Not far from the building, there was the power station leading towards it.
While crouching close to the ground, Nathan approached it quietly. Once he was close enough, he looked around and saw no one in sight.
He grabbed a bottle of gasoline and poured some on a piece of cloth. He then wiped carefully on the top and the outside of the panel.
Nathan then forcefully pulled the panel and looked inside. He then did the same thing and wiped with the cloth only on the door of the panel.
He was careful not to touch the wires, then he closed the panel, leaving only some space between it.
Nathan sighed in relief and hoped that what he was about to do next would succeed.
He put a piece of candle on top of the panel and brought a lighter closer to it, then he lit it up and hurried away from it.
Nathan looked at the panel in joy as he saw the candle burning properly. At first, he was afraid that he would kill himself by doing this.
But thankfully, he succeeded. He then poured the rest of the gasoline on the ground, making a circle around the pole.
Then he quietly walked away from that spot. Nathan walked all the way to the back of the building, where he knew that there was an exit that was always open.
As he looked through the bushes, he saw a man standing guard. His outfit was miles apart compared to the guys he dealt with before.
'Are these people mercenaries?' Nathan couldn't help but think this when he saw the man holding a semiautomatic rifle in his hands.
It wasn't the first time this crossed his mind. When he was studying the building and the personnel, he saw some dressed just like the man in front of him.
This made Nathan realize he wasn't up against any ordinary gang.
Nathan then looked at the watch. Seeing that it was almost time, he put the night vision goggles on and closed his eyes, waiting for the distraction.
After waiting patiently for five minutes, the peaceful night was broken as a fire started on the power panel.
Some of the guards shouted and tried to hurry and extinguish the fire, but by the time they arrived in front of the panel, it was already too late.
Suddenly, the power panel exploded and pieces of fire jumped everywhere. Two men who were in the circle where Nathan poured gasoline didn't have time to process what happened as the surroundings lit up.
"Ahhhhh!"
The two screamed in agony as the fire reached their faces. Just as they were about to run away, a piece of wire broke and fell straight to the ground.
The electricity reached them in the blink of an eye, and the two trembled like they were having spasms, and then they fell helplessly to the ground.
Then all the surrounding lights and the lights in the building went off, bringing total darkness.
Just then, the man in front of Nathan looked around in panic. The short screams in the distance made him even more agitated.
'Now!' Nathan lunged at his back. Before the man could turn around, he went for his throat and put him in a chokehold.
"Ahg." The man tried to grab Nathan's face, but it was pointless, as Nathan had done this countless times.
Nathan gritted his teeth as he used all of his strength to finish him off. Just as the guard was about to reach for his knife, veins bulged on Nathan's forehead, and then he twisted the man's head.
"Crack!"
The light in the man's eyes dimmed as Nathan put him gently on the ground.
Nathan wasn't feeling that good either, as his arms were still trembling. The weakness of his new body was beginning to be more apparent.
Before he could think more about this, a fragment entered his body, then two more flew from the distance straight into him.
Nathan looked in that direction with surprise. It meant that two died from his improvised trap, but what surprised him most was that he got the fragments from that and they flew directly to him.
But this put him at ease, as he thought he needed to be right next to the dead body when it happened.
Before checking what he got, Nathan grabbed the dead body and threw it into the bushes. Of course, he didn't forget to take the rifle and the pistol.
Then he concentrated on what he got, and a hint of joy was seen in his eyes as he got a brand-new skill.
