“What a shitty mission! Instead of letting me go kill an SSS-Class Anomaly and make a name for myself, they’ve got me stuck here dealing with an F-grade, useless NPC who can’t even lift a blade. This is so damn frustrating!”

Outside the clinic, a man in a leather jacket blew out a smoke ring, his fierce gaze fixed on the silhouette of the doctor treating a patient inside.

Wearing a white coat and gold-rimmed glasses, Wen Shi had a gentle, handsome face that wore a reassuring smile. He raised a bloodstained axe and chopped off the patient’s left leg.Full novel: The Infinite Flow BOSS Drops the Act and Kisses the Player — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Doctor!” the Female Ghost screamed, her eyeballs popping out of their sockets in terror. “It’s my right leg that’s necrotic—you cut the wrong one!”

Wen Shi’s slender fingers grabbed one of the crimson eyeballs and elegantly crushed it, his smile kind:

“Cut where it’s broken, madam. Please don’t question my professionalism.”

The patient’s remaining eyeball bulged out in fury.

Remembering Wen Shi’s earlier actions, it retreated into her skull, leaving only dark, empty sockets to observe him secretly.

She gritted her teeth: “It’s my left leg that’s broken!”

“It’s the clinic’s anniversary celebration. Consider this a complimentary service—I’ve cut both your left and right legs.” Wen Shi patted her bald head. “No need to thank me.”

A bone-chilling cold shot from the top of her head down to her entire body.

The Female Ghost reached up to touch her deformed head and suddenly sat up: “My hair! Wait—this isn’t my head!”

“Oh? Didn’t you say during the consultation that you wanted to swap for a smarter head?”

Wen Shi admired his surgical work with satisfaction. “I gave you a free replacement.”

The Female Ghost’s smart new head went blank: “What happened to its original owner?”

“At the crematorium.” Wen Shi chuckled softly. “By now, he should be about medium-rare.”

For the first time, the patient—a Specter herself—felt that in front of this seemingly harmless doctor, she was as naive as a child.

He was practically a devil!

“I’m done! I’m not getting treated anymore. I’m coming clean.” She rolled off the bed with a thud. “I’m your sister!”

Wen Shi smiled and pulled open the wardrobe in the operating room. Inside, piled neatly, were no fewer than a hundred bizarrely shaped corpses:

“This place is full of my ‘sisters.’”

The patient’s smart head went blank again: “I’m your sister’s mother…”

Wen Shi gently pushed aside the operating table, revealing rows of corpses arranged neatly, each bearing a tragic death. “This place is full of my ‘mothers.’”

Her mouth agape in horror, the patient stared fixedly at Wen Shi: “You damn…”

“If you’d like to see ‘your damn’ or ‘your damn mother,’ you can lift the floorboards.” Wen Shi kindly reminded the patient.

As a doctor, paying constant attention to a patient’s emotional state was essential.

“Devil! You’re the real devil!” The patient’s pale face instantly twisted into a fierce expression. Blood-red Tentacles shot out from her eye sockets:

“I’ll kill you!”

Wen Shi frowned, his tone serious: “No causing disturbances in the clinic.”

“Disturb your ass! I’ll disturb you to hell!”

The patient opened a bloody maw, her mouth splitting all the way to the back of her ears, revealing sharp, saw-like teeth:

“I’ll eat you! This smart brain might even evolve further.”

Wen Shi smiled, raised his axe, and cleanly split the patient’s head in two without the slightest hesitation.

Blood splattered across his gentle, handsome face, lending him a sinister kind of beauty.

“I really don’t know what to do with you emotionally unstable patients.

If I can’t solve the problem, I’ll just have to solve the person causing it.”

Wen Shi touched the silver Möbius ring on his hand, his eyes curving into crescents:

“You don’t believe any of my nonsense, but you believed me when I said I replaced your head with a smarter one?”

He did replace the patient’s head.

However, it was a brain afflicted with cancer, one that could fail at any moment.

His white coat was splattered with blood. Wen Shi frowned as he crouched down and began sorting the patient.

Among categories like sister, mother, and “your damn species,”

Wen Shi tossed him into the “medical dispute” pile.

After searching for a while, Wen Shi found no Points watch or similar items, confirming the patient wasn’t a Player.

He rummaged through the medical waste bin a bit longer.

Finally, he found the patient’s original head.

“No wonder you looked familiar—you were my neighbor,” Wen Shi muttered, elegantly tidying the chaotic operating room.

Three years ago, Wen Shi awakened to consciousness while treating a patient.

He realized he was a Boss living in an Infinite Flow Game called 【Divine Descent】.

Unlike other ferocious Dungeon Bosses,

he was a gentle and harmless doctor.

In the game’s lore, Wen Shi was a doctor abandoned by his family, stripped of his memories, friends, and lover—a soul yearning for love.

The Players’ task was to win him over.

【Instance Mission: Achieve 100% progress in winning over the Boss, or survive seven days to succeed.】

The former rewarded a large amount of Points to exchange for Special Items.

The latter offered nothing but survival.

The Infinite Flow Game was divided into ten ranks: F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, and the legendary SSS Plus.

The F Rank Instance Wen Shi presided over was practically a boon for Players.

Every Player chose to win Wen Shi over.

Players assumed roles such as:

Wen Shi’s lover, family, or friend.

Over three years, all Players were wiped out.

Wen Shi’s small clinic accumulated a heap of: fathers, mothers, siblings, and lovers.

Aside from Players, Wen Shi also had a group of neighbors coexisting with 【the Tomb】.

These neighbors eyed his clinic covetously, exhausting every means to seize it.

Wen Shi politely declined them all.

And occasionally paid visits to “clean up” impolite neighbors.

From Players, he learned that when the Blood Mist descended at night, anyone without a Sanctuary would die.

To stay safe, one needed fixed property.

There were many ways to acquire property,

including but not limited to marrying an NPC or Dungeon Boss, making their house joint marital assets,

or seizing someone else’s property.

Thus, Wen Shi’s neighbors changed rapidly; every day brought new faces.

Some neighbors were quiet, some noisy, and some relentlessly chopped meat with bone cleavers…

As long as they didn’t disturb him, Wen Shi paid no mind.

But he couldn’t stop his neighbors from growing restless, attempting to forcibly take his small clinic.

Like the neighbor who had just disguised himself as a patient.

When Wen Shi first became aware of this world, he quietly observed how Players tried to win him over.

He enjoyed watching their horrified expressions as they dealt with the bizarrely shaped corpses of deceased patients.

Some were terrified, some thrilled, some fearful.

Yet whenever Wen Shi appeared, every face wore a smile—devoid of genuine emotion, all acting, all doting affection.

And so…

Wen Shi acquired a group of free labor.

He presided over what was supposedly the weakest F Rank Instance.

Yet the Players who arrived were all ruthless bandits and scoundrels, each bearing at least five innocent lives on their conscience.

Wen Shi would grade every Player.

When the other party thought they had achieved 100% progress in their strategy.

Wen Shi would mischievously give them a score of zero.

Then he would enjoy watching the players scream hysterically, roar, curse, and struggle.

Watching them die violently amidst their wails.

‘Voluntarily’ becoming anatomy cadavers.

Wen Shi didn’t think he was sick.

He conscientiously observed his own psychological state every day.

From the initial confusion and helplessness, he had now reached a state of calmness.

Wen Shi’s mental state was excellent—so much so that he even wanted to open a psychiatric hospital.

Unfortunately, unable to leave the clinic’s 500-meter radius, Wen Shi’s wish remained unfulfilled.

“Although the instance’s persona for me is fabricated, one thing is true.”

Wen Shi muttered to himself: “I truly have lost my memory, and…”

He glanced at his feet.

His shadow had run away.

Without his shadow, he wouldn’t live long.

Wen Shi had to leave the small clinic and find it.

He had only seven days.

If he couldn’t break free from the instance’s restraints within seven days, his awakened consciousness would be erased, and he would die.

Wen Shi needed the heart of a Divine Official.

In the game Divine Descent, there was a special group of authorities: [Divine Officials].

[Divine Officials] could be top-tier players with special authority.

Or they could be the highest-level dungeon bosses, capable of appearing anywhere in the game.

They were the only top-tier powerhouses who could walk freely in the night without being devoured by the blood mist.

Their most notable characteristic was that they shone like lighthouses in the blood mist, visible only to dungeon bosses or players with special artifacts.

As long as he obtained the heart of a [Divine Official], he could leave the instance.

Divine Officials specialized in hunting awakened dungeon bosses. Once they entered an instance, they could precisely locate and eliminate them.

“Ding-dong, ding-dong—”

The doorbell rang.

Wen Shi closed the cabinet door, casually restored the operating table to its original position, and pushed the medical waste into the hallway.

He glanced outside.

It was nighttime, and a golden figure was walking toward the clinic through the blood mist.

Wen Shi’s pupils contracted, and his body tensed.

It was a Divine Official.

Starting a new book now, same old rules, [Forbidden] KY, the gong is Xu Jie, courtesy name Shu Da, [Wen Shi Shu Da, quick to learn and swift to act] 1V1 dual powerhouses.
