“Who actually likes you?” Jiang Yuanheng quickly reached out to feel Lu Qiwen’s forehead, but the moment he touched it, Lu Qiwen brushed his hand away. “You haven’t been driven mad by this illness, have you?”

Lu Qiwen’s face darkened, glaring at him with an unfriendly look but saying nothing.

“No.” Jiang Yuanheng examined the medical report over and over, then shot Lu Qiwen a suspicious glance. “Your brain isn’t fried either.”Full novel: The Harder the Alpha Bully Kisses, the Harder His Beta Lackey Cries — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Lu Qiwen finally couldn’t hold back and kicked at Jiang Yuanheng. “Get lost. It’s your brain that’s fried.”

Relying on the reflexes he had honed since childhood, Jiang Yuanheng dodged perfectly. “Otherwise, how could you say something like that?”

He slapped the medical report onto Lu Qiwen’s chest. “From childhood till now, I’ve never once heard the word ‘like’ come out of your mouth, okay?”

“Remember that time an omega confessed to you and had barely said a word? Do you recall what you said?”

Lu Qiwen raised an eyebrow. “I don’t remember that happening.”

“You said, ‘Do I know you? And I don’t like omegas.'” Jiang Yuanheng still wanted to laugh whenever he thought about it. “Your tone was so harsh it scared that omega, and they ran off crying.”

“The next day, rumors spread at school that you didn’t like omegas, and some even said you preferred alpha-alpha relationships. Since I was the one closest to you at the time, I almost got dragged into it!”

“Tell me, if those old rumors spread to our current school and my future partner runs off, how are you going to make it up to me?”

“I was telling the truth.”

“Hey, but that’s not how you say the truth, right? Beware of ending up alone.”

Jiang Yuanheng suddenly remembered the beta Lu Qiwen had held in his arms during his episode and clicked his tongue. “I’m telling you, it’s only because that beta has a good temper. Otherwise, they’d definitely have slapped you.”

“Acting like a scoundrel.”

Lu Qiwen didn’t deny it, but he couldn’t help recalling those scenes in his mind.

But that person let him hold them, let him touch their gland without resisting. If that’s not liking, then what is?

“You should go back and apologize properly to them.”

“Apologize for what?”

Jiang Yuanheng was speechless. “You… I don’t even know what words to use to describe you anymore, sir. I concede defeat.”

“I’ll make it up to them myself. No need for you to worry about it.”

Seeing the other lost in thought, Jiang Yuanheng gave Lu Qiwen a disdainful look, leaned back on the sofa, spread his arms across the backrest, and crossed his legs. “Just wait. There’ll come a day when you regret this.”

“Just don’t come to me with five finger marks on your face.”

“Let’s not talk about this anymore. What does your family’s old man say about your illness?”

Lu Qiwen didn’t even blink. “Nothing much.”

“Tsk, don’t be stubborn. You know relying on this stuff to control your out-of-control pheromones isn’t a long-term solution.” Jiang Yuanheng sat up straight, his playful expression gone.

“But what’s strange is that last night, you should have suffered severe backlash. Somehow, your pheromones only stayed on the second floor and didn’t spread outside.”

“Could it be because it was a beta that your body didn’t go into overdrive?”

“Looks like we should investigate in that direction…”

But Lu Qiwen just rolled over, clearly not paying any attention to Jiang Yuanheng’s words.

“Alright, alright, I give up on you.” Jiang Yuanheng sighed. “I’m telling you, Sister Lan and your dad will be back from their trip soon. There’s no point in staying mad at your father.”

Song Yu was discharged from the hospital quickly since nothing was found during the check-up.

When Cheng Yao kindly invited him to return to school together, Song Yu gladly accepted. After all, the system had vanished without a trace, so why force himself to waste money on a taxi?

However.

Song Yu stared at Jiang Yuanheng in the driver’s seat with a bewildered expression.

This wasn’t right, was it? Why was the protagonist’s love interest with the protagonist’s white moonlight??

Song Yu couldn’t help but glance back and forth between Cheng Yao in the passenger seat and Jiang Yuanheng in the driver’s seat.

Feeling the gaze, Cheng Yao nervously clenched the seatbelt with both hands, his face slightly flushed.

Noticing Cheng Yao’s nervousness, Jiang Yuanheng reached over during a red light and patted his hand. “I’ll take you out for lunch later.”

Lunch?

Lunch??!

At that moment, Song Yu felt as if he had stumbled upon something earth-shattering, his breath catching in his throat.

But Cheng Yao shook his head. “No, I haven’t practiced my singing or piano for a week.”

“Alright.” Jiang Yuanheng started the car. “Then I’ll pack something for you.”

Even after getting out of the car, Song Yu was still reeling. When he saw Jiang Yuanheng shamelessly asking Cheng Yao for a kiss, he was utterly dumbfounded.

Cheng Yao shook his head and refused Jiang Yuanheng, but just as the other looked disappointed and was about to get back in the car, he planted a quick kiss on his cheek. Then, without looking back, he dashed to the school gate and waved goodbye.

This world must have gone mad.

That was Song Yu’s first thought after witnessing the scene.

Was the system sure it gave me the right script?

That was his second.

Before Song Yu could figure things out, he had just returned to his dorm and was about to take a shower when someone knocked on the door.

Song Yu was puzzled.

Tonight, the school bully was supposed to stay in the hospital and wouldn’t be back. Besides, it hadn’t been long since the semester started, and he didn’t know anyone else in this dorm building.

So who could be knocking?

With confusion, Song Yu opened the door, only to be startled by the sight of several people standing outside, all wearing warm, friendly smiles.

“Whoa.”

The person at the front, noticing Song Yu’s shock, quickly took a step back. “Hello, please sign for these items.”

Sign? I didn’t order anything.

Song Yu frowned and opened the door wider.

Behind the person stood piles of cardboard boxes, and even further back were several people holding professional cleaning tools.

“I… I didn’t buy anything, and I didn’t call for cleaning services either.”

“These were purchased by Young Master Lu. The recipient is Young Master Song Yu.”

Song Yu opened one of the boxes and found not only branded clothes but also new bedding sets, and even new shower gel and shampoo.

What was this? Was Lu Qiwen planning to cover all his daily necessities??

“Young Master, please take this call.” The middle-aged man leading the group respectfully handed a phone to Song Yu.

“Hello?”

“Did you receive the items?”

“They’re a thank-you gift for you.”

“A thank-you gift?” Song Yu didn’t quite understand.

“And to broaden your horizons a bit, so you don’t accept just anything from anyone.”

The voice on the other end sounded much gentler than usual. Song Yu suddenly recalled Lu Qiwen’s strange behavior the night before and instantly understood.

So the school bully was bribing him to keep quiet.

“Why aren’t you saying anything? Don’t you like them?”

Song Yu couldn’t help but shake his head, trying to clear the jumbled thoughts from his mind. “No, no.” he said.

“Oh, right! I was meaning to ask where you bought those snacks before, they were really delicious!”

“This is actually my first time…”

Before Song Yu could finish, two more people walked in from outside, each carrying bags filled with various snacks.

Song Yu’s eyes instantly lit up.

“Wow! Brother Lu, you’re practically my savior! Don’t worry, I swear I won’t eat these in the dorm even if I starve!”

Listening to Song Yu’s excited voice, Lu Qiwen could almost picture him hugging the snacks with a thrilled expression, and the corners of his mouth lifted slightly in a faint smile.

Before Song Yu’s excitement could fade, a translucent screen suddenly appeared before him.
