The Little Merman in the Apocalypse 19

The man walked ahead with an easy, unhurried stride, occasionally pausing to let Su Luo catch up. He seemed exceptionally familiar with the hospital’s layout.

Su Luo’s palms were sweaty from gripping too tightly, once again catching that faint sense of unease in his intuition.Full novel: The Cute Little Beauty is Always on the Bad Man’s Mind — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

At the second-floor corner.

The medical record book he had accidentally dropped was gone. Who had picked it up?

It seemed there had never been a mention of Z’s appearance…

They passed an open operating room.

The walls outside were stained with blood and chemicals, turning them a grim and somber gray.

Where the shadowless lamp should have been, only a few broken bulbs remained, casting a faint glow.

Inside, some indistinct objects hung upside down, swaying in the wind, densely packed, with black hair still dripping something.

Su Luo widened his eyes to see the long objects hanging from the ceiling, clad in what appeared to be doctors’ white coats.

A thick iron chain pierced through their leg bones, reminiscent of meat being cured in some places during the New Year.

Hung up to dry.

Su Luo’s steps halted, feeling his body grow colder, his breathing becoming increasingly labored.

“Zhou Yu, this room is so strange.”

In the dim light.

Divided by the bridge of his nose, half of the man’s face was hidden in shadow, while the other half looked at Su Luo with a slightly gentle gaze.

“Hmm? No, it’s quite normal, isn’t it?”

After speaking, Zhou Yu placed a hand on Su Luo’s shoulder, helping him turn on a backup light to see more clearly.

All color drained from Su Luo’s face, as if fear had gripped his heart, leaving him utterly cold.

Inside, the room was packed with… a mix of doctors’ and players’ corpses, with only a few females among them, the rest all male.

The sheer number nearly filled the entire room.

Recalling that group photo, it seemed the entire hospital’s doctors were here, neatly arranged.

Su Luo’s legs went weak, cold sweat breaking out all over, his throat filled with a shaky tremor.

“Zhou Yu, I suddenly remembered they might be meeting at another location, quite far from this hospital. I need to leave…”

The man’s handsome face remained impassive, listening to the boy’s hastily concocted excuse.

His voice was neither loud nor soft, low and gentle in tone.

“Is that so? But all this time, you’re the first friend I’ve met. I want to show you my collection of artworks.”

As if fearing the boy’s refusal, he added, “You’ll definitely like it.”

The hand on Su Luo’s shoulder was as cold as jade, the veins visible beneath the skin.

It seemed relaxed and casual, yet a force held him firmly, preventing escape.

The boy’s face turned pale, frightened to the point of tears.

His eyes were brimming with moisture, looking increasingly pitiful.

“Please… Zhou Yu, I’ll come back next time, okay?”

The man’s fingertips brushed over the boy’s lips, marked with teeth imprints. His eyes were a light color, carrying a cold, indifferent air, as if nothing before him could catch his interest.

The man chuckled softly, seeing through Su Luo’s thoughts.

“Little liar, if I let you go, you’ll never come back.”

Zhou Yu had no interest in maintaining the facade of a kind older brother, his cold eyes mixed with a hint of darkness, fixed on the trembling boy.

His long gray hair fell in strands across Su Luo’s face. Just as Su Luo was about to brush it aside, a blood-red flower bloomed on his shoulder.

“Oh, not bad, you actually dared to shoot.”

But the boy was too nervous, so the shot missed by a few inches from Zhou Yu’s heart.

“Don’t come any closer, or else…”

The rest of his words were swallowed by the man’s crazed demeanor.

Zhou Yu pressed his cool fingertips against his wound, pushing down hard, showing no sign of pain.

He deliberately licked the blood from his fingertips in front of the boy, as if savoring the taste of his own blood.

“You’re Z, that terrifying madman!”

Zhou Yu’s lips curled into a wicked smile, his beauty so enchanting it could bewitch anyone.

“Smart, you guessed right.”

Su Luo’s hand holding the gun trembled uncontrollably, like a frightened kitten, eyes red with fear, yet stubbornly trying to intimidate the other.

“Back off, let me go.”

Unexpectedly, Zhou Yu moved closer, pressing his chest against the boy’s gun through a thin sweater.

“Then show me how you’ll kill me, shoot!”

Su Luo silently faced him for a few seconds, pulling the trigger, only to hear a click.

He tried again, but it was still empty.

Suddenly realizing a neglected issue—there were no bullets left.

Zhou Yu, with his stunning appearance, laughed until he bent over.

He spoke each word with deliberate seriousness, his affectionate tone like a lover’s whisper.

Yet his words were cruel.

“Such a cute little guy, you’ll become my most perfect collection piece.”

The air in the room was stifling, carrying a nauseating stench of decay.

A sharp surgical knife lay across the boy’s throat, ready to cut with the slightest slip.

Su Luo was forced to move inside.

His gaze fixed on the center of the room—a blood-stained operating table.

Covered with a bloody sheet, it was easy to imagine how many bodies had once lain there.

The walls were lined with various strange medical tools, the sharp needles and serrated blades too terrifying to look at for long.

More unsettling was the familiar chainsaw piled in a corner.

The jagged blade sharp enough to easily sever his neck.

On the small cabinet beside the bed, several shattered glass bottles remained, with some dried-up liquid inside.

Zhou Yu frowned and sighed, as if in a dilemma.

“Sorry, the anesthetic is all gone. You’ll have to bear with it a bit.”

Su Luo couldn’t help but cry out, “You madman.”

The bloody room was filled with glass jars of various sizes, containing different human organs.

The source was naturally the people hanging upside down from the ceiling outside.

The boy’s hands and feet were bound to the operating table, waiting for the slaughter.

Zhou Yu changed into a clean white dust-free suit, putting on white gloves.

He hummed a tune cheerfully, the clear notes paired with his superior looks were deceptively charming.

To the unfamiliar, he might seem like a gentle, beautiful older brother.
