Nathan felt like something pulled him back from the hands of death. Just as he was about to concentrate on the fragment he got, he suddenly heard footsteps, and his face changed.

In that moment, he realized that there were supposed to be two remaining men, but he only saw the Boss.

While lying on his belly, he could see a thin man getting closer to him. The man stopped when he saw his boss dead and looked at Nathan.Full novel: Teen Wolf: The Soul Collector — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

His face trembled as the damage around him was terrifying to him. "Y-you killed them all!"

Nathan felt his eyes getting heavier again, but he held on. "They deserve it!" As he spoke, he slowly hid his hand under his stomach.

"No! No!" The man shook his head frantically and suddenly pointed a gun at Nathan. "How-how can I enjoy the merchandise if they are all gone?!"

"Merchandise?" Nathan thought of the supposed drugs downstairs, but the man's next words made his expression tremble in anger.

"The girls!" The man giggled as if he were some kid, but only a twisted expression could be seen on that face.

He then lifted his gun. "Now die!"

"No, you will be the one dying."

"What?" The man glanced at him in confusion, but then his face froze. "Bang!" A bullet hole appeared in the middle of his forehead, and he slowly fell backwards.

"Thud!"

Nathan looked at the gun in his hand and regretted that he had never bought one in his previous life.

He was lucky that the man talked as long as he did, giving him a chance to concentrate on the Inventory to take a gun out.

Just as another fragment entered his body, his body suddenly went limp, and his vision went dark.

Four hours passed, and there was Nathan sleeping in exhaustion between two dead men. His breathing was heavy, and suddenly his eyelids twitched as his eyes slowly opened.

Instinctively, he patted his left side. "Coach, let me sleep just ten more minutes."

"GET UP!"

Nathan opened his eyes at the voice that gave him nightmares, but when he looked around, he didn't see that figure.

"You old bastard! Even in another world, you still hunt me!" He grumbled displeasingly, but his voice couldn't hide his sorrow.

"Ahhg." Nathan then slowly lifted his upper body up. When he happened to look at his foot that was bitten, his face froze in shock as the wound had stopped bleeding.

He could still see the deep holes and the flesh that was pierced, but he knew that kind of wound didn't just stop bleeding.

Nathan looked at his watch and saw that four hours had passed. "Impossible! I should have bled to death."

Not to mention the other various injuries he got on his body, that alone was enough to kill him. The piercing pain was still there, but Nathan knew his body.

The pain was less than before, but just sleeping was impossible to do this. Then he involuntarily looked at the dead Patrick.

Nathan closed his eyes and concentrated on the fragments he got, and what he saw put a huge smile on his face.

He was sure that this came from the werewolf, and this answered his doubts about why his wounds felt like they healed faster.

"Rare?" This new term confused him, and Nathan wished that he could just throw his phone out. It gave him an ability; at least it should tell him more information about what he gets.

He then turned his attention toward the other fragment and was surprised to see another one that was completed.

He looked with interest at this new skill, and memories emerged in his mind. The skill had already fused with him in his sleep, so now he had a feeling of scrolling through a memory.

There were some scenes of him coding and breaking through some firewalls.

Nathan then shook his head and focused on the sight in front of him. He got used to the vibrating sound when a mission came and when it was finished.

When he glanced at the phone, he knew that his guess was spot on. The mission wasn't over yet.

Then he remembered that the requirement was also to destroy the base. Nathan struggled for a few seconds, but he finally managed to get up.

The sense of relaxation vanished as someone else could appear at any moment, other mercenaries or even the police. Frankly, he didn't know who was worse.
