(Guild) Gisekki: You guys are fucking unbelievable.
(Guild) BaekKimchi: ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ When else are you gonna pay for OTT subscriptions? ^^ㅋㅋ;;
(Guild) Jinhee: Can’t pay for itㅋnoperiodㅋ
(Guild) ^Card^: Gise-nim, you’re gonna end up going with YeU-nim anyway^^ Our guild’s blacklisted, so we can’t raid without guild members^^ㅋ
Even without their help, the situation still worked out in YeUbeomjeol’s favor.
Since the guild was blacklisted, Gisekki couldn’t raid without his guildmates either.
(Guild) Gisekki: Fuck this. I’m not going. I’ll go tomorrow.
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: Gisekki-nim, tomorrow is Monday, so the boss resets.
(Guild) Gisekki: Not going.
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: Are you really going to give up the Wilt Rose rewards?
(Guild) QuengKang: ㅇㅅㅇ.. Gisekki.. don’t you need gold..?
(Guild) BaekKimchi: ㅇㅅㅇ.. Last time your gear broke.. so.. you’re broke, right..?
(Guild) NyamNyami: ㅇㅅㅇ.. Also, the option gacha failed.. aren’t you, like.. broke..?
(Guild) QuengKang: ㅇㅅㅇ.. We gotta take down Flower Heads.
(Guild) NyamNyami: ㅇㅅㅇ.... We gotta do it.
(Guild) BaekKimchi: ㅇㅅㅇ.. ... ... We gotta...
(Guild) Gisekki: Ha.
In the end, Gisekki cursed and had no choice but to invite YeUbeomjeol.
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: Finally, the invitation has arrived.
(Guild) QuengKang: Ohhh!!! dㅇㅅㅇb
(Guild) ^Card^: An invitationㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
(Guild) Jinhee: ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Nice, I’ll put in a request.
The moment the invitation went out, the guild members, who had been waiting for it, immediately sent in party requests.
(Guild) Gisekki: When I ask you to come, you don’t; but you show up in three seconds now.
(Guild) QuengKang: ㅇ.<
(Guild) BaekKimchi: >.ㅇ
(Guild) Jinhee: >.<
Earlier, it was so hard to gather a six-person party for Wilt Rose, but now it came together instantly.
Party: Wilt Rose (6/6)
(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: Thank you for the party invite.
(Mage) Jinhee: ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
(Alchemist) QuengKang: Kekekeke 키득키득ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
(Assassin) NyamNyami: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
(Dual Cannon) BaekKimchi: Another win for YeU-nim today ㅊㅊ;;
Since all the guild members wanted to go with YeUbeomjeol, Gisekki had no choice.
(Necromancer) Gisekki: Shut up.
(Assassin) NyamNyami: Meow.
(Necromancer) Gisekki: Fucking talkative, all of you.
(Assassin) NyamNyami: Meow meow meow meow.
(Necromancer) Gisekki: What the fuck are you doing????
(Assassin) NyamNyami: Meowww????
(Necromancer) Gisekki: K, fuck offㄴ
(Assassin) NyamNyami: K, meowㄴ
(Mage) Jinhee: ㅋㅋㅋ Now he’s being treated like a catㅋㅋㅋㅋ
(Mage) Jinhee: But for real, Gisekki-nim kind of has a cat vibe. It’s so annoyingㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
(Dual Cannon) BaekKimchi: Whoa; right?? But not a cat exactly.. like.. what is it..
(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: A lynx?
(Necromancer) Gisekki: You motherfucker.
(Mage) Jinhee:
(Alchemist) QuengKang: ㅜ So funny I’m crying, stoppp I can’t take itㅜ
As usual, Gisekki showed his frustration, but he had no choice but to go on the raid with YeUbeomjeol.
And of course, once inside the raid, nothing changed.
(Necromancer) Gisekki: What, are you making out with the boss????? Why the fuck are you rubbing up against it??????
(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: I apologize.
(Necromancer) Gisekki: K // You’re not even sorry, so stop apologizing.
(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: Sorry.. ah.
As always, Gisekki vented his anger at YeUbeomjeol.
(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: Then, I’ll correct it.
(Necromancer) Gisekki: ?
(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: I’ll correct it.
(Necromancer) Gisekki: You...
YeUbeomjeol’s calm, quiet words turned Gisekki inside out.
(Necromancer) Gisekki: You... fuck...
****
“Ah, seriously...”
Amidst the noisy sounds of the PC bang, a low voice quietly echoed.
The dazzling effects on the screen seemed as if they might burst out at any moment. In front of the brightly flickering screen sat a figure with a hood pulled up over their head.
Under the dark hair, so black it appeared almost blue, a pair of long, fox-like eyes curved slightly. They were eyes that were both neat and serene.
“This is fun.”
Ye Uwon’s gaze was fixed on the chat window, filled with strings of curses that were too vile to repeat aloud.
Ye Uwon chuckled, brushing his fingers across his lips. Lately, he had been smiling so often that the sensation of his lips curling up no longer felt strange.
‘Has it been about a month now?’
He made a slightly bemused expression at the realization that it had nearly been a month since he started following Gisekki around.
‘This is the first time I’ve ever just ditched everything and only played a game like this.’
Recently, he’d become so engrossed in the game that he stopped making plans with people altogether.
Of course, in the beginning, he hadn’t intended to get this deeply involved.
He had only started playing to kill time, but meeting Gisekki and joining the guild had been the start of everything.
‘From now on, I just have to follow Gisekki to every raid.’
Additionally, the goal of sticking close to Gisekki to ensure a smooth guild life had played a significant role. Half of it was a desire to adapt to Gisekki’s reactions, and the other half was a desire to get closer to him. As he kept following Gisekki into raids and dungeons, a month had already passed.
Of course, forming any kind of bond with Gisekki was not easy. Ye Uwon took a moment to recall Gisekki’s words and actions.
(Necromancer) Gisekki: K, hand coordination level, are your fingers broken or what?
(Necromancer) Gisekki: Do Dragon Knights have muscles for eyes too? That’s why you can’t even block the obvious attack on the left ㅉㅉ
(Necromancer) Gisekki: You were so fucking bad that I died because of you
Whenever anything went wrong during a raid, Gisekki always blamed Ye Uwon. Eventually, he got to the point where he berated Ye Uwon even when Ye Uwon hadn’t made any mistakes.
(Whisper) Jinhee: Are you okay..?
(Whisper) HouseParty: Are you alright?
Every time that happened, whispers would flood in, and Ye Uwon would hurriedly respond that he was fine.
(Whisper) Jinhee: You’re not just pretending to be okay, right? ㅠㅠ That was too much, even from my perspective.
Even when he said he was fine, the guild members continued to worry. Guild Master no.10 couldn’t say anything outright, but he always hovered around Ye Uwon whenever he entered the guild territory.
‘This is fine, though.’
But Ye Uwon wasn’t just saying it to be polite; he was genuinely okay.
If anything, he was more amazed at how Gisekki could type at such a blistering speed while still executing all those flashy, high-level moves.
And so, days turned into weeks, and a month passed by.
‘It’s a bit disappointing that he talks less than before, but still.’
Even after all this time, the relationship between the two hadn’t changed. And right now was no exception.
(Assassin) NyamNyami: Is Rose melting... like ice cream...?
Whether it was because he was annoyed at having to raid with YeUbeomjeol, Gisekki was taking out his frustration on the boss.
He was dealing so much damage without even taking a breath that the boss, Wilt Rose, was glitching as if it had malfunctioned. In the end, the raid ended before the boss could even enter its final rage phase.
‘Wilt Rose’ screams as it collapses. Congratulations! Claim your rewards!
(Mage) Jinhee: Wow, a new record?
(Dual Cannon) BaekKimchi: ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ;; Wow, that damage was insane.
It was the first time a boss actually seemed pitiful.
The guild members burst out laughing at the rare sight.
(Assassin) NyamNyami: I seriously did nothing ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
(Alchemist) QuengKang: Huh? It’s over already ㅇㅅㅠ
‘This is the fastest it’s ever ended.’
Ye Uwon’s eyes widened in surprise.
And just as expected, a system notification popped up announcing a new record along with the contribution scores.
The party window exploded in chatter as soon as they saw the numbers.
Contribution Rank 1 (57%): Gisekki
(Alchemist) QuengKang: Good job, everyone.
(Assassin) NyamNyami: ㅋㅋㅋ GG, this is the first time I’ve felt bad for that bitch Roseㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
(Dual Cannon) BaekKimchi: Whoa; did anyone check Rose’s petals? ㅠㅠㅠㅠ What the hell happened to make her go bald like that...
(Mage) Jinhee: ㅇㄴ We totally got carriedㅋ Thanks for the ride.
(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: Thank you for your hard work, everyone.
Since they had set off without a healer, the party consisted of six DPS players. The fact that Gisekki alone had taken 57% of the damage share meant that he’d practically been dealing damage non-stop without a break.
Ye Uwon watched as Gisekki launched himself toward the boss’s corpse, eager to loot his rewards.
Normally, Gisekki would have made some snarky comment, but he seemed in a hurry today, rapidly looting the boss without sparing a glance at the chat window.
Ye Uwon also approached Wilt Rose to claim his reward, seizing the opportunity to speak.
(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: Gisekki-nim, thank you.
Gisekki’s character suddenly froze.
Then, as he glanced at YeUbeomjeol standing right beside him...
‘Gisekki’ has left the party. Party leader has been changed to ‘Jinhee.’
...He left?
Ye Uwon tilted his head, baffled that Gisekki had abruptly left the party and the raid without a word. Jinhee, now the party leader, quickly waddled over to YeUbeomjeol and spoke up.
(Mage) Jinhee: Omg, that guy...
Jinhee made a motion of pointing a finger, as if in disbelief.
(Mage) Jinhee: He left without taking his extra reward.
Left behind, a single, ownerless chest sat there, gleaming.
Owner: Gisekki
