No morning assembly.

Dhruv stretched as he stepped onto the balcony.

Children were already playing downstairs.

He smiled.

“Peace…” A voice interrupted.

“Peace ended.” Urvi walked in holding a laundry basket.

“I need groceries.” Dhruv sighed dramatically.

“There it is.” — Scene 2 – The Group Chat Deep had created a new group the previous night.

🎬 Sunrise Squad Deep: Movie at 3 PM.

Don’t be late.

Alya: Please ignore his excessive excitement.

Mitsuri: Looking forward to it 😊 Dhruv: Which movie?

Five minutes passed.

Deep: …I forgot to choose.

Dhruv laughed.

Urvi looked over his shoulder.

“Your friend is an idiot.” “He knows.” — Scene 3 – Outside the Mall By 2:45 PM…

Everyone had reached Ahmedabad One Mall.

Deep wore a black hoodie.

Alya wore a simple blue top and jeans.

Mitsuri wore a light pink kurti with white leggings.

Dhruv arrived in a plain white T-shirt and black jeans.

Deep looked at him.

“Bro.” “What?” “You dress like an NPC.” Dhruv looked down.

“These are clothes.” “Exactly.” Mitsuri quietly giggled.

“I think it suits him.” Deep held his chest dramatically.

“My own teammate…” — Scene 4 – Tickets Deep reached the ticket counter.

“Five tickets.” The employee replied, “Only four seats together.” Everyone looked at each other.

Deep smiled.

“Easy.” “Me and Alya together.” “Dhruv and Mitsuri together.” Dhruv looked at him.

“You planned this.” “I would never.” Alya looked at the employee.

“We’ll take them.” Deep gave Alya a grateful look.

She whispered, “I just wanted the queue to move.” — Scene 5 – Popcorn Inside the theatre…

Deep carried a mountain of snacks.

Dhruv looked confused.

“Are you feeding the audience?” “I’m supporting the economy.” Mitsuri laughed.

She looked at the popcorn counter.

“Oh…” “They have caramel popcorn.” “You like caramel?” She nodded.

“It’s my favorite.” Dhruv quietly remembered it.

Without saying anything.

— Scene 6 – During the Movie The lights dimmed.

The movie began.

Deep laughed louder than everyone.

Alya occasionally told him to lower his voice.

Halfway through…

A funny scene appeared.

Mitsuri laughed so hard that tears formed in her eyes.

Dhruv glanced at her for a second.

Then smiled.

He returned his attention to the screen.

— Scene 7 – Evening Walk After the movie…

The five walked around the mall.

Deep pointed toward an arcade.

“One game.” Alya sighed.

“You said that three games ago.” “This one is important.” “Why?” “I almost won.” “You lost by sixty points.” “It was strategic.” Everyone laughed.

— Scene 8 – Unexpected Encounter Near the bookstore…

Dhruv suddenly heard a familiar voice.

“Dhruv?” He turned.

“Rohan?” Rohan stood there with his parents.

“I didn’t expect to see you here.” Dhruv smiled.

“Weekend.” Rohan noticed the group.

“So these are your friends?” Dhruv nodded.

After a short conversation…

Rohan’s parents called him.

“See you Monday.” “See you.” As Rohan walked away…

Deep leaned closer.

“Your academic rival.” “He seems nice.” “He is.” “No anime rivalry speeches?” “No.” Deep looked disappointed.

— Scene 9 – Sunset Before heading home…

The group sat outside the mall.

The evening sky turned orange.

For a few minutes…

Nobody spoke.

Sometimes…

Silence between friends felt comfortable.

Mitsuri looked around.

Deep and Alya were quietly sharing fries.

Dhruv was watching children play with a football nearby.

He seemed completely relaxed.

Very different from the serious student in class.

She smiled without realizing it.

Dhruv noticed.

“What?” She blinked.

“Nothing.” He shrugged.

“Okay.” — Scene 10 – Another Page Night.

Mitsuri opened her journal.

> June 16 Today we watched a movie together.

Deep is as loud outside school as he is inside school.

Alya keeps pretending she gets annoyed…

But I think she enjoys it.

Dhruv doesn’t talk much.

Yet being around him feels comfortable.

He smiles more than people probably notice.

Today was fun.

She closed the journal and placed it back inside the drawer.

Outside, the weekend slowly came to an end.

On Monday…

Life at Devison High School would begin moving a little faster.
