But the peace that Aegisor enjoys today…
Was not a gift granted by time.
Rather, it was the heavy price paid by the continent after drowning in one of its darkest eras.
Long centuries ago, a war broke out—the likes of which history had never known.
A war ignited not by a single kingdom, nor a single race; instead, its fires engulfed the entire continent, until the sky saw nothing but pillars of smoke, and the earth heard nothing but the cries of the dying.
Three hundred years…
Three whole centuries, during which Aegisor knew nothing but conflict.
Cities were built only to be demolished, and kingdoms were born only to vanish, while the green plains turned into vast graveyards where corpses were countless, and the victor could no longer be distinguished from the defeated.
The Humans entered the war with all the magical arts they had innovated.
The Elves defended their sacred forests until their very last breath.
As for the Demons, they unleashed their curses until their shadows shrouded immense expanses of the continent.
And the Dragons and Spirits did not stand idly by.
For when the balance of the world tilted, those mythical forces were compelled to join the battle as well.
Though their numbers were few, every fall of a dragon, or disappearance of a great spirit, was an irreplaceable loss—as if a piece of the world’s own soul had been extinguished forever.
As the years rolled on…
No one fought for victory anymore.
Instead, everyone fought merely for survival.
Aegisor drew closer to a moment where life itself could no longer endure, and the civilizations that took thousands of years to build were on the verge of turning into ash carried away by the wind.
And just when it seemed that the world had reached its absolute end…
A glimmer of hope emerged, one that no one had anticipated.
A hope that would finally put an end to three centuries of bloodshed…
And change the fate of the continent forever.
