Charles had always been extremely efficient in handling matters.

In less than half a minute, Ye Wen had already arrived outside the classroom.

Dressed in a military officer’s uniform, with his hair combed neatly without the slightest disorder, he bent slightly and greeted Luo with a smile.Full novel: The Hatchling I Found Is an Evil God — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Good day, Your Highness Luo. From now on, all courses related to spiritual power training and control in Class A will primarily be taught by me. If you encounter any academic problems at all, you may ask me directly.”

His bearing was impeccable from beginning to end, making him appear exactly like a refined and elegant academy professor.

That was,

If he had not been wearing a pair of fluffy pink cat slippers.

Charles nearly burst out laughing on the spot and only barely managed to maintain a straight face.

“Sorry for dragging you out of bed so suddenly. Thank you for your hard work.”

“Not at all, not at all…”

Only halfway through his sentence did Ye Wen finally realize that something was terribly wrong.

Slowly, he lowered his head and looked at the slippers he had forgotten to change out of.

For a brief instant, the expression on his face twitched completely out of control.

But very quickly, he regained his composure and forced himself to continue acting as though nothing had happened.

“It is my honor to teach His Highness Luo. How could it possibly be considered hard work?”

Hold steady.

As long as he wasn’t embarrassed, then the embarrassed ones would be everyone else.

This was all Charles’s fault.

Who told that guy to inform him last night that His Highness Luo might not actually choose to stay at the military academy?

In a moment of emotional devastation, Ye Wen had lost control and spent the entire night sadly drinking alone.

Luo was secretly trying not to laugh as well.

Under Charles’s guidance, he walked over and sat down in the front row closest to the podium.

All of the classroom facilities at Imperial First Military Academy had been designed according to the physical standards of military females. The original desks and chairs were far too tall for Luo. If he sat in them, his feet would not even touch the floor.

As a result, the academy had specially rushed overnight to custom make an entirely new set of furniture just for him.

The small desk and chair placed among the much larger military females looked especially adorable.

Luo himself had no objections.

After all, he was not particularly interested in having to jump down from his chair every single time he got up.

So he obediently settled into his seat and tilted his head upward, waiting for Ye Wen to begin the lesson.

By this point, Ye Wen had completely adjusted his mental state.

Wearing his fluffy cat slippers, he walked onto the podium, cleared his throat and said,

“Before today’s lesson begins, there is one matter I need to explain first.”

“Due to His Highness Luo’s special circumstances, every class he attends at the academy will be reported in real time to both the Male Protection Association and His Majesty the Insect Emperor. I assume none of you wish for your classroom behavior to be witnessed by His Majesty personally, so I hope everyone will remain mindful of your conduct during class.”

The moment those words were spoken, not only Luo but even the military females seated below looked stunned.

Clearly, none of them had been informed beforehand that even their classes would be monitored.

Toran was the first to recover.

He looked entirely unconcerned by the matter and simply smiled as he replied,

“Understood, Instructor.”

Ye Wen nodded and activated the holographic projection.

“I believe all of you have the right to know this in advance, which is why I mentioned it before class. Since everyone understands now, we can officially begin today’s lesson.”

Thanks to his initial warning, the predatory gazes from the military females during class noticeably restrained themselves afterward.

Only then did Luo finally feel a little more comfortable.

Ye Wen displayed a white thread like model within the holographic projection.

“This is a simulated model of a male insect’s spiritual thread created by the Imperial Research Institute. Although spiritual threads themselves are invisible, with the cooperation of His Majesty the Insect Emperor, the institute was able to reconstruct their approximate appearance by analyzing fluctuations in spiritual energy and magnetic field patterns.”

There was only a single thread within the model.

Yet it twisted and tangled together in an extremely complicated manner while continuously flowing and shifting, resembling a chaotic ball of tangled yarn.

Luo immediately recalled the spiritual tendrils he had previously seen on Fast and nodded thoughtfully.

Mm.

Male insects’ spiritual tendrils really did look like this.

Fast’s simply had not been as long as the model’s.

Ye Wen, who had been closely observing Luo the entire time, naturally did not miss that small nodding motion.

He immediately asked,

“Your Highness Luo, based on the appearance of this model, could you perhaps try starting from the origin point of your own spiritual tendrils and slowly perceive their direction and shape bit by bit? Then perhaps attempt to untangle any knotted portions?”

Luo blinked blankly.

After thinking about it for a moment, he ultimately decided not to say the words “But I could already see them in the first place.”

Instead, he merely nodded obediently.

“I can.”

Ye Wen patiently guided him further.

“Then why not give it a try now, Luo? If you start feeling a headache at any point, stop immediately. Don’t force yourself.”

“Okay.”

Luo agreed readily.

He cautiously released his little tendrils,

Then immediately became troubled upon seeing the countless tendrils surrounding him.

Ordinary male insects only possessed a single spiritual thread.

But Luo had so many tendrils.

Did that mean he needed to perceive every single one of them?

Carelessly exposing the fact that he was different from ordinary males definitely was not a good thing.

Luo had absolutely no desire to suddenly transform overnight from a precious male insect into some strange experimental prisoner.

So he could only grit his teeth and begin sensing outward from the root of each tendril one by one.

Unlike every other young male beginning spiritual control training, who first had to stumble blindly through the process like feeling an elephant in the dark, Luo could directly see spiritual entities themselves.

For him, the process felt less like searching blindly and more like answering a test while staring directly at the answer sheet.

It was unbelievably easy.

Effortlessly, he traced the path of every tendril clearly.

As his consciousness traveled along the tendrils, the shapes surrounding his body gradually began taking form within his mind as well.

Then suddenly,

An indescribably strange sensation rose within him.

It felt as though he had abruptly fused together with his tendrils themselves.

He could almost clearly sense the flow of energy running through every single tendril.

No.

More accurately speaking,

They had always been one entity to begin with.

That thought suddenly surfaced within Luo’s mind.

And at the exact instant that realization appeared,

The tendrils around him seemed to sense something too.

Excitedly, they began waving violently.

The energy that had previously flowed in an orderly manner through the tendrils suddenly lost all control, rampaging chaotically in every direction.

Alarmed, Luo hurriedly tried to withdraw his spiritual power and regain control over the tendrils.

But no matter how hard he tried, it was completely useless.

He had lost control again.

Countless tendrils erupted outward with him at the center, instantly smashing apart the chair beside him.

Had that military female not reacted quickly enough to leap away to the side, then the thing shattered into pieces likely would not have been merely the chair,

But the female himself.

“Watch out! Everyone move! Get out of the classroom!”

Ye Wen barely managed to dodge the spiritual force hurtling toward him as he shouted for everyone inside the classroom to evacuate immediately.

“BOOM!”

With a deafening explosion, the podium was mercilessly smashed apart by the raging tendrils. A jagged shard of metal flew past the back of Ye Wen’s head, narrowly missing the chance to slice off half his skull.

He rolled across the ground and leapt down from the podium in one smooth motion, utterly unable to comprehend how a simple beginner lesson on spiritual perception had somehow turned into a disaster of this scale.

All he could do was yell at the top of his lungs,

“Everyone get out! Jump through the windows!”

Military females were naturally tough and durable. A fall from a window would, at worst, leave them with a few scrapes and bruises.

But getting struck by the violently out of control spiritual tendrils of a male insect was an entirely different matter.

Especially when that male was an overwhelmingly powerful and still completely unknown S rank male like Luo,

This was genuinely the kind of situation where insects could die!!

Fortunately, the military females reacted quickly enough.

One after another, they rushed toward the windows and escaped at top speed.

Ye Wen stayed behind at the very end. Only after confirming that every last female had successfully evacuated did he finally leap out of the window himself.

At this point, the classroom had already been reduced to utter ruins beneath the rampaging tendrils.

Even the tiny custom made desk and chair the academy had specially prepared overnight for Luo had been completely obliterated without leaving behind a single intact piece.

But Luo no longer had the energy to care about any of that.

Just moments earlier, he had nearly exhausted every ounce of his strength merely trying to keep the tendrils from striking the insects inside the classroom.

And now,

With nobody else left inside besides himself,

Luo finally lost all remaining ability to restrain them.

BOOM!

Another earth shaking crash rang out.

Even the surrounding ground trembled violently along with it.

The classroom walls collapsed instantly in response, crashing downward with thunderous force until nothing remained except the foundation exposed beneath the blazing sunlight.

The entire classroom had been demolished into rubble.

Perhaps the tendrils had finally realized that they had caused trouble.

The wildly thrashing appendages gradually quieted down one after another before sheepishly retreating back toward their host as though feeling guilty.

In the end, only Luo remained standing blankly amidst the ruins.

Teachers who had rushed over after hearing the commotion surrounded the area from every direction.

The military females who had escaped moments earlier now looked battered and disheveled.

Students from nearby classes had also gathered around to watch the spectacle unfold.

The entire place was filled with noise and chaos.

Luo: ……

So, basically,

On his very first day of school…

He had destroyed the classroom.

He should still be allowed to continue attending school…

Right?
