Рan-fried fish fillеt, medium-rarе steak, marinаtеd аmberjасk, porcini mushrоom sоuр, black gоld abalоne sаlаd…

“I didn’t knоw yоu drank toо much last night, sо I оrdеred some heavier dishes.” Thе аroma of the fооd before hеr wаs enticing, and Yin En Yu spoke slowly, “If you don’t feel like eating these, I can order you a light white porridge instead.”

“Bland white porridge? Whoever likes it can have it.” He Yu Zhou was quite satisfied with the spread on the table. “Not bad, you still remember I only eat medium-rare steak.”

Yin En Yu thought to herself that after spending over seven hundred days together, some things weren’t so easily forgotten.

“Want to eat together?” He Yu Zhou handed her the knife and fork in his hand.

Yin En Yu shook her head. “I’m not hungry. I just ate something before coming to see you.”

“Alright.”

He Yu Zhou ate quickly, but it didn’t come across as rushed or crude. Instead, it was somewhat pleasing to watch.

Yin En Yu stared at him for a while before averting her gaze, afraid he would notice and tease her about it again.

“Can I take a look around your office?” she asked.

Sitting here waiting was rather boring.

He Yu Zhou didn’t even look up. “Go ahead.”

With his permission, Yin En Yu stood up and first walked over to the nearby bookshelf. The books were neatly categorized and displayed, most of them related to investment and finance.

And most of them were in English.

Yin En Yu casually took one down and flipped through it, noticing the marks he had made inside.

He Yu Zhou glanced at her from time to time, and this scene warmed his heart.

No matter where she went or what she picked up, He Yu Zhou didn’t stop her.

He even took the initiative to ask, “Aren’t you going to check out my restroom?”

Yin En Yu used the gentlest tone to say the words that stung He Yu Zhou the most. “Not interested.”

He Yu Zhou chuckled. “You’re something else.”

Yin En Yu ignored him and gracefully turned to walk toward his desk.

Before she could get close, the man who had been eating with his head down suddenly became uneasy and urgently stopped her. “Wait.”

Yin En Yu stiffened and turned around in confusion. “What’s wrong?”

In those brief few seconds, He Yu Zhou had already hurried over to the desk, quickly grabbed an item next to the computer, and stuffed it into a drawer.

His movements were too fast, and with his body consciously blocking her view, Yin En Yu couldn’t see what he had hidden.

“What is it that I can’t see?”

He even allowed her into the restroom, so what on his desk could he possibly not want her to see?

He Yu Zhou replied calmly, “Company secrets.”

Yin En Yu was skeptical. “Do you think I’d sell your company’s secrets?”

His reaction just now made it seem like he was guarding against her as if she were a thief.

He Yu Zhou vaguely responded, “It’s a reflex.”

Yin En Yu didn’t believe him, but she didn’t plan to dig deeper. Everyone has their own secrets.

After the meal, Zou Zhen knocked on the office door and walked in. “Mr. He, you have a meeting in ten minutes.”

“Got it.” He Yu Zhou leisurely rolled down his sleeves.Seeing that he had work to do, Yin En Yu decided not to disturb him further and prepared to leave. “Then I won’t keep you.”

She hadn’t come here for any particular reason—just to answer the question she hadn’t addressed over the phone.

He Yu Zhou couldn’t let her leave so easily. “Sit here for a while. This meeting won’t take long.”

Who knew when she’d come here again next time?

Yin En Yu asked, “What would I do here?”

Last time, at least he had invited her for a meal.

He Yu Zhou replied simply and directly, “Keep me company.”

A faint smile appeared at the corner of Yin En Yu’s lips. “He Yu Zhou, how old are you?”

He was acting like a child who needed a parent’s company to go to school.

“Besides, I have something to do this afternoon.”

“What do you have to do?” He Yu Zhou blurted out. “Aren’t you on break lately?”

Yin En Yu looked at him with surprise. “How did you know that?”

She didn’t recall telling him.

He Yu Zhou suddenly realized he had slipped up, a flicker of panic flashing in his eyes. “I heard it from someone.”

Yin En Yu narrowed her eyes and pressed further, “Who did you hear it from?”

He Yu Zhou responded vaguely, “Never mind. Even if I told you, you wouldn’t know them.”

Yin En Yu persisted, “How do you know I wouldn’t know them if you don’t tell me?”

He Yu Zhou remained calm and composed. “Do you think I don’t know who you’re acquainted with?”

They both understood each other’s social circles well.

Seeing that he was determined not to say, Yin En Yu gave up asking. “There’s not a single truthful word from you.”

He Yu Zhou met her gaze, his eyes swirling with ambiguous emotions. “Then are all the words from your mouth truthful?”

Yin En Yu was momentarily speechless, unsure what he was referring to.

Fortunately, He Yu Zhou didn’t expect an answer from her. He picked up the suit jacket from the sofa and put it on. “I’m going to the meeting. If you want to leave, wait until I’m back.”

If he had known she would come today, he would have adjusted the meeting time instead of leaving her alone in the office.

Afraid she might ignore his words, He Yu Zhou tapped her forehead with his index finger. “Did you hear me?”

Yin En Yu deliberately provoked him by not giving a definite answer. “We’ll see.”

“What’s there to see? You have to wait.” He Yu Zhou glanced at the white handbag nearby, bent down, and picked it up. “I’m confiscating this bag for now.”

Yin En Yu laughed at his behavior. “He Yu Zhou, how childish.”

She really should open the door and let the employees outside see how their dignified and imposing President He acted like a rogue in private.

Besides, if she really wanted to leave, she would go even if it meant abandoning the bag.

He Yu Zhou didn’t respond. Instead, he locked her bag in a drawer and put the key in his pocket. “If you need anything, call the secretary outside.”

With that, he prepared to leave for the meeting.

After taking a few steps, he suddenly turned back, walked to the coffee table, picked up a bottle of water, unscrewed the cap slightly, then gently tightened it before placing it in front of Yin En Yu.

“Don’t let yourself get thirsty.”

Yin En Yu looked at the water bottle in front of her. He was still the same as before, thoughtfully arranging everything for her.

With him around, it seemed she never had to do anything herself.

“I can open it myself,” Yin En Yu whispered.”Sure, but it’s unnecessary.” He Yu Zhou said dismissively. “Your hands are far too precious.”
