Although the continent of Aegisor appeared to the world as a single land…

The truth was entirely different.

Deep within its heart, three great races shared the land, drawing its history with their own blood and turning magic into a language that differed from one people to another.Full novel: The Curse of the Eyes — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

First among them were the Humans.

A race known neither for physical strength nor longevity, but for minds that never ceased to search and discover.

Humans saw magic as a science to be developed; they founded countless academies and crafted intricate spells, becoming the most diverse race in the magical arts.

However, the power of humans relied on a semi-pure mana—an energy in perfect harmony with most types of magic, yet one that recoiled from curses and dark magic, as if refusing to carry such darkness within its core.

As for the Elves, they had lived since the dawn of history among the sacred forests, witnessing the passing of eras with a patience unknown to humans.

The mana flowing through their veins was of the utmost purity and clarity.

Because of this, they excelled in supportive magic and reached the pinnacle of mastery in healing magic, until their ability to save souls became a legend across the continent.

On the opposite side…

Where only shadows could reach, lived the Demons.

Beings born with a bleak mana, carrying a nature inherently different from all other races.

To them, curses were not a forbidden art, but a natural extension of their power, just as dark magic flowed through their bodies the way blood flows through the veins of humans.

For this reason, each race walked a path that the others could not tread.

The Humans expanded the boundaries of magic.

The Elves preserved its purity.

And the Demons…

nourished its dark side.

As centuries passed, the conflict between them was no longer just a rivalry over power or land; it became a clash between three different visions of what power itself truly meant.

Yet…

These races were not the greatest entities to inhabit Aegisor.

For high in the heavens, deep within the earth, and among the unseen currents of mana, there existed beings older than kingdoms and far more majestic than armies…

Beings whose mere existence was enough to alter the entire course of wars.
