It was thе sесrеtary frоm оutsidе whо enterеd, holding а phonе in both hands with а respеctful and pоlitе аttitude. “Мiss Yin, this is Рresident Hе’s phоnе. The drivеr just deliverеd it.”

Yin Enуu rеаchеd out to tаke it. “Give it tо mе.”

Тhe secretary repliеd, “Аlright.”

By now, evеrуone in the соmpany knew that the pianist Yin Enyu held an extraordinary place in their President He’s heart. Handing the phone over to her was undoubtedly the right thing to do.

“Would you like something to drink?” the secretary asked.

Yin Enyu declined with a smile. “No, thank you.”

“Alright, please let me know if you need anything.”

After the secretary left, Yin Enyu casually placed the black phone face-down on the coffee table in front of her.

At that very moment, her pupils suddenly fixed, her gaze tightly locked onto the photo in the card slot on the back of the phone case.

To confirm she hadn’t misseen, she picked up the phone and examined it closely.

There was no way she could mistake the person in the photo—it was her. Moreover, she remembered the location and time when this photo was taken vividly.

Yin Enyu’s heartstrings trembled, her palms slightly damp.

This act was like silently declaring his territory while also erecting a barrier that could deter some pursuers.

Had he never considered starting a new relationship after they parted?

Yin Enyu knew he never concealed his affection, but she hadn’t expected that even after their separation, his feelings hadn’t faded.

This deepened her guilt toward him.

About half an hour later, He Yuzhou finished his meeting and returned to the office.

The person on the sofa remained exactly as she was when he left, not even shifting her position.

Hearing the commotion, Yin Enyu looked up and said nonchalantly, “The secretary brought your phone.”

The phone had already been placed face-up on the coffee table by her.

He Yuzhou responded with an “Mm.”

The next second, the photo on the back of the phone case suddenly flashed through his mind. His heart tightened, and a flicker of panic crossed his expression.

But his tone remained deliberately casual, as if teasing her. “Did you look at my phone?”

“Why would I look at your phone?” Yin Enyu chose to interpret the surface meaning of his words, pretending nothing was amiss. “Do I seem like the kind of person who would do something so impolite and overstepping?”

Even when they were dating, she never checked his phone. On the rare occasions she used his phone to look something up, she did it openly in front of him.

He Yuzhou’s deep eyes scrutinized her for a few seconds.

Seeing her calm and composed demeanor, not as if she were deliberately pretending, he assumed she hadn’t discovered anything.

He quickly picked up the phone from the table and slipped it into his pocket.

“Do you really have plans this afternoon?”

Yin Enyu nodded. “Yes, I made plans with Tangtang to practice Pilates.”

He Yuzhou raised his eyebrows playfully, his tone suggestive. “No wonder your body is so flexible.”

In the past, when time allowed, she would also practice for a while every morning after waking up.

He Yuzhou gazed at her. The temperature was relatively high today, so she wore only a double-diamond strap dress. The square neckline revealed her well-defined collarbones. The full, graceful curves were faintly visible, fair and flawless, every part perfectly proportioned.

He Yu Zhou’s Adam’s apple bobbed, a wave of dryness washing over him.

Yin En Yu felt his scorching gaze fixed on her, her shimmering eyes glaring at him reproachfully, “He Yu Zhou!”

She was wearing a perfectly normal dress, but his gaze felt like it carried heat—every inch of skin it swept over seemed to burn.

He Yu Zhou curved his lips into a smile, shifting his gaze to her delicate face. “Not even allowed to look at you?”

“Exactly, you’re not allowed to look.” Yin En Yu shot him a light glare, stood up, and walked toward the door.

He Yu Zhou watched her slender back, shaking his head with a soft chuckle. “Slow down, I’ll take you.”

Yin En Yu paused slightly. “Why would you take me?”

He Yu Zhou picked up his car keys, his tone leaving no room for argument. “I want to. Don’t worry about it.”

Yin En Yu: “But I have a driver.”

He Yu Zhou tapped her head helplessly. “Being your driver is beneath me, is it?”

To get back at him for earlier, Yin En Yu deliberately provoked him. “A little.”

He Yu Zhou chuckled, truly tempted to retort with pride, “Fine, I won’t take you then.”

But he knew that if he really said it, given their awkward relationship, she definitely wouldn’t stop him.

“I must have owed you in a past life.”

He had no way of dealing with her.

Yin En Yu pursed her lips, no longer saying things he didn’t want to hear, her voice gentle. “I just don’t want to trouble you.”

He Yu Zhou: “I want to.”

Outside the company, Yin En Yu spotted her family’s business vehicle. “I need to get something from the car first.”

“What do you need? I’ll get it for you,” He Yu Zhou said. “Wait in the car.”

“No need.” Yin En Yu walked over unhurriedly and took a cup from the driver.

“This is hangover tea Aunt Yu brewed for you,” she said, handing the cup to the man before her. “It should help with your headache after drinking.”

A visible flicker of surprise crossed He Yu Zhou’s face, his heart softening beyond measure.

“When did you do this?” He took the white cup—it was still warm.

“While you were in the meeting.”

She had asked the driver to go home and get it for her. Even though she said she wouldn’t care, hearing him say he was uncomfortable made it impossible for her to truly ignore it.

“Is this your cup?” He Yu Zhou raised his right hand, shaking it slightly.

Only when he asked did Yin En Yu remember—she had forgotten to tell Aunt Yu to use a new cup for the hangover tea.

Yin En Yu hummed in acknowledgment. “If you mind…”

Before she could finish, the man in front of her opened the lid, pressed his lips to the rim, and took a big gulp. “Tastes pretty good.”

Better than any hangover tea he’d had before.

Without hesitation, he said, “Next time I drink too much, have Aunt Yu brew some more for me.”

Yin En Yu’s eyes flickered, her tone light as she asked, “Are you saying you plan to drink heavily often?”

Does he think he has an indestructible body?

“Since no one’s looking after me now, I’ll drink however I want,” He Yu Zhou declared righteously, his words carrying a hint of implication.

Yin En Yu understood immediately—he was hinting at her.

“Fine, then drink as much as you want,” Yin En Yu turned and got into the car. “If you end up in the hospital, don’t come complaining to me.”He Yuzhou’s smile deepened, wisely knowing when to stop. “Better drink less, afraid someone might get angry.”

Otherwise, he’d have to be the one to comfort her.

Yin Enyu pretended not to understand his implication and urged him to get in the car. “Are you taking me or not? I’m going to be late.”

“Who would dare say anything if you’re late?” He Yuzhou leisurely closed the car door for her.

Yin Enyu said, “I don’t want to keep Tangtang waiting.”

He Yuzhou fastened his seatbelt and started the car. “You’re quite considerate toward your friends.”

Yin Enyu glanced at him. Was he implying she wasn’t considerate enough toward him?
