"Supreme Attribute Magic, all types: Supreme Light Magic, Supreme Dark Magic, Supreme Body Enhancement Magic, Spirit Magic, Healing Magic, Spacetime Magic, Ancient Magic, various Non-Attribute Magic, Appraisal, Blacksmithing Skill: Level 100, Alchemy: Level 100, Compounding Skill: Level 100."

The "Skills" section had become something insane.

It was a real parade of "Supreme" this and "Supreme" that. According to God, "At this point, you're pretty much the strongest in the world, no question."Full novel: The Dungeon's Demon Lord is the Weakest — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Well, yeah. Of course. If I wasn't, then "Supreme" wouldn't be "Supreme." That's literally what it means.

Apparently, I could use Blacksmithing and Alchemy to create items that dropped in the dungeon. If God hadn't mentioned it, I probably would've forgotten entirely. Dungeons and treasure go hand in hand, after all. And of course, my levels were MAXED OUT!!

Fufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufu.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! No one can stand against me now!!

A Hero? Never heard of 'em—some small fry, probably. I'm a Demon Lord!! The world's strongest Sorcery King!!

............................................................

Okay, fine, I got carried away. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I'll apologize. Please don't look at me like that. This is so embarrassing. SO EMBARRASSING!!

And now my knowledge is just feeding me crap like "chuunibyou"1 and "dark past" as if it's adding insult to injury!!

I nursed a mild emotional wound, but the payoff was huge.

It felt like overkill when it came to self-defense. Still, having it was better than not. When push came to shove, waving a white flag didn't guarantee you'd be saved.

"Thank you, God. With this, I think I can actually make it," I said.

God replied, 'Mm-hmm. That's good to hear. It really does feel nice to be thanked. Usually, I just bestow blessings on silent souls—gets a bit dull, you know?'

"Wow... that sounds like being a factory worker manually stuffing fillings into meals coming down a conveyor belt," I muttered.

And the products were people's souls... How surreal.

I turned to God, excitement bubbling in my chest. "Hey, God, I want to test out my magic—is that okay?"

Forget all that—I wanted to try my magic. Ooh~!! I'm so excited~!!

But then, sounding slightly flustered, God stopped me.

'Hold on. Save the testing for a bigger room or do it on the surface.'

I blinked, confused. "What's wrong, God? You sound a little rushed."

God's voice carried an apologetic note. 'Well, actually, I can't interfere with the surface for that long. And I'm running out of time.'

"Wait—you mean I can't just talk to you whenever?" I asked, my voice rising.

I was stunned. That was what I'd assumed. If God disappeared, I'd be all alone here. That was too lonely. I actually kinda liked this God, y'know? Especially the childish parts.

God's tone softened. 'I'm glad you're sad to see me go. But even if it's just my voice, me manifesting on the surface for too long would cause major problems. In fact, right now, the 'Blood Tears of the Demon Lord' on the surface is probably experiencing a massive magical disaster. So it's about time we said goodbye. But before I go, I want to give you some advice.'

"I see..." I murmured, my voice trailing off.

Still lonely. But after everything they'd done for me, and the fact they were offering advice on top of that—I'd listen carefully. I'd treasure every last moment we had left.

God chuckled warmly. 'Heheh. No need to look so serious. In about a year, I should be able to talk to you for about five minutes or so. For now, let's talk about what you should do next.'

'First, I want you to build a dungeon that stretches all the way to the sea. This will serve two purposes: it'll split the surface into the True Continent and the Demon Continent, and more importantly, it'll secure the water you need to survive.'

"Ah, right. If I'm going to live here, securing water is a must. And food too, I guess..." I mused, scratching my chin.

Wait. How exactly was I supposed to get meat? Was I doomed to a vegetarian lifestyle forever? Or was I supposed to go wild and hunt for it?

God seemed to read my thoughts. 'Well, to be honest, since you're a Demon Lord now, you could survive without eating or drinking. But you'd still feel hungry and thirsty mentally. So you do need water.'

"Yeah, I get that. Even if someone told me I could go without, I wouldn't want to. Eat, drink, sleep—that's what makes life feel human," I said with a firm nod.

'Wow... what a total lost cause...'2 God sighed.

Yep. Didn't hear that. Didn't hear a thing.

God cleared their throat. 'Ahem. Anyway, setting that aside for now. Running a dungeon alone is tough, right? So, get yourself some companions. If you use the 'Summon' function in the app's 'Custom' menu, you'll find people willing to join you. Work together and do your best.'

I see. I'd noticed the "Summon" option in "Custom," but I didn't realize that's how it worked. I thought it was for summoning monsters to roam the dungeon.

God continued thoughtfully, 'Hmm, let's see... Oh! I also recommend visiting other towns. Knowing the currency and trade routes will help a lot, and if you earn money, you'll be rolling in it.'

Truth be told, I'd already been thinking about that.

No matter how strong I got or how much money I made, a life without girls was unbearable!

Towns have people. People mean girls. Girls mean beautiful women. If I didn't know about the summoning, I'd have gone looking for a town today.

But thinking about it now—wouldn't I look incredibly suspicious?

A school uniform, phone in hand, face barely holding back a grin.

Hm. I'm not sure why that came out in 5-7-5 syllables,3 but I'm sure I'll be fine if I just take off the uniform.

God's voice grew gentle. 'Alright, I'll give you one last present, and then I'll be off. Please don't overdo it, and take care of yourself. You're strong, but you never know what traps the world has in store.'

I smiled and nodded at God's words.

"God, thank you, truly. I know this whole thing kind of happened by accident, but I'll do my best to make sure as few people in this world die as possible!" I declared.

God replied warmly, 'Mm. Thank you too. May the life that begins today be full of joy and excitement. Well then, goodbye.'

––––––––––Oh crap, wai–no, hol–!"

Something about God's final voice set off alarm bells in the back of my mind.

Summary:

The protagonist reviews his absurdly overpowered skill set and indulges in a chuunibyou meltdown before immediately regretting it. God reveals their time on the surface is limited, leading to a heartfelt farewell and practical advice for survival. The chapter ends on an ominous note as God's final words are cut off mid-sentence, hinting at trouble.

Trivia:

The protagonist's "Skills" section contains every Supreme-class magic type including Spacetime and Ancient magic.

Blacksmithing, Alchemy, and Compounding are all at Level 100 and can create dungeon drop items.

God can only manifest on the surface for limited periods before causing magical disasters.

The "Blood Tears of the Demon Lord" is an active magical disaster occurring on the surface right now.

God will be able to speak with the protagonist for five minutes in about one year.

The dungeon must stretch to the sea to split the continents and provide water.

Demon Lords can survive without food or water but still experience psychological hunger and thirst.

The "Summon" function in the "Custom" menu summons companions, not just monsters.

The protagonist was considering visiting towns specifically to find women.

The protagonist's school uniform, smartphone, and grinning face would make him look suspicious.

The 5-7-5 syllable description of his appearance is an accidental haiku.

God's final words are cut off mid-sentence with "Oh crap, wai–no, hol–!"

Translation Notes:

1 ↩ Japanese term for "eighth-grader syndrome"—a pop-culture concept where adolescents adopt delusional grandiose fantasies. Left in romanized form to preserve cultural specificity.

2 ↩ Literally "useless person" or "good-for-nothing." Rendered as "lost cause" to capture the self-deprecating humor of being called worthless in a playful, affectionate context.

3 ↩ Reference to the haiku syllable structure (5-7-5). The protagonist's accidental description of himself (school uniform, smartphone, grinning face) follows this meter, creating a self-aware joke about Japanese poetic form.

Notes:

• God - An ancient, divine benefactor and guide to the protagonist, this deity oversees departed souls with a paternalistic yet playfully childish personality. Speaking with casual, modern exasperation, they act as a protector who grants power while maintaining a rational, persuasive demeanor. Though appearing only as a voice, they frequently apologize for their intimidating presence while seeking favors in return.
