Bai Lou was unaware that he had gained trust by being so attractive.

Could he ever go back?

His clear cat eyes were filled with confusion. In truth, he had no one left to care about on Blue Star. But it was, after all, his home, a place he knew well.Full novel: The Kitten Was Coveted by a Wolf King — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Unlike here, everything was unfamiliar, and every place dangerous. He could only cautiously try to understand the thoughts of these people, hoping to find a temporary place to stay where he could recover from his injuries and learn about this place.

“It’s not on the Azure Wood Continent. I don’t know where it is. I can’t find my way back, and I don’t even know what this place is like.” The white cat’s eyes were full of despair, even its ears drooped slightly.

Looking at the pitiful, beautiful cat, the priest’s heart softened, and he didn’t ask any further questions. Bai Lou and Lang Zhan were both injured. As long as their origins were confirmed, and Bai Lou intended to stay, these curiosities weren’t urgent and there would be plenty of opportunities later.

The priest’s voice was gentle, and his smile kind. He said softly, “There are dozens of tribes on the Azure Wood Continent. Since you can’t go back, I suggest you choose one to stay in.”

Bai Lou glanced cautiously at Lang Zhan and meowed softly at the priest.

“I’m not familiar with this place. Can I stay in the Wolf Tribe for now?”

The priest looked at Lang Zhan. This was a decision for the tribe leader.

His injured right arm hung motionless at his side. The numerous wounds on his body did not diminish Lang Zhan’s imposing aura. He looked at Bai Lou. “Can you transform into human form now?”

Bai Lou tilted his head, not quite understanding, but still explained softly, “Meow~” Not now, he was too weak. He would have to wait until tomorrow.

The spiritual energy here was abundant. If he absorbed it overnight, he should be able to transform into human form.

Temporarily abandoning his plan to show Bai Lou to the tribe’s bachelors, Lang Zhan said calmly, “You can stay, but the tribe won’t support an adult beastman for free, nor can they afford to. You’ll need to support yourself, or find someone willing to take care of you.”

He didn’t know how the White Cat Tribe had survived on the beastman continent. While the cat tribes on the Green Wood Continent were weak, catching mice and rabbits was no problem, and they could occasionally hunt herbivores like antelopes and deer when united.

But this cat wasn’t even as big as a rabbit so it couldn’t possibly survive on grass alone, could it?

Bai Lou had no objection. Although it had previously relied on its cuteness and beauty for survival, it didn’t lack other skills.

As a demon, Bai Lou felt confident it could survive after recovering from its injuries. It wanted to stay here simply to find a safe place to live and a way to learn about this world.

Of course, it wouldn’t mind free meals. Unfortunately, this place was full of beastmen so probably no one would be interested in keeping a cat.

“Meow~” Okay.

Seeing that it agreed, Lang Zhan got up and walked outside. “I’ll give you some meat tonight, and you can hunt for yourself starting tomorrow.” Considering its size, he added, “Or you can pick fruit with the females.”

Bai Lou didn’t care about being looked down upon. It felt a little excited at the thought of food tonight—it was indeed very hungry.

However, it used to meow when it was fed, and if it was a clean and gentle lady, it would let her pet it.

Lang Zhan probably had no interest in that…

What should it do? Bai Lou followed him, pondering this with concern.
