(Guild) HouseParty: this is dicked up.
But regardless, TrustingTheCactus and YeUbeomjeol were totally lost in their own world.
To be fair, from a distance… yeah, it kind of did look that way. But up close, the teary little cactus faces were actually pretty cute, so YeUwon ignored the chat. He had his screen zoomed in anyway.
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: That’s cute lmao
YeUwon then mimicked TrustingTheCactus’s emoticons, saying those were cute too.
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: :( ):
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: :( ):
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: :( ㅎㅅㅎ ):
(Guild) QuengKang: woww it’s a smiley dick now ㅎㅅㅎ
(Guild) no.10: ..??????? wait what the qㅠㅠㅠ
(Guild) Jinhee: ......what the fuck is that... ㅠㅠ
Of course, TrustingTheCactus saw that and got even more hyped, saying YeUbeomjeol had outdone him.
(Guild) TrustingTheCactus: this kid’s got moves ㅎㅁㅎ
TrustingTheCactus, who had been shuffling around just moments ago, started flailing joyfully. The long cactus stem on his head flapped wildly.
(Guild) SIS: ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠoh fuck my eyesㅠㅠㅠ
(Guild) NyamNyami: guild leader please remove these monsters asap
Whoa, that’s cute too. YeUbeomjeol stuck close to TrustingTheCactus and walked quickly side-by-side. The way the long cactus head wobbled was adorable.
As they moved around wiggling together, YeUwon suddenly paused when he caught sight of a jet-black cloak in his field of view.
‘…Scared the shit out of me.’
Standing right in front of him now—without him noticing when he’d arrived—was Gisekki, silently towering over YeUwon, who had shrunk down due to his cactus transformation.
(Guild) NyamNyami: lololol he came to demolish them
(Guild) SIS: lol Se-kki-nim please remove these people ㅜㅜ
(Guild) ThatDPSlessDude: trusted~~~ youuuu~~~
(Guild) Jinhee: This is the first time I’ve been glad to see Gisekki ^^ please kill those two d— I mean, those two. Please. ^^
While the guildmates cheered for his arrival, Gisekki looked back and forth between the cactus-transformed YeUbeomjeol and TrustingTheCactus.
(Guild) Gisekki: ?
Just a single question mark, and his foul mood was obvious. Dressed all in black and holding that massive scythe, the whole vibe was straight-up grim reaper.
‘Is he gonna say something about the cactus?’
Then why the hell had Gisekki been mining cactus, anyway? Wasn’t he trying to make the mirror too?
The way he kept glancing between him and TrustingTheCactus made it seem like he was about to scold them, just like the others.
‘It’s cute though. But I guess I should revert—everyone’s kind of losing their shit.’
YeUwon braced himself, expecting Gisekki to start cussing him out, and began preparing to cancel the transformation… when—
(Guild) Gisekki: lol fuck
(Guild) Gisekki: what the fuck are you two?
YeUwon blinked. That sounded a lot like… interrogation?
(Guild) QuengKang: what, came to catch the cheating husband?
(Guild) ^Card^: fr lmaooo
(Guild) ThatDPSlessDude: no but actually lmaoooo it kinda does look like that lmfaoooo
So he wasn’t the only one who got that impression. Since it obviously wasn’t that kind of situation, YeUwon just let out a soft laugh and replied:
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: Did you come to make the Sad Cactus Mirror too, Gisekki?
Gisekki didn’t answer.
He just kept staring at YeUbeomjeol in cactus form.
(Guild) SIS: wait; is that a yes ;
(Guild) NyamNyami: lmaoooooo that’s a yes~~~
(Guild) QuengKang: him?? for that?? lmfaooo
Of course, before Gisekki could respond, the guild filled in the silence with rapid-fire reactions.
YeUwon thought the cactus was cute. But that didn’t mean he’d go against the mainstream just for it.
‘He probably came to cuss me out.’
Gisekki and cactus? Honestly, they did not go together. But then—
(Guild) NyamNyami: why’s he not saying anything…?
Something felt off. He’d thought Gisekki would start raging any second, but now it was almost like he was agreeing—he still hadn’t replied.
(Guild) Jinhee: seriously?.. no way?...
(Guild) no.10: ㅠ?????
Maybe he was AFK again, or just ghosting chat as usual. Right as they were wondering, a new message popped up.
(Guild) Gisekki: y
That single, shocking “y” (ㅇ) instantly flooded the guild chat with question marks.
(Guild) NyamNyami: ??whaaa???
(Guild) Jinhee: ??dick cactus—I mean cactus?? you’re making that???
(Guild) ^Card^: ?wt???f???omg?Gisekki like dick?!
(Guild) HouseParty: <?!>
(Guild) no.10: what??????ㅠㅠㅠ??ㅠ?ㅠ???
YeUwon was surprised too—it wasn’t what he’d expected—but he was quicker to understand than the others. That earlier cactus-mining spree suddenly made sense.
‘So he did have a thing for it…’
Though he still had no idea why Gisekki had partied with him.
(Guild) TrustingTheCactus: Oho!!!! You just have to go to the crafting NPC!!!
The cactus-obsessed TrustingTheCactus gleefully shouted.
And sure enough, the moment he said that, Gisekki headed toward the crafting NPC.
(Guild) TrustingTheCactus: New cacti always welcome! ^0^
(Guild) Gisekki: lol; shut the fuck up
Gisekki clearly wasn’t thrilled. Just watching the way he walked toward the NPC made that obvious.
Look at those sluggish steps. Like he was being dragged to an execution. YeUwon was bewildered.
‘Does he want it or not?’
Gisekki wasn’t the kind to force himself to do stuff he didn’t like, so it was all the more baffling.
And the guild felt the same—they couldn’t stop reacting in disbelief.
(Guild) ^Card^: is this for real?????;;
(Guild) Jinhee: fr? is this a dream?
(Guild) SIS: oh my god...
(Guild) NyamNyami: why would he… like it… what? d??
(Guild) HouseParty: can’t fucking believe this.
(Guild) NyamNyami: wow HouseParty, you just broke character…
No matter how he felt about it, everyone was stunned that Gisekki voluntarily went to craft the cactus mirror.
While they chatted, YeUwon canceled his transformation.
(Guild) TrustingTheCactus: it was… a beautiful pledge of friendship…
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: haha
YeUwon laughed, then glanced at Gisekki. He was still standing in front of the crafting NPC—probably starting the mirror process.
(Guild) no.10: everyone ~ ㅠ
Just then, guild master no.10 spoke up.
(Guild) no.10: It’s not often we’re all together like thisㅠ
(Guild) no.10: Should we do a guild war?ㅠ
Guild War.
A large-scale PvP event where guilds fight each other.
Unlike the more flexible Territory War which could be done with two or more players, Guild Wars required a minimum of 10 members.
(Guild) NyamNyami: Oh we can just grab the people online rn! Actually even just the ones here are enough.
(Guild) QuengKang: let’s go~ I need to blow off steam~
(Guild) SIS: heh… time to unleash my inner dark goat…
(Guild) QuengKang: meeeeeehhhhheehhhhehhehehhh
(Guild) SIS: get back in there
(Guild) QuengKang: yessir^^
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: Then I’ll go grab a quick meal while you’re all doing that.
YeUwon had never even done a Territory War, let alone a Guild War, so of course he had no intention of joining.
(Guild) Jinhee: What are you talking about? YeU-nim, you have to come too.
(Guild) no.10: Eh?ㅠ YeU-nim, you’re not coming??ㅠ
But things started spiraling.
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: ..Huh?
Me?
(Guild) QuengKang: wow that’s kinda hurtful. obviously you’re coming, no?
(Guild) ThatDPSlessDude: bro are you ditching us???ㅠ
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: ...haha
(Guild) SIS: ha... I’ve never felt so used and discarded...
(Guild) Jinhee: bro… we were good together…
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: I’ve… never even done a Territory War before haha
When YeUwon admitted that honestly, there was a two-second pause… and then a flood of question marks.
(Guild) no.10: wait whatㅠ??
(Guild) NyamNyami: ??? really??
(Guild) Jinhee: ??????? wait you’ve never done that level of content????
Well, that was a fair reaction. God of Water Veil had an extremely robust guild PvP system.
Guild Wars and Territory Wars gave excellent rewards, win or lose. Most guilds treated Territory Wars as daily routine. There were even players who skipped raids and only played PvP.
(Guild) YeUbeomjeol: I was in a guild that didn’t really do Territory Wars.
Though to be honest… YeUwon had never gone.
