I begin to prepare myself for my senior year in high school. I have my clothes all laid out from the night before. I step out of my room after getting dressed and head towards the door after kissing my mother on the cheek to say good bye.
I hop into my jeep and head towards my best friend’s house to pick him up for school. Tony and I have been best friends since we met in Kindergarten when he saved me from being bullied on the playground. We have been inseparable ever since that day. Even our Moms treat us like we are their own child.
We arrive at school and head straight to our lockers. We prepare to head to our home room when I smell the sweetest smell I have ever smelled. I glance around wondering where the smell is coming from. I can feel myself becoming excited. That has never happened to me before. What is this new sensation I am feeling? I glance over at Tony to see if he is feeling the same way that I feel right now. Tony just looks at me and asks if I am ready to go to home room. I don’t see anything unusual in the hallway so we head to class. I am most definitely tripping and chose to ignore what has happened. Something strange is definitely going on with me and I hope that it is not too serious of a problem.

I am new to this school and I have yet to make friends on my first day of school. My senses tell me that there are two supernatural beings in front of me and I wonder if they can sense me as well.
I walk through the hallway heading to my home room as I walk past the lockers on this hall, I smell the sweetest smell that I have ever smelled. I know that our mates smell amazing to us when we meet them, but my mate can’t be here because this is a human high school, right? But what about my senses telling me that supernatural beings are in my presence. Maybe I am just imagining things. I scan the halls with my hazel eyes and twirl my soft natural twists around my finger. This is a nervous habit I have had as long as I can remember. I am so nervous being the new girl in this school. I sure hope I have a good day today unlike my previous school.
