My sources tell me that Erik has changed his normal routine for the night. I will be following him tonight to see what has prompted this change. My curiosity is getting the best of me. In spite of moving from town to town over the last 3 years his behavior has become predictable. I am trying to settle my nerves because I fear that he may be close to something that I have missed over the years. I will bide my time and let Erik lead me to whatever this is. I have a gut-wrenching feeling that he will discover something that will unravel my unbridled bliss that I have had for nearly 18 years. I haven’t yet detected anything out of the ordinary on the supernatural realm but I am erring on the side of caution with this pesky Erik.

My dinner guests have all arrived. When I invited Erik to dinner it was an act on my part to continue whatever this is between us. Ever since I met him in town my body and senses have been going haywire, but not in a bad way. I have not felt this way in years since before Lamar was born. Erik has always stirred my soul. Is it fate or coincidence that we end up in the same town together. I know I am risking everything by inviting Erik, but the man makes me feel alive again. I know that the time for hiding in the dark with Lamar has come to an end with Lamar coming into full adulthood in a few months. Erik will be able to teach and guide Lamar into his destiny.
Judging from the fact that Erik has brought his beautiful daughter to dinner, he must have found his mate after the tragedy took place with the former Alpha and Luna. Kamari must look like her. I am not jealous because I always prayed that he would be happy even if he was not with me. I made my choice all those years ago when I decided to raise Lamar as my own and forsake the life that I had built. I would not and could not have made a different choice when I set my eyes on Lamar’s innocent face all those years ago. I would have never left Lamar to face his parents same tragic fate.
I look around the table and realize that I want whatever this new life has in store me. I pray that we will be safe in the future for the sake of fulfilling the prophecy. I wonder why Erik has not recognized me yet, perhaps it has been too many years ago for him to remember. Perhaps the protection veil that I have placed over Lamar and myself has had some affect on Erik’s memory of me. Only time will tell.
