I’m motivated now!
Yosh!

“I’m home,” Jack said as he closed the door behind him, stepping into his house.
Sasha, who had been operating her phone while sitting on the couch with her legs on a stool a few metres away, raised her head and turned to him with a smile.
“Huh? You’re home too—” Her smile froze as her brows furrowed, staring at him.
Standing up, she approached him, staring in concern.
“What happened?” she asked.
“Nothing,” Jack replied, forcing a smile.
“Nothing?” Sasha folded her arms under her bosom, staring at him in concern.
“Tuesday you were like this; I decided to ignore it. But today… Are you doing drugs, Jack?”
Jack stared at her with wide eyes.
“Why would you ask that?”
“I don’t know, ’cause I care?” Sasha said with a shrug.
Then she placed both hands on his shoulders, staring at him seriously.
“Jack… I know that because of work, I might not have been having time for you, but just know, you can tell me anything that’s bothering you.”
Jack shook his head.
“Nothing’s bothering me, Sasha. I just feel a little bit sick. That’s why I took a leave from school and came back home.”
Sasha stared at him for a long time before she sighed—a sigh filled with frustration and resignation.
“Ok, I won’t pester you. But if you really are doing drugs, tell me, ok?” she asked.
“I will,” Jack replied.
“I’ll go take my bath then.”
Watching Jack’s figure as he walked upstairs, Sasha sighed, rubbing her temples.

Jack closed his eyes, letting the cold water spread through his body, from his head to his chest to his legs.
The image of the dead Flaxans—some without limbs, some headless, and others cut in half—appeared in his mind, bringing about the need to vomit, but Jack neither vomited nor opened his eyes.
Some might call him weak; others might call him pathetic.
The Flaxans clearly weren’t human, but yet…
Jack clenched his fist.
With all these new powers, he was still, three days ago, a college student—one who still struggled with math, laughed with a few friends, and felt aggrieved when a professor shouted at him…
he was not a serial killer.
The number of animals he had killed in his entire life, though it couldn’t be counted on two hands, still didn’t reach the hundreds.
Yet ever since he reincarnated into this world, he had been killing…
they weren’t human, but they were people.
‘…Can I really adapt?’ Jack thought and sighed, switching off the shower.
Wiping his body dry with a towel, Jack dressed and headed downstairs.
Sasha was already whipping up lunch.
The TV was on, and on it, a reporter sitting behind a brown desk talked calmly, her voice filled with grief and sorrow.
“…They may be gone, but the seven guardians of the globe will forever remain in our hearts. To honor their sacrifice, officials have declared tomorrow a global day of mourning, with all non-essential services closed worldwide for their burial.”
Sasha kept the lunch on the table and turned to the television, clenching her fist.
“They were really the best superheroes… I pray the one who did this to them gets brought to justice,” Sasha said.
Then she sighed and smiled, “Fortunately, we have the Seven. Come on, Jack, let’s eat.”
Jack stared at the television for a while before he walked to the dining table, but just as he was about to sit down, he heard a buzz from upstairs.
Jack turned to Sasha.
“I’m coming. I forgot to switch off the shower.”
Sasha tore her gaze from the television and stared at him before nodding.
“Ok.”
Jack walked upstairs and into his room.
Removing his hidden supe suit, he took a small earpiece from it and tapped it once.
“Yeah,” Jack replied.
The other side was silent for a few seconds before Eve’s voice came again.
“You wanna come?”
Jack raised an eyebrow.
“I’m invited?”
“Yeah. Robot said Cecil wants to meet you,” Eve said.
‘Cecil…’ Jack frowned slightly.
The name and the man disgusted him thoroughly.
“I’m sorry. I’ll watch from my home,” Jack said.
“Ok. I’ll tell Robot.”
The earpiece let out a beep, and Jack kept it back in his suit, going downstairs.
Sasha sat in the dining room, absentmindedly eating her food.
As Jack sat down, she raised her head and stared at him.
“Tomorrow’s a world-wide break, right?” Jack asked as he ate his food.
“Mhm,” Sasha nodded in reply.
“Then let’s go out after the funeral. Just the two of us,” Jack said as he stared at Sasha with a smile.
“I want to bond more with my elder sister.”

The next day.
The air in, not only The City but the entire world felt gloomier, all of the news channel around the world showed one thing—The funeral of The Seven Guardians of The Globe.
Jack and Sasha watched the funeral from their home, watching as heroes filled the seat, as the families and friends of the Guardians Of The Globe cried their wails echoing through the area and how Omni-man dropped from the sky and gave his speech—A speech filled with grief yet passion.
Sasha let out sobs as tears stream down her face but Jack watched coldly as Omni-man gave his speech.
‘ You act like you didn’t kill them…’ Jack thought as his fist clenched, ‘ …You really deserve death”
