of that, he bought a better tactical knife, a complete first aid kit, and tactical clothing for his body. The clothes were worth it because they were more resistant and better for scenarios like last night.

While the owner was smiling happily as he told him the total, Nathan felt like he was poor again.

$2,500 of his money disappeared. Now he had less than half the money he acquired. He then took all of his gear and put it in the backpack, and made his way out.

Just as he was about to step outside, the owner's voice reached his ears.

"Hey, kid! Take care!"

Nathan smiled and, without looking back, waved his hand.

Just as Nathan was walking towards the motel, he suddenly stopped. He saw a police car in the parking lot, and he could also see the motel owner talking to two cops.

Nathan took a step back unconsciously. Just as he thought everything was going to be alright, he saw the motel owner pointing at him and the cops rushing outside.

In that split second, Nathan didn't panic and took a deep breath. Instead of running away, he ran towards the police car.

Before the officers could arrive, Nathan plunged his knife into the tires, then quickly ran away.

Luckily for him, the parking lot was some distance away from the front of the motel, and he had time to do this dangerous thing.

While running, he could see the officers still following behind. He gritted his teeth as his stomach ached in pain, and kept going.

Thankfully, he put the stuff he bought in the inventory. Although the bulletproof vest was uncomfortable, he still put it on, and now he rejoiced at his choice.

While running, Nathan only chose the narrower alleys and ignored the busy roads. After running for about ten minutes, he saw an abandoned construction site.

Just as he thought he had ditched the cops, he suddenly heard a pair of footsteps running towards him.

When he tried changing direction, suddenly a cop appeared in front of him. Nathan suddenly felt his phone vibrating, but he couldn't afford to be distracted.
