Shen Youchu paused for a moment. She glanced at the Bullish Gentleman in front of her, biting back a smile as she said,

“Alright, alright—Bullish Gentleman it is. Lead the way. I’ll take a look inside.”

“Please, Master.” The Bullish Gentleman made a courteous inviting gesture and led Shen Youchu into the golden hall.Full novel: The Capitalist Heiress Takes Trillions to Follow the Army — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Inside, the palace was dazzlingly luxurious—carved dragons and painted phoenixes everywhere, magnificent and opulent. On both sides of the main entrance stood two glittering golden “fortune trees,” even the soil and leaves made of gold.

Shen Youchu blinked, looking like she had never seen the world before, and asked the Bullish Gentleman beside her:

“Th-those two trees… are they really made of pure gold?”

“Of course. 24-karat gold, no deception,” he replied respectfully.

Shen Youchu nodded and said nothing more, continuing deeper inside.

The first level of the hall was otherwise empty, except for a massive golden bull statue placed in the center.

Seeing her slight disappointment, the Bullish Gentleman stepped forward to explain:

“Master, the first level is mainly for storage. You may deposit any external items into this space at will—it functions primarily as a warehouse system.”

“I see. Not bad,” Shen Youchu replied.

She then walked up to the second level.

Unlike the first floor, the second level was completely different. Floating in mid-air were four colored orbs—white, blue, purple, and gold. Inside each orb was a scroll.

Shen Youchu looked puzzled.

“Sir, what are these?”

The Bullish Gentleman smiled and waved his hand. A blue interface panel appeared before her.

“Master, the second level is the gacha system. Each orb contains various rewards such as life skills, academic knowledge, futuristic medicines, and advanced technologies.”

“As long as you accumulate the equivalent value of one ton of gold and invest it into the Bullish Plus Space’s development, you will receive one draw opportunity.”

“The four colors correspond to four rarity tiers—white is common, gold is the highest legendary tier, and the others fall in between.”

“Please note: any materials invested into space development will be consumed by the system. You will no longer retain ownership. No refunds after investment.”

Shen Youchu gave a thumbs-up and immediately headed to the third level.

Although the second level was tempting, it wasn’t very useful for her right now.

The third level was an endless stretch of farmland—but unlike ordinary fields, the soil here was golden.

The Bullish Gentleman, unusually proactive, began explaining before she even asked:

“Master, this third level is the spirit farmland system. All grains, fruits, vegetables, and medicinal herbs from the outside world can be planted here, with a 50% growth acceleration effect.”

“If irrigated with spiritual spring water, growth can be boosted up to 99.99%—harvest in a single day is not a dream.”

He waved his hand again, bringing up a blue shop interface.

“You may also purchase spirit tree seeds from the store.”

“Is it really that magical?” Shen Youchu said excitedly.

This function was extremely useful to her right now. However, in the shop she could only see three types of spirit tree seeds: Recovery Fruit, Clone Fruit, and Element Fruit. The rest were marked with question marks.

And all of them were extremely expensive—the cheapest still required one ton of gold.

In this space, it truly felt like money was never enough.

So expensive…

Shen Youchu closed the shop panel and looked around. She couldn’t find any further upward entrance.

Satisfied, she nodded.

“Although there are only three levels, it’s already enough for me to establish myself.”

The Bullish Gentleman waved his hand.

“Not quite, Master. Your current space level is Level One, so only three levels are unlocked.”

“The Bullish Plus Space has a total of fifteen levels. Each upgrade unlocks three additional levels along with corresponding shop privileges.”

“Once you reach the maximum Level Five, that will be the complete Bullish Plus Space.”

“I see,” Shen Youchu nodded thoughtfully.

Seeing there was nothing more to explore, she left the space with a thought.

She casually picked up a comb from the dressing table and brushed her hair. The spatial ability was powerful, but the cost of upgrading was a major issue.

If she wanted to become a top-tier powerhouse in this world, making money would be her top priority.

After thinking for a long time, she put down the comb.

“It seems… my first pot of gold will have to come from the Shen family.”

……

The next morning.

“Brother Huaiyu, the situation at our factory is getting worse. We can’t delay Youchu’s matter any longer.”

Zhang Cuihua handed a peeled egg to Zong Huaiyu with a bitter expression.

During past wars, the Shen family had sacrificed wealth and lives generously, earning themselves the “red capitalist” label. During the public-private partnership era, their electric cable factory retained six percent of its shares, and many of their shops were preserved.

Thanks to this favorable political reputation, the Shen family had enjoyed smooth prosperity for years.

But after Shen Youchu’s biological mother passed away, their preferential treatment gradually declined. Authorities increasingly ignored Zong Huaiyu—it had become so bad that he couldn’t even find the right office for help.

With recent policy tightening and a growing crackdown on capitalists, the Shen family factory now faced the risk of liquidation.

This made Zhang Cuihua restless, and naturally, Zong Huaiyu wasn’t doing any better. The reason they were so eager to marry Shen Youchu off to Fu Bodao was because his uncle held a high position in the Red Committee and could help the Shen family survive this crisis.

At that moment, Shen Youchu came downstairs and overheard every word.

She wasn’t surprised. She had already guessed that these two old foxes weren’t pushing her into marriage just for her two “sisters.”

Zong Huaiyu noticed her and quickly nudged Zhang Cuihua, lowering his voice:

“I told you many times—watch your mouth.”

Zhang Cuihua pouted, feeling wronged, just about to enjoy breakfast—

Suddenly, she felt a chill run down her scalp.

“Ow—what the—are you trying to kill me?!”

Shen Youchu grabbed her by the hair and yanked her out of her seat.

“You should be dead. A mere maid, and you think you’re allowed to sit at the table and eat?”

Then she punched Zhang Cuihua in the stomach.

“Spit it all out. You’re not eating any of this.”

Zong Huaiyu, who had just taken a bite of egg, nearly choked to death on the spot. He forced himself to swallow it, his face turning red, and shouted:

“You—you crazy woman! What are you doing first thing in the morning?! Do you want to be sent to a mental hospital?!”

Zhang Cuihua was on the ground clutching her stomach, retching uncontrollably, unable to say a word.

SMACK!

A sharp slap rang out.

Zong Huaiyu, a middle-aged man just waking up and still disoriented, was sent spinning by Shen Youchu’s lightning-fast strike.

“From now on, if I’m not at the dining table, anyone who dares to eat will be hung from the garden tree for a day and a night. Remember this: in the Shen family, my rules are the rules.”

She didn’t even spare them a glance. Turning around, she ordered Aunt Yang to clear the breakfast and prepare a new one.
