Lamar has had the weirdest look on his face since we came downstairs. He looks like a lovesick puppy. My thoughts are that he has found his mate in this girl who is at the dinner table, Kamari. I also noticed that same look today when we were at our lockers. Yes, I know what a mate bond is. My mother and I have lived amongst the humans since the night after I was born for my protection. My mother was given a dream one night that I was destined to be the protector of an alpha until he comes of age. I have been fulfilling that duty since the day that I stepped in to protect Lamar from bullies on the playground in Kindergarten. Over the years, a strong bond has been formed between Lamar and myself of an inseparable bond. I would not hesitate to lay down my life to protect Lamar. Not only is it my duty, but also I have never witnessed anyone with the pure heart and compassion that Lamar possesses. My life is his without out a doubt if it is needed. It has been a privilege to guide and protect Lamar.
I watch my life long best friend struggle with his emotions about Kamari and I will guide him in the ways of learning about the mate bond once he reveals to me his connection to Kamari. I know that he will begin to experience changes within him when he turns 18. I am already 18. It will be time for Mystic, myself, and Erik to reveal ourselves to our alpha. I don’t think that Erik has figured out that this our alpha just yet, but I will find the opportunity to approach him because he is a key player in the adult phase of Lamar’s life. I know that I will have multiple roles in Lamar’s life in the future.
I am a Lycan protector of “the Alpha.” My bloodline has been passed down from generation to generation through the males in my family. My father died before he could pass on his knowledge to me while performing his duties protecting Lamar’s parents. My mother was then given the task to train me and guide me because she was the destined mate of a Lycan Protector and she is the female version of my father. Two protectors were predestined to be mates for this purpose knowing that my mother would raise the next generation that would be more powerful than the previous generations because the bloodline of two protectors created me.
I have inherited the combined powers of both my mother and father. I have always known and used my powers only when necessary. I am now stronger than any other Lycan Protector who came before me. When I turned 18, my wolf revealed more to me. I am now a lethal triple threat to anyone who tries to harm my Alpha. One of my powers is having a mind link to the alpha that I protect. I project my thoughts into his mind in his voice for now, but soon we will mind link with my voice being projected. I can also read Lamar’s thoughts and the thoughts of those surrounding him for his protection. Again, I am not like any other Lycan protector before me and that makes me uniquely designed to fulfill my destiny. I have more powers, but these powers are necessary to use for now.
