Ren arrived home and walked inside, immediately heading toward his bathroom without bothering to greet anyone.
He took a long, hot shower, letting the warmth wash away the grime and tension from the night before finally stepping out and heading into his room.
Once inside, he changed into something comfortable, turned on his PC, and dropped into his chair.
‘Well, they saw my uniform.
Pretty much narrows down their search,’ he thought while staring at the monitor.
‘Not that I care.
They’ll never find out it’s me.’
How did he know?
Well…
You know the drill.
His thoughts eventually drifted toward something else.
He remembered the day he’d spent with Souna, from their conversation in the Student Council room to their little date afterward.
A small smile appeared on his face as he leaned back in his chair.
‘Now that I think about it…
will I have a harem?’ Ren thought about it for a few seconds before shaking his head.
‘Nah.
I don’t see that in my future.’
He turned his attention back toward his computer, completely confident in his conclusion.
For once…Ren was wrong.
…..
Another year passed.
Ren Amamiya was now a third-year student and officially eighteen years old.
Despite all the supernatural chaos surrounding Kuoh Town, he had spent the past year living his life happily, enjoying school, hanging out with his friends, and occasionally hunting down whatever supernatural creature decided to cause trouble in his territory.
Today, however, Ren woke up in an unusually good mood.
He practically jumped out of bed the moment his alarm went off before heading straight for the shower.
The house was completely empty, which wasn’t surprising since his parents were currently on vacation and had been gone for nearly a month.
Of course, they hadn’t just abandoned him.
They had asked the old lady next door to check on him from time to time, making sure their son wasn’t accidentally burning the house down or starving himself.
Thankfully, Ren had been doing perfectly fine.
Actually…He had been living the dream.
After taking a long shower, Ren headed downstairs and immediately turned on some music.
It was Monday morning, yet instead of preparing himself mentally for another miserable day of school, he was already turning up the volume and letting the music fill the entire house.
He grabbed something to eat while casually dancing along before suddenly stopping.
“I need to get laid,” he muttered to himself.
Ren looked around the empty house before shrugging.
“I haven’t had any fine shyts at my crib out of respect for my parents.”
He paused for a second before grinning.
“But I know Dad would understand.” Read this novel at g.com for the best experience.
With that completely serious conclusion, Ren headed back upstairs to get dressed.
A few minutes later, he came downstairs wearing his school uniform with a pair of headphones resting over his head purely for decoration.
He grabbed his bag, checked that he had everything he needed, and finally stepped outside.
After locking the front door behind him, Ren shoved his hands into his pockets and began walking toward school.
It was another ordinary Monday morning.
At least…
As ordinary as things could get for Yhwach Ren Amamiya.
On his way toward school, Ren greeted a few of his neighbors, casually exchanging greetings as he passed them.
The morning was still fairly quiet, with people heading to work and students making their way toward the academy.
“You working hard at that school, kid?” one of his older neighbors called out.
“Hardly working, Hugo-san,” Ren replied with a grin, making the man laugh as he continued on his way.
A few minutes later, Ren stopped at a red light and waited patiently with his hands inside his pockets.
He glanced toward the road ahead, watching the cars pass by while enjoying the cool morning air.
‘Another day.
So far, things have been going well for me.
Unsurprisingly, honestly.’
He barely had time to finish the thought before two hands suddenly rested on his shoulders from behind.
“Ren-kun, Ohayo!”
“Ara, Ren-kun.”
Ren blinked before looking ahead.
Two beautiful girls had stepped in front of him, both wearing cheerful smiles as they hit what could only be described as the classic anime girl pose.
Rias and Akeno.
Before Ren could say anything, he suddenly felt someone tug lightly on the side of his shirt.
Looking down, he found a familiar white-haired girl standing beside him, her cat-like appearance making her instantly recognizable.
Koneko Toujo.
“Ohayo, Ren-san.”
“What’s up, guys?” Ren asked, looking between the three girls suspiciously.
“Are you stalking me again?”
Rias immediately shook her head.
“Come on, we always bump into each other here.
Remember, we don’t live that far apart.”
“Oh yeah.” Ren nodded slowly before glancing at them.
“Why haven’t you guys invited me over yet?
You keep inviting me to the ORC club, though.”
Akeno smiled as she casually wrapped her arm around his.
“I mean, you’re our friend.
You always go to Souna, so why not visit us?”
Ren looked between the two girls before shrugging.
“I guess.
I’ll come over today if you don’t mind then.”
The moment he agreed, the expressions of all three girls brightened.
Even Koneko’s usually emotionless face seemed to soften slightly.
“Great,” Rias said happily.
Akeno’s smile widened.
“We’ll be waiting for you, Ren-kun.”
Ren simply nodded before looking toward the traffic light.
The light had finally turned green.
“Alright, let’s get going before we’re late.”
His relationship with them had gotten much closer over the past year, mostly through completely random occurrences that somehow kept bringing them together.
Ren had once run into Rias while she was lost in the city, and after realizing she had absolutely no idea where she was going, he ended up spending the entire day with her, showing her around while she complained about getting lost in the first place.
Akeno and him hadn’t advanced much since their date, though they still spent plenty of time together whenever the opportunity came up.
Their relationship had slowly become more comfortable, with Akeno teasing him whenever she got the chance, and Ren was perfectly happy to play along.
Koneko was a different story.
The two of them had developed their own little routine, usually sitting together on the bench near the Occult Research Club while eating various sweet treats.
Koneko especially enjoyed those moments, and Ren had quickly learned that giving her something sweet was probably the easiest way to keep her in a good mood.
Eventually, the group continued walking toward school together, casually talking about random things along the way.
When they finally arrived at Kuoh Academy, Ren immediately felt the collective glare of practically every guy nearby.
He glanced around.
‘Damn.’
The girl-to-boy ratio at the academy had changed drastically over the last two years.
More boys had been admitted each year, slowly closing the ridiculous gap that had once existed between the two genders.
Sure, the girls still heavily outnumbered them, but the boys were getting closer every year.
And apparently, having Rias, Akeno, and Koneko walking beside him wasn’t helping Ren’s situation.
He simply ignored the looks and continued walking with the girls.
Once they reached the school building, Koneko separated from them and headed toward the Occult Research Club, most likely looking for something sweet to eat before class.
Ren, Rias, and Akeno continued toward their classroom together.
The moment the three of them entered, several classmates immediately greeted them, and they casually returned the greetings as they made their way inside.
‘ That story might begin anyday.
I can’t wait.
Most especially Grayfia and Rias’s mother.
Yes the rumors are true.
I like them older.
‘ he thought.
Ren surprisingly continues to become more goated as time passes.
Peace
