Leonard Snart walked down the street, as Joe chased him down quickly heading toward the theatre he was however forced to stop when Joe caught him “Snart!”
Looking over her shoulder Snart saw a squad car in route so he pulled out his new weapon and a ray of Violet flame hit the street by the squad car, and the Street began to freeze over, causing the cruiser to flip over, luckily Joe managed to get out of the way
Quickly getting to his feet Joe ran into the theatre and began to look for Snart only for Snart to appear behind him and shoot his cold gun at him,
A Violet-Gold lightning arrived in time, Joe was about to get hit by the Violet beam, but Barry took him out of the theater, hitting the wall behind.
“Are you ok?” Barry asked as Joe
“Be careful he has some weird gun that freezes stuff” Joe explained what he saw
“I’ll be careful” Barry rushed inside, just to see Snart aiming at innocent people
“Time for a test run.” he said while Barry who was watching him saw him aim at a family causing his eyes to widened before he sped toward them and grabbed them before the beam could hit any of them, getting them to safety Barry rushed around saving people as Snart used them for target practice
Snart kept shooting people, his cold gun was extremely fast but Barry was faster.
Soon almost all the people were evacuated by him.
Just as he was going to shoot again, a black security guard tried to apprehend him, Snart turned back and shot him near point blank.
Everything slowed down even more, Barry sped up even more faster than he has shown anyone, he arrived in front of the guard, taking the brunt.
Barry was thrown away with the guard
It burns, and Its cold Barry thought, while assessing the situation, he regained his balance, and sent the guard to safety.
He was getting slowed down but his resistance and speed healing was counteracting the effect
“There was no one left, Surrender” Barry distorted voice sounded in Snart’s ears, he needed to buy some time, he was vibrating warming up his body
“Nah I don’t think so Flash” Snart smirked he shot at the floor making it all slippery
Barry could not run on Ice or he would slip, colliding at high speed.
“Also I left a little gift for you” Snart smiled, pulling out a remote “You have about thirty seconds before this building goes KABOOM” Snart pressed the button
Damn Barry had recovered he stomped heavily on the floor causing the ice to crack.
He dashed around the building using the cracks for footing, and found multiple bombs around the museum.
He took the bombs before running out of the museums, he ran faster than before, accessing more of his speed.
He ran out of the City, reached out to the bad lands, and threw the bomb in the air with all his might.
He threw the bombs to incredible heights, before detonating.
Barry, seeing the bomb detonating safely, rushed back to the city.
He reached the museum, and as expected Snart was gone.
Barry searched the entire block but he could not find his traces.
Barry sighed and rushed to S.T.A.R Labs.

Barry was sitting shirtless in the medical room, while Caitlin examined the wound which was already healed “It’s okay it healed.” he told Caitlin
“It’s almost like a third degree frostbite.” Caitlin said as she walked to a monitor “Thankfully your rapid regeneration was enough to counter the freezing, otherwise your blood vessels would have frozen solid and the nerve damage would have been permanent.”
Barry put his shirt on, under the regretful eyes of Felicity and Caitlin.
“Snart wasn’t another meta-human.
He has a gun that froze things, slowed me down, luckily I was able to heal in time to take the bombs away” Barry said
“According to his record, Snart didn’t even bother to finish high school, so how did he build a handheld high tech snow machine?” Felicity asked, she hacked Snart’s records
“S.T.A.R.
Labs built the cold gun.” Wells said causing Barry and Felicity to look as to look at him before they looked to Cisco who stepped forward
“Dr.
Wells and Caitlin had nothing to do with this.
I built the gun.” Cisco confessed
“Why?” Barry asked
“Because speed and cold are opposites.
Temperature is measured by how quickly the atoms of something are oscillating.”
“The faster they are, the hotter it is, and when they are cold, they’re slower on the atomic level.
When there’s no movement at all, it’s called Absolute zero, I figured that out, when the gun hit me” Barry finished the science lesson for him
“Yeah.
I designed a compact cryo engine to achieve absolute zero.
I built it to stop you.” Cisco said as Barry watched him “I didn’t know who you were then, Barry.
I mean, what if you turned out to be some psycho, like Mardon or Nimbus?”
“I see, Cisco.” Barry was still calm, not angry he could understand Cisco point of view “But how could it end up in the hands of Snart”
“It was stolen a few days ago, one of the janitors did not come.” Cisco explained his mistake
“You guys really need to up your security” Felicity added, as always breaking the tension
I can’t tell” Cisco looked at Barry he was still calm, he thought Barry would lash out on him
“Angry, No Cisco I am not mad at you.
I can understand why you did this, an unknown person with these extreme powers, If I had been in your place I would’ve done the same…..
but I am a little disappointed you did not trust me enough to tell me this” Barry told his thoughts to Cisco
“I am sorry, I do trust you… its just I didn’t know how to” Cisco hung his head low
“It’s fine, but now figure out a way to find the gun, before he could do more harm” Barry just shook his head.
He left the cortex
Cisco and Dr.
Wells watched Barry leave the cortex.
“I didn’t expect this to be his reaction,” Cisco says.
“Indeed…” Dr.
Wells says, as he feels that the Flash he knows is a little different from the Barry he is seeing now.
The Flash he knew was emotional, but Barry now was very logical.
How much my actions have affected him Wells thought grimly, he has a very bad feeling about this Flash
Training Room
Barry was running on the treadmill, he was actually thinking about this Leonard Snart,
He is captain cold, if I recall correctly.
But I remember him joining the legends, then sacrificing himself to save them….
So his story started like this, Barry was trying to find information he could recall about Snart.
He was interrupted when Caitlin came to the room, he stopped running and looked at her,
“I am sorry for Cisco, he was actually just looking out for us” Caitlin apologized on behalf of Cisco
“Caitlin, like I said I am not mad.” Barry shook his head
“Are you really not mad?” Caitlin could not read his emotions
“Don’t worry not many things could make him angry, this is just a small ruse for him” Felicity also came, she has actually seen how mad he could be.
“I actually admire his cautiousness” Barry said with a smile
Caitlin secretly sighed in relief she did not want any friction between Barry and Cisco, whom she considers a brother.
Barry phone Buzzed, it was Joe
“Hey Joe, yes I am fine” Barry reassured him
“Joe, he will most likely try to take the diamond again, but do not confront him.
The gun he has could reach Absolute zero, meaning it gets extremely cold.
It’s deadly on contact so be careful, S.T.A.R.
Labs are looking for a way to find it.
I will be careful, bye” Barry informed him
“So are you two up for a little practice” Barry thought about training with them
“I will help Cisco look for the cold gun” Felicity ran, she was a sports idiot, although she was strengthened by the serum she could not learn any fighting skills
“Well its just you and me” Barry said
“Me?” Caitlin pointed to herself, confused about what practice
Later
Cortex
Team Flash were in the cortex, searching for Snart when Cisco walked in “I figured out a way to track Captain Cold.”
“You gotta stop naming these guys.” Catlin said as everyone looked at him
“How?” Barry asked
“The cold gun is powered by an engine control unit, a microcomputer that regulates air-to-fuel ratios so the sub-cooled fluid in the chambers don’t overflow and-”
“Explode.” Barry completed him

was receiving updates wirelessly from my tablet.
If I boost the signal using Central City’s network and send a false update, we’ll get a ping back, and then-”
“We can locate Snart.” Wells finished for Cisco
“How long will it take?” Barry asked
“First I have to hack into the City’s network, so I don’t know, 30 minutes, maybe?” Cisco said at a computer as Felicity walked to her laptop

“Are you kidding?” Caitlin asked as she, Wells, and Cisco looked at Felicity in awe

“We got him.
He’s heading west on Nelson toward the train station.” Caitlin said
“If he’s leaving, it appears Mr.
Snart may have gotten what he came for.” Wells said, as Barry put on his suit and sped off
“Before, you have to get to him before he fires the gun at you.” Cisco said
“Don’t worry he won’t escape this time” Barry said in the comms
Central City Train Station
“All available units, suspect spotted at Central City train station.”
Eddie and Joe pulled up to the train station and got out “We got Snart.” Eddie said excitedly before he and Joe ran toward the entrance when Joe turned to him
“Wait here for back up.” Joe ordered before running off
“Wait for back up?
No way.” Eddie said
“That’s an order.” Joe shouted running
Joe was on the platform running with his gun drawn, looking for Snart as he was running he turned and jumped seeing Snart aiming his cold gun at him before he could fire a bullet whizzed passed his head causing Snart to duck and run before Joe saw Eddie run up “I’m your partner, not your assistant.”
An impressed Joe joined Eddie as they chased Snart who jumped on the train, before they could do the same it was already gone, causing them to sigh, before a Violet-Gold lightning sped pass them
Train
Barry sped onto the train beside Snart, he knew there was no use talking so he grabbed him by the neck and ran out of the train, and into a nearby forest, he threw him on the ground
“Its over” Barry said, in distorted voice
“It seemed you learned your lesson” Snart stood up and aimed the cold gun at him “Does your mother know you are past your bedtime”
Barry doesn’t answer
Snart glared at Barry “I’ve seen your weakness at the theater.
See, while you’re busy saving everybody, I’ll be saving myself.”
Snart took out another remote, but before he could press the button he saw The flash, throw all the bombs in front of him
“Enough nonsense” Barry shook his head, he entered flashtime, easily took the remote, retrained him to the nearest tree and took his cold gun and the Khandaq dynasty diamond.
Before Snart could process what was happening he was already tied to the tree
“You win this time Flash, but I’ll be back” Snart knew he had no chance, he would need to further step up his game
Barry has informed Joe of Snart’s location and, this time he double checked and did not find any more gadgets on him, and he left
S.T.A.R.
Labs
Everyone was in the cortex
“Here keep this safe this time Cisco” Barry handed the cold gun Cisco,
“I will lock it up and throw away the keys” Cisco said taking the gun
“Dr.
Allen I will make sure this gun is kept safe” Dr.
Wells reassured, no one more than him wants the Flash to be safe
“Well than I think it enough for today” Barry said,
“Yeah its been a long day” Felicity also added,
“Take care, Barry” Caitlin waved
Barry and Felicity left, he took her to his penthouse.
She was lying on the sofa, Barry brought her something to drink
“You have a good team, Barry” Felicity said
“I know they are nice” Barry nodded, he is enjoying his current team, all except one
“Its time to keep your promise” Barry suddenly said, he picked her up bridal style
“Yelp” Felicity yelped causing Barry to laugh, he took her to his room.
And rest could be left for imagination
