After threatening Katsuki, Sukuna spent most of his time reading the poetry of this world, which wasn’t too different from his own.

He hadn’t read any modern works, since this reality was much more advanced in terms of technology than his past life’s, but read “classical” works like Shakespeare and other such poets.

He also spent most of his time refining either his Quirk, or his Cursed Energy control.Full novel: The Double-faced Specter — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He found a neat trick, which strengthened his Quirk to absurd degrees.

When he enhanced the inner muscles of his throat, the place where his flames gather before he spews them from his mouth, he had found out that he could enhance the flames themselves with this method, changing the size of his fire breathing from a respectable thin line to an apartment-sized fireball.

Flipping through the contents of the poem that he was reading on his phone, Sukuna continued to think about his progress.

He was still physically only a teenager at this stage, but he wasn’t so weak as to be helpless against the strong in this world anymore.

Neither was Izuku.

Whenever his brother came to him for help on training, he had either beaten his ass – Izuku wasn’t a great combatant, but his adaptability was admirable – or helped his brother think up of another support item that could help him in his journey towards heroics.

Speaking of, he had found support items fascinating, since they were this reality’s equivalent of a Cursed Tool.

Except it was made by pure technology, which made him curious to no end.

He wanted to know how to craft one, and to get that knowledge, he either had to become an engineer in this world or be a student of a famous man called David Shield.

David Shield was a man whom Sukuna respected, since he had crafted All Might’s suit and earlier support gear.

Those who do not value craftsman are fools, in his opinion, since craftsman was an art in its own way.

Sukuna loved art, loved archery and most important of all loved poetry, which he continued to read.

He had gotten a basic grasp on most of the “classical” poets, but diving deeper was just a waste of time that he could use to refine his Quirk and Cursed Techniques even further.

Still, it was a fun hobby to have.

He had also started training his body much more harshly, now that he was 15 and about to take the U.A.

Entrance Exam.

Yes, you’ve heard him right.

He was going to be a hero in this world, ironically enough.

The job of a hero paid well enough to let Inko live comfortably for the rest of her life, so it was a no-brainer for Sukuna, who thrived off of combat and other aspects of heroics.

What he lacked in heroism, he could make up for with raw power.

Speaking of physical training, he had been training his body with a basic schedule at first, before slowly but surely making it harsher and more difficult.

He had also included Izuku, since his younger brother was now 13, meaning he could do well for himself if he wasn’t so scrawny anymore.

Since U.A.

was built in Musutafu itself, that meant that Sukuna didn’t need to do more than just walk to the exam site.

Speaking of Izuku’s physical training, he had the boy clean up the beach that they trained in, since that would build him a solid and athletic physique.

Sukuna didn’t need to clean it up, as he already planned to leave it to Izuku, and only did push-ups, pull-ups and went to a nearby Quirk gym that helped with his improvements quickly.

While Quirk gyms in here discriminated against the Quirkless, a fact that left him deeply unsatisfied, he still used one to progress even further.

Once he became a hero, he was going to change this society’s views on Quirkless people.

Those plans were too far out in the future, so he focused back on the present, where his journey towards heroism would begin.

Looking at the massive, H-shaped building of U.A, Sukuna couldn’t help but admire the way that the gardens and trees around him were maintained.

It kind of reminded him of the beauty of nature back in the Heian Era, where humanity didn’t pollute its atmosphere with their factories yet.

Admiring the scenery was well and all, but he was taken out of his thoughts when a firm hand landed on his shoulder, making him turn to look at whoever it was.

Standing behind him was a tall, blond boy with a smile so full of confidence and conviction that it nearly blinded Sukuna.

He recovered from his initial blindness, speaking in an annoyed tone: “Couldn’t say hello the normal way, Togata?” “Don’t be like that, Suku-chan!

I just wanted to surprise you.

Oh, I convinced Tamaki to take the exam as well.” He replied, his smile turning into a grin, as he gave Sukuna a thumbs-up.

“Really?

Good for him.

His quirk has a ton of potential, I can’t wait to see it again.” Sukuna smiled, his tone full of interest and curiosity.

Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he walked past Mirio after realizing that time was running out.

“Come on, let’s not keep em waiting.” Mirio spoke, pumping his fist, as he walked alongside Sukuna.

Sukuna rolled his eyes, knowing that the taller boy was embarrassed by the fact that he forgot to check the time.

________________________ Once he sat down in the auditorium, Sukuna didn’t need to think about the written exam that he took, as it was laughably easy.

Well, easy except for the questions about heroics.

He had to think about them for a second, imagining what he would do in those scenarios, and writing down his answers.

The math question that they tried to trick him on was easier than taking candy from a toddler.

Letting those thoughts pass in his head, Sukuna got comfortable in his seat, as he crossed his arms and waited to see who would appear on the stage itself.

Sukuna also looked to his side, noticing the fact that Tamaki was sitting right besides him.

Greeting the shy boy with a simple “hello” and then returning his attention back to the auditorium was simple enough.

Suddenly, a tall, slender man with a tired expression walked onto the stage, his hand grabbing the microphone.

“Quiet.” He said in an equally exhausted tone, which impressed Sukuna to say the least.

“For your exam this year, you are going to be fighting three types of robots.

The one-pointer, two-pointer and three-pointers are all self explanatory.

They give one, two and three points each.

Don’t try to fight the fourth type, since that robot gives zero points.

That wasn’t a rule, just advice from a potential teacher to some that might pass here.” finished with his speech, the perpetually tired man…rolled off the stage.

Yes, he literally put himself in a bag and rolled off the stage to sleep somewhere.

It amused Sukuna to no end.

Focusing back on the exam, Sukuna was not excited to say the least.

Fighting robots was gonna be fun, but since this is a test and not actual combat, he doubted they would be strong enough to inflict fatal damage on someone here.

Finished with his thoughts, Sukuna stood up with the other applicants, walking off to the bus which would take him to the city he was supposed to fight these robots inside of.

Once he was inside of the bus, Sukuna noticed the fact that neither Mirio nor Tamaki was in his city block, which made sense.

Considering the fact that all three of them went to school at some point, the examiners most likely divided them to not give them an unfair teamwork advantage.

Sukuna walked out of the bus, still lost in thought, when he unconsciously avoided an applicant who tried to purposefully bump his shoulders.

The applicant in question blinked, looking at Sukuna with a surprised expression, before he shrugged and went back to threatening other applicants with his Quirk.

Just a day in the life, Sukuna mused, after noticing the boy in the corner of his eye.

Had he not trained his body so carefully, his reflexes would probably not have allowed him to avoid that bump.

He was once again taken out of his thoughts, when the doors – more like gates, really – opened up slowly.

Sukuna grinned, applying Cursed Energy to his feet, as he took off with an explosion of air beneath him, instantly accelerating him to subsonic speeds.

Continously channeling Cursed Energy, Sukuna reinforced his legs just enough to be able to completely blitz the other applicants, as none of them appeared to have a speed enhancing quirk of some sorts.

Sukuna wanted to have fun for a bit, before he ended this exam with a bang.

Racing across the city-block, Sukuna tore through any robot that came into view, not caring about their types or their strengths at all.

Unleashing Dismantle after Dismantle, Sukuna had fun for the first time in fifteen years since his defeat, as a laugh tore it’s way out of his mouth.

It started off as a low chuckle, before transforming into a full-on laugh that echoed through the city-block, unnerving some of the other applicants.

________________________ In the teachers’ observation room, multiple heroes-turned-teachers stood, while a mix of a bear and a rat sat down in the middle, his fur completely white and a terrible scar running over one of his eyes.

“This year’s bunch sure are wild, aren’t they?” spoke a certain tall, lanky blond man, a boombox standing right next to him for some reason.

“They are a bit..

disappointing, too.” said another one of the teachers, a man who looked to be made out of cement.

“Atleast those four look promising.” The woman who stated that licked her lips, her gaze locked onto 4 specific monitors.

One showed a naked blond, sliding across the ground before launching himself upwards at incredible speeds, either destroying a robot or saving another applicant from said robots.

The other showed a dark-haired boy, who turned his arms into tentacles, grabbing two applicants that were about to be hit by rubber bullets from a two-pointer, as he used those same tentacles to launch himself forward and smash the robots face in.

The second to last monitor showcased an absolute demon of a boy, who’s four eyes visibly glowed with sadistic joy and satisfaction, as he tore through the entire city-block, disintegrating any robot he came across.

The last monitor showed a girl who looked to be as cold as ice, her blue periwinkle hair flowing down her back, as she floated and blasted many robots across the city.

This year was gonna be a handful, that’s for sure.

“Well, let’s not keep them waiting, shall we?” stated the bear-like rodent, his grin turning sadistic, as he pressed on a large red button.

_________________________ Sukuna was having the time of his life, if he was being honest.

Finally being able to go all out for once in this damned new reality of his was so satisfying, so refreshing and so much more fun than before.

Grabbing a three-pointer by its head, he used his physical strength to tear its head off, throwing it to the side.

Following that, he grabbed the body of the three-pointer, using it like a bat to deflect the incoming barrage of rubber bullets that the two-pointers fired at him from the side.

Sending a dismantle their way, he’d turn his focus towards the last robot, a one-pointer, when the earth itself began to shake.

A titanic robot, the size of a skyscraper, suddenly filled Sukuna’s view, making his grin widen.

Abandoning the one-pointer, Sukuna decided to truly go all out against this big lump of junk.

The air itself exploded beneath him, launching him towards the zero pointer, as he grabbed it by his hand and used a low-output of Cleave and Dismantle to fulfill the conditions of his furnace.

Once he was done, he backed off towards a safe distance, his voice echoing throughout the now-deserted city block, as the applicants were too busy running away to watch him and the robot duke it out.

“◽, Fuga!” He yelled, his arms quickly forming the shape of an arrow, as he realized that the zero pointer was heading his way at an incredible speed.

Sukuna wasn’t done yet.

He reinforced his throat, before spewing out more flames from his mouth, adding it onto his own divine flames until it grew to the size of a house, comparable to the building right next to him.

Once he was satisfied, Sukuna’s grin turned absolutely feral, as he fired off the gigantic flaming arrow.

The entirety of the city-block was lit-up in an explosion so bright and destructive, that the shockwave from the destruction reached the other city-blocks.

Thankfully, the applicants had all fled from the city-block, leaving Sukuna and the zero pointer alone.

What was left of the zero pointer, however, was another matter entirely.

As the earthquakes and shockwave subsided, the entire city-block was turned into one gigantic crater.

The city-block that U.A used for testing it’s examineers was 4-6 regular city blocks wide, so the size of the crater and it’s depth was nothing to scoff at.

Sukuna was found sitting in the center of the crater itself, breathing heavily, as he had used up every ounce of his Quirk’s strength to power up his flaming arrow.

Satisfied with himself, Sukuna stood up, walking towards the small metal box, the leftovers of the now disintegrated zero pointer, picking it up and taking it for himself as a souvenir.

Sukuna paid no mind to the wide-eyed applicants that focused on him once he walked out of the crater, nor did he pay any attention to the gaping jaws of Mirio and Tamaki, who had rushed over to his city block alongside a girl with blue hair.

His satisfied smile, however, looked absolutely demonic to his audience, who shivered and let him pass by.

However..

“May the applicant, Midoriya Sukuna, make his way to the teachers observation room, please?” A voice shook him out of his thoughts.

He grunted in annoyance, already being guided by the same perpetually tired man, towards the observation room.

He’s an antisocial behemoth.
