While walking towards his motel, Nathan patiently waited for the reward.

Nathan was stunned by the wave of rewards, and before he could blink, a light came out of his phone and entered his body.
A warm feeling spread throughout his body, and the information about his new skill came to mind.
Adrenaline Surge could push his body to the limit of human potential. He would have better reflexes and reaction time.
Just as he felt the good stuff, he frowned when the information about the limits came.
The ability could only be activated once a day for 30 seconds, and it would take a heavy toll on his body after using it.
But then his brows relaxed, as this ability could save his life.
The inventory was the most interesting to him, and just as he thought of it, he could feel that he just needed to touch an object and it would be taken in.
The only problem was that it needed him to concentrate on the inside of the inventory, so he couldn't use it as fast as he wished.
He touched his backpack and watched it disappear before his eyes, then with a thought, it appeared again.
His eyes lit up in joy as if he was a little kid. The money was good too, but the identity package was the thing he needed most.
When he took it from the inventory, it contained all the stuff that a normal citizen would have. He immediately thought of the grumpy motel owner and sighed in relief.
While he was looking at the reward, he still didn't stop walking, and by now he had reached his motel.
Right as he entered, he spotted the fat motel owner. He looked like someone owed him a million dollars.
Nathan ignored him and just wanted to get to his room. Unfortunately, our wishes are not always granted.
"Wait!" The owner put his hand forward and grunted as he observed him. "Did you find your ID?"
Nathan stopped and glanced at him with a frown. "I gave you an extra 50 bucks. What more do you need?"
"Hmph! That's just me being gracious! You people don't appreciate kindness!" The fat owner gave him a dirty look and struck the counter as if wanting to intimidate him.
"You people?" Nathan mumbled the same words, and his eyes became colder by the second.
"You fat bastard! Do you want a physical surgery?!" Nathan approached the counter aggressively, and the only thing that kept him from smashing the man's face was that he wanted to rest that night.
The man seemed not to care about him getting closer, and only Nathan's words made him angry. "You son of a…!"
Before he could finish, Nathan grabbed him by the collar and put his face on the counter. "Say one more word, and I will make you pretty!"
The man struggled for a few seconds, then his eyes froze when he saw the knife on Nathan's belt. "I-I just wanted some ID! I will call the police if you don't stop!"
"Just some ID, my ass!" Nathan gave him a cold look, and he slapped his ID on the counter.
The man looked at it in surprise, and Nathan let go of him, stretching his hand towards the owner.
"What do you want?" He was confused by this gesture.
"Give me my money back. You saw the ID, now you don't need the guarantee."
"Guarantee?!" The fat owner trembled at the mention of giving his money away. But when he thought of what happened earlier, he finally gave in and slowly slid the money in front of Nathan.
Nathan was flabbergasted by this guy's shameless behavior. It was Nathan's money, but he acted like it was his.
He took the money off the counter and made his way into his room. He worried that if he stayed one more second, he would punch the owner in the face.
While Nathan was abstaining from hitting the motel owner, the scene of the incident was still active.
"She looks alright, but we need to do further scans at the hospital." The medical staff finished checking Sara, and she reassured the tall man beside them.
The man in a suit let out a sigh of relief. He didn't know what he would do if he lost his little girl. "That's good! Are you feeling fine, sweetheart?"
Sara gave her father a big smile. "Yes! The hero came and saved me in time!" Her tone brightened when she thought of Nathan, but then she looked down as she realized she would not see him again.
"Hero?" Her father mumbled to himself in wonder. He heard what happened from his daughter. He didn't care about what the man was called; he just knew he would never forget what he had done for their family.
Not far from them, a police officer suddenly got a call. He answered, and while talking, he immediately looked at Sara. He then closed the phone and approached them.
He nodded respectfully toward Sara's father and looked at her. "Could you describe the man's appearance?" He took out a notebook and waited for her description.
Sara's father frowned as he looked carefully at the officer. He had a weird feeling.
Sara looked at the officer with her cute eyes and opened her mouth to speak.
"I…"
