Just as he was about to head downstairs, Nathan suddenly caught a smell of burning.

He looked around the room, and when he glanced at the impaled generator, he could see a little smoke coming up.

Nathan noticed that the smoke was getting larger as time passed, and the smell became stronger.Full novel: Teen Wolf: The Soul Collector — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"I guess the Goddess of Luck didn't really abandon me." This could save him a lot of work, especially considering his current state.

Regardless, Nathan knew that he had to get out of the building because he could feel the pain in his leg.

And this would make him slower, so he got a container of gasoline out of his inventory and put it a bit further from the generator.

This way, the fire could spread better, but it could still give him a chance to get out.

He glanced at the body of Patrick one more time, then started limping toward the exit.

Getting down was way harder than when he came up, and slower too. But he ignored the pain that was running throughout his body and picked up his pace.

After a few minutes, he arrived at the warehouse where the drugs were stored. Just as he was about to pass them, he stopped.

Nathan then took another container and started pouring gasoline on the boxes. He then got closer to the emergency exit door and threw out a lighter, igniting the boxes.

He didn't stay to watch the spectacle and hurried to get out. As he stepped outside, the fresh morning air hit his nose, making him stop and enjoy it for a second.

Then Nathan picked up the pace and walked some distance away from the building.

"Now we wait and see." He hid his body behind some trees and gazed at the building with anticipation.

Nathan didn't have to wait long, as the fire from the boxes had already spread throughout the warehouse.

He could see the flames becoming more aggressive and spreading upstairs.

"Boom!"

Before they could reach the upper floors, he heard an explosion, and flames engulfed the room where he had fought and spread everywhere.

The sight was spectacular, and the burning flames put a smile on his face. "Beautiful."

Unfortunately, he didn't want to risk it and wait for all parts of the building to catch fire. It was already morning, and it wouldn't take long for the sun to set.

Nathan changed his damaged clothes, which were full of blood, and walked away as fast as his roughed-up body could.

As soon as he left the small forest, he started walking normally, and his face looked straight ahead as if nothing had happened to him.

Nathan then dropped his hair over his forehead and put a hat on his head.

The moment that he started entering a more public area, his eyes were constantly scanning for cameras and the best routes he could take so as not to be seen.

After walking for half an hour, he waved for a taxi and got in the back. Without looking up, he gave the driver a twenty-dollar bill and gave him a note with a written address on it.

The driver glanced in the mirror as he took them, and just as he was about to have a small chat, something inside of him told him that he should mind his own business.

The ride was the quietest that the driver had, thankfully for both of them. It didn't take long to arrive at the address he was given.

"That's it, 990 Fulton St, Apt 4B." The driver looked at the apartment, and just as he was about to give back the change and the note, Nathan got up.

"You keep the change," Nathan said in a lower tone and then headed for the apartment.

The driver looked at the money for a second, then put it back in his wallet. Then he threw the note to the passenger seat and drove off.

Nathan walked very slowly, and as soon as he heard the car leaving, he turned around and left in another direction.

After walking another half an hour, Nathan couldn't keep his expression straight anymore, as the pain increased with every step he took.

But he still gritted his teeth and walked normally despite the pain. At this point, he knew he had to find a place to rest and stitch his wound.

After walking another ten minutes, he arrived in front of a small motel. It looked like no one had stayed there since the '90s.

Just as he was about to enter, his body froze as the phone in his pocket vibrated. A smile appeared on his face, but it wasn't time to check the rewards, so he continued walking towards the door.
