AYLA

Lycan King Ezra sat on his mighty Lycan throne, a deadly look that could send one into an eternity of pain gleaming in his eyes. His entire appearance was dark and intimidating, down to the black clothes he wore.

The fear that had taken tenancy in my body doubled, tripled even. He rose to his feet, and shivers travelled through my entire being, the weight of the Lycan aura he exuded crushing my chest with unbearable suffocation.Full novel: The Cursed Lycan King Accidentally Marked The Wrong Sister — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

His boots were heavy against the marble floor as he marched towards me.

"You!" he growled, and I could see the vibration in his chest. "You dare infect me with the moon curse."

Oh, that. It was just to buy me time to escape, and...

His next words cut through my thoughts. "Leaving you in that room was an act of benevolence. But you do not deserve such mercy, and until I find a way to safely break the bond and kill you without affecting the beast within me, you’ll be taken to the dungeon, where you’ll rot until the end of your time!" he growled dangerously.

My eyes snapped even wider, my heart beating rapidly against my ribcage, threatening to tear through bone and flesh.

I had only lied to stop him from forcing himself on me. But now, it seemed the only way to save myself from being locked inside a dungeon was to tell the truth. Mora. If I was taken to that dungeon, then that would be the end for me.

I would never see the light of day again, and I could never...

"I lied!" I screamed, tears stinging my eyes as frustration claimed me. "I don’t have the moon curse."

"Of course, I knew you would lie about it now. Last night, I got tested, and it was positive," he revealed, his eyes dancing with a promise to make me suffer. "But unlike werewolves, Lycan kings have extraordinarily fast immune systems that can eliminate the active curse within hours. I am clear of the virus, but its antibodies remain, protecting me from further infections. But you, on the other hand, a wolfless cunt like you, will rot from the inside out."

His jaw clenched as he turned his attention towards the guards. "Take her to the dungeon. Now!"

"No, please!" I screamed desperately, my body jerking with confusion. "If you have the moon curse, then I wasn’t the one who gave it to you. I do not have the moon curse. I have never had sex before in my life."

Rowan and I had wanted to wait until marriage. At the thought of him, a wave of betrayal hit my chest, a jarring pain fisting my ribs and twisting them violently.

"You claim to be a virgin. No man has ever filled your rotten cunt before," he said, his eyes glowering as he degraded me. "And besides, it could also be transmitted through blood."

Rotten cunt? Rage boiled up within me. But this was no time to defend how fresh my pussy was. I was about to be sent somewhere I could never crawl out of, and I had to save my own life.

"If you do not believe me, you can test it for yourself!" I blurted before I could even stop myself. "And I have never shared blood with anyone."

Something flickered across his face.

His gaze dropped to my lips, lingering there for several torturous seconds. The rage in his expression remained, but there was something else beneath it now. Something hot and unsettling.

"Then open wide!"

Those three words slammed into me, stuffing my lungs and blocking my air supply.

My eyes widened in shock. "I-I did not mean it like that."

Heat rushed beneath my skin despite myself. My pussy involuntarily throbbed and I sucked in a sharp breath to control myself.

What the hell was wrong with me?

His nostrils flared again, and his fingers curled into a fist at his side as though he was fighting the urge to do something.

Then his expression hardened.

He turned away from me so abruptly that it almost seemed like an escape.

"Take her away," he said with a simple wave of his hand.

"No. Please!" I screamed in desperation, squirming and kicking, trying to set myself free. But the guards only tightened their hands around me.

"Keep shut, werewolf bitch!" one of them groaned.

They dragged me into the dark, eerie dungeon, the stench of urine, feces, and everything disgusting making its way into my nostrils and almost knocking me out.

Minutes, then hours went by, and I was left alone in the disgusting dungeon. I screamed at the top of my lungs, hoping someone, anyone, would hear me and come save me, but my screams, no matter how loud they were, came bouncing back from the cold stone walls.

At some point, a nurse came in, escorted by the guards, to take my blood sample before leaving me all alone again.

Pain and frustration overwhelmed me, and I dropped to my knees, hot tears streaming down my cheeks. My life kept getting worse and worse without any hope of relief. First, I was accused of stabbing my sister and taking her place as the Luna Queen. I hadn’t even been able to vindicate myself of that crime, and now I was being accused of infecting the Lycan King with the moon curse. I hoped the blood they had taken would be tested and I would finally be free again.

Lord, please. Save me.

The familiar heat returned again. This time, it roared more violently than the last. My entire body began to convulse from the intensity, and I couldn’t breathe.

"Please..." My voice came out as a broken whisper. But I knew no one was going to save me.

My body throbbed violently, and I could feel life being snuffed out of me. I could feel myself losing consciousness.

Maybe. Just maybe, the afterlife would be fairer to me, I thought as my eyes glazed over. And before I succumbed to the darkness that claimed me, I saw a figure that resembled the Lycan King.

...

My body ached severely. I could barely move. I managed to stir, and that was when I felt the lush surface beneath my skin.

This wasn’t the cold dungeon floor. I was on a bed. My eyes fluttered open immediately.

I looked around. I was in a very large room themed in grey and black, lying on a massive California king-sized bed. My nostrils caught the scent that dominated the room.

I couldn’t mistake the heavenly scent of pine and earth. I was in the Lycan King’s room.

He had banished me to my ruin in the darkness of that dungeon, and now I was lying on his bed.

Before I could process what was happening, the door opened, and a blonde female Lycan walked in, opening the white robe wrapped around her and revealing the red lingerie beneath it.

The bright smile she had flashed quickly faded when she saw me lying on his bed. I bet she had thought it was King Ezra.

"And who are you?" she growled, her canines slipping out, obvious jealousy contorting her features.

"I should be the one asking that question." I slowly sat up, ignoring the throbbing ache that seared through my head. "I am Alpha Ezra’s mate. Who are you?"

"Oh." A smirk touched her lips as she folded her arms across her chest. "It’s you. The whore. I had expected to see something better, and not this..." She eyed me from head to toe. "What happened to your hair? Did you start greying early?"

"You are Alpha Ezra’s mistress, I presume," I muttered, and for some reason, a pang of pain and jealousy hit my chest at the thought of that.

Could it be that he was with her last night, and that was why the pain became unbearable? But I had seen him just before I lost consciousness, or was that only a hallucination?

Before she could reply, the door burst open, and Alpha Ezra marched inside, his suffocating aura spreading across the room.

My traitorous body immediately became aware of him.

"Oh, Ezra," Blondie Witch screeched, the frown on her face melting into a sugary smile.

"Sabrina," he breathed, but he barely spared her a glance before shooting his deadly gaze at me.

"What are you still doing here? Get out!" he growled terrifyingly.

My gaze dropped to the ground, and I didn’t utter a word as I scurried out of the room. This might finally be my chance to escape. He had coldly chased me out of his room after I somehow ended up there.

Behind the glee of finally escaping was a terrifying jealousy over what he might be doing with Sabrina now that they were alone.

I hated that I cared.

I hated even more that some primitive part of me wanted to march back into that room and remind Sabrina that, whether I wanted him or not, Ezra was my mate.

Anyway, I was finally leaving this place, and I wouldn’t look back.

Every hope I had crumbled when I stepped outside and saw guards waiting for me outside the room. But what genuinely made me stop dead in my tracks was the face of the person approaching, a playful smile on his face.

"Hi, Calista. Nice to finally meet you." He extended a hand for a handshake.

He was the spitting image of King Ezra. To say I was confused was an understatement.
