“Bang!”
Feng Changlan was so shocked that his jaw nearly dropped to the ground. His legs went weak, and he collapsed onto the ground.
“I… flying… Miss Yun is flying!”
Shen Xingchen had been somewhat prepared for this, but the moment he saw her standing in midair, he was still so stunned that he froze in place.
Although he was not nearly as undignified as Feng Changlan, the shock in his trembling pupils was enough to reveal how deeply shaken he was.
This was a miracle, something no human being had ever been capable of doing.
Yet she had done it.
Yun Xingwan paid no attention to the two men behind her. Dragging the stone coffin behind her, she walked through the air toward the tide of demon creatures as casually as though she were walking on level ground.
With every step she took, faint ripples spread beneath her feet.
Layer after layer, the ripples expanded outward like blooming flowers.
Her pace appeared slow, yet in the blink of an eye, she had already crossed hundreds of kilometers.
Shen Xingchen finally came back to his senses and immediately shouted into his wristwatch, “Prepare a fighter jet!”
At the center of the demon tide, the Hell Red Eyed Demon King sat high upon a black throne. It had sensed the aura of the one who had killed the Hell Blood Demon King.
The eighteen eyes across its three heads stared into the void.
“Lowly insect!”
Its sharp roar pierced through the void and spread in every direction.
“Hand that person over, or I will slaughter this entire city.”
“Whoosh… rumble…”
The wind howled violently across the sky while the two lava dragons on the ground churned and boiled.
The tremendous force shook the soldiers beneath the protective barrier so badly that they could barely remain standing, and blood began to flow from their eyes, ears, noses, and mouths.
“So noisy.”
A soft voice as gentle as a spring breeze drifted through the air. Her voice was quiet, yet the howling wind suddenly stopped, and the two boiling lava dragons on the ground instantly froze in place.
The soldiers who had been staggering from the shockwave also straightened themselves.
Yun Xingwan arrived in the air at the front of the two armies, the stone coffin still dragging behind her with a low hum.
She calmly looked up at the enormous creature that was a thousand times larger than her.
She gently brushed at a speck of nonexistent dust on her sleeve, her brows knitting slightly.
“Hmm, you’re quite ugly. Don’t you have any better looking ones? Still, you certainly have a loud voice. You’d make an excellent food delivery guy.”
Silence descended over the entire battlefield.
It was so quiet that one could hear a pin drop.
The Hell Red Eyed Demon King stared blankly for ten seconds. Then, furious flames erupted from all eighteen of its eyes.
“Die!”
It raised the enormous axe in its hand and brought it crashing down toward Yun Xingwan’s head.
“Boom! Boom!”
The air exploded with a deafening hum.
The enormous axe carried a scorching wave of heat, as though it intended to set the entire void ablaze.
In an instant, the entire space became like a gigantic steamer, seemingly determined to cook every living creature within it.
Even the soldiers inside the energy barrier were drenched in sweat from the unbearable heat, looking like wilted eggplants that had been left to bake beneath the sun.
It was over.
That was the final thought in the minds of countless soldiers.
They wanted to resist, but the overwhelming pressure had crushed away even the slightest trace of strength they possessed.
They closed their eyes in despair.
“Buzzing…”
Before the enormous axe could descend, the roar of an aircraft sounded from behind Yun Xingwan.
“Miss Yun, get on the plane!”
Shen Xingchen was piloting the latest fighter jet. Forcing his way through the terrifying pressure, he appeared behind Yun Xingwan.
Yun Xingwan turned her head, and a complicated emotion flashed through her eyes, so subtle that it was almost impossible to detect.
“Go back. I’m fine.”
Her voice was cold and firm, carrying an unmistakable command that allowed no refusal.
Shen Xingchen’s eyes flickered. As he looked into her unwavering gaze, worry filled his heart, yet somewhere deep down, he instinctively felt that he should trust her.
“Protect yourself!”
The moment he turned the fighter jet around and left, the enormous axe descended from the sky.
Yun Xingwan raised a finger and lightly pointed at it.
The enormous axe instantly froze in midair.
She sniffed lightly, a bright gleam flashing through her cold eyes.
“What pure fire energy. This is excellent. This axe should be pretty good for chopping meat.”
She extended her withered right hand. A stream of energy began swirling in her palm, forming a golden vortex.
Great Emperor Secret Art, Shift Form.
In the blink of an eye, the enormous axe appeared in her palm.
She gripped it and lifted it slightly.
“Hmm, this should work nicely for chopping pig bones for my dad.”
The Hell Red Eyed Demon King stared blankly at the axe in her hand.
Under its horrified gaze, the enormous axe began to twist and deform. The fire energy contained within it slowly disappeared.
Once all the energy had vanished, the gigantic axe had shrunk to a size that an ordinary human could easily wield.
The fire energy naturally entered Yun Xingwan’s body, continuously surging through and nourishing her dried up meridians.
“Burp!”
By the time the enormous axe had become an ordinary sized axe, the fire energy had completely disappeared.
Yun Xingwan let out a satisfied burp. Several tiny cracks on her face vanished, and even her withered skin seemed to regain some of its luster.
Her gaze shifted back toward the Hell Red Eyed Demon King.
The look in her eyes was nakedly greedy.
It was the same way someone might stare at a roasted chicken.
“You are a little ugly, but I hope your meat tastes better.”
The Hell Red Eyed Demon King suddenly felt a chill rise from the soles of its feet and shoot upward, making its heart tighten with fear.
The eighteen eyes across its three heads flickered incessantly, looking just like a malfunctioning traffic light, with red, yellow, and green lights constantly intertwining.
The strange display even added several unusual colors to the sky.
What kind of monster was this?
It was a demon king that devoured humans, yet in front of this frail woman, it suddenly felt as though it were the dish sitting on the dining table.
“Gulp.”
Its three heads, three necks, and three enormous Adam’s apples all bobbed simultaneously.
As a Demon Lord, it had witnessed nuclear bombs, artillery, and forbidden spells, but it had never seen a creature that could eat flames as though they were food.
A tremor originating from the depths of its soul struck directly at its mind, and its first instinct was to flee.
Yet its unwillingness and fury held it firmly in place.
“Who exactly are you?”
Yun Xingwan did not answer. Instead, she looked at its three heads with clear disgust.
“What happened to your heads? Why are they so bizarrely shaped? What if you scare my parents?”
“You’re courting death!”
The Hell Red Eyed Demon King roared furiously. Its right claw clenched into a fist and smashed toward Yun Xingwan’s face.
Yun Xingwan shook her head and took one step forward.
Yet her figure appeared directly beside the three heads.
“Three heads. You should have three demon cores, right?”
Her voice was soft, but when it reached the ears of the Hell Red Eyed Demon King, it sounded like a death sentence.
The creature was terrified and desperately wanted to escape, but its body seemed to have been restrained by some invisible force. Only its sixteen remaining eyes could still move.
“Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!”
Yun Xingwan’s hand curled into a claw and pierced straight through its bones, ripping the demon cores from all three of its heads.
The Hell Red Eyed Demon King did not even have time to feel pain before its enormous body went limp.
With a thunderous crash, it slammed into the ground and crushed a large number of demon soldiers beneath it.
“Ah, that was all meat.”
Her voice sounded regretful, yet there was an unmistakable coldness beneath it.
The death of the Hell Red Eyed Demon King threw all the demon creatures into chaos. Some of the more intelligent ones immediately turned around and fled.
Yun Xingwan drew a huge circle in the air with her finger, imprisoning every fleeing demon creature within it.
“Since the food delivery has already arrived, how could I possibly let you run away?”
“Ah…”
She sighed softly and began walking once more.
“Pfft…”
The only sounds that remained throughout the entire space were the explosions of heads.
One demon core after another floated through the air.
The demon cores hovering in midair transformed into streams of energy and poured into Yun Xingwan’s body, while her hands moved faster and faster until they became nothing more than a series of afterimages.
In the end, every high level demon creature had been reduced to a lifeless corpse.
