Suddenly, memories flashed in his mind, scenes of how to walk more silently and how to use the dark to mask your body.

This time, it didn't feel as bad as the first two times, almost like his brain enlarged and got used to this.

All of this happened in just a few seconds. Just as he was about to concentrate on those memories more, he heard shouts from the people inside.

Nathan checked the gun's safety, then slowly made his way inside the building. Suddenly, a light flashed his way, and he hurriedly squatted down.

It didn't take long before some footsteps could be heard walking away. At this point, he knew that he had to hurry up or else his advantage would disappear.

He then began walking slowly on his toes while trying to make a layout of the building in his mind.

Suddenly, he heard some voices from the room to his right. When he got closer, he saw that it was the locker room.

Bringing his ear close to the door, he could now hear some of the words spoken.

"Really?! All I wanted was to take a hot shower."

"Shut up and quit whining, I have to go home."

After hearing the two people arguing, he immediately heard the shower water running. His lips curled up slightly, then he slowly twisted the knob and entered the locker room.

As soon as he entered, he could see two naked men showering and shivering at the same time. They even had an old phone with a light on, bringing them some light.

Nathan stepped slowly, and in no time, he was already close to them. The light from the phone wasn't strong to begin with, and behind them was complete darkness.

"Hey, Jerry-hmm!"

Jerry felt like something was weird, but he couldn't see Tom anymore. Just as he was about to look over the wall between them, he bumped into his phone, and it fell to the ground.

He quickly turned off the shower and squatted to grab the phone before water could enter. Just then, his body froze as he came face to face with Nathan.

Nathan's outfit with the goggles on looked terrifying in the dark. He slowly put a finger on his lips and spoke. "Shhh…don't you know that you shouldn't drop the soap?"

"W-what?" Jerry's lips trembled as he was about to curse, thinking it was one of his colleagues.

Just then, something that didn't feel like water touched his feet, and when he looked over, he saw Tom lying on the floor with his eyes wide open and a knife in his throat.

Jerry's body trembled as he realized that they were being attacked. Just as he was about to shout, he felt the cold barrel of the rifle right against his temple.

"What d-do you want?" He didn't dare to speak loudly, as he liked his life more than the job.

Nathan glanced at his cowardly expression and didn't feel anything. No sudden feeling of mercy or regret for what he did or what he was going to do. Just like before his fights, he would rip his opponent apart.

"Tell me where's the so-called boss?"

"The boss?" Jerry asked, confused, but when he felt the weight on his head shift, he quickly spoke. "He's on the top floor. You could easily find it since he uses almost all the space on that floor."

Nathan glanced thoughtfully up, and he nodded. "How many of you are there?"

Jerry looked down toward Tom, and his face paled. "20, but…19 now."

Nathan then asked a few more questions, and after all that, he spoke in an informative manner. "Just so you know, there are only 16 people remaining."

"What?"

Seeing his shocked expression, Nathan tapped his head as if he had forgotten something. "Silly me…I forgot about you, so only 15 people."

Nathan let go of the gun, and it swayed on his shoulder. Before Jerry could rejoice, a knife greeted his throat too.

Seeing his disbelieving expression, Nathan shrugged his shoulders. "So dramatic…buddy, you're the bad guy."

Jerry coughed a mouthful of blood as his body became weaker with each second, then finally fell with his face flat on the floor.

Then Nathan took the chance to feel what fragments he got from both of them.

[Intermediate Firearms]

Seeing that it was firearms, he wasn't dissatisfied. This skill would prove useful even later on.

And he noticed that even if he got some basics of other weapons at the intermediate level, it wasn't years of training like with the pistol. So he guessed that the advanced level was where things really change.
